In this paper we deal with the small area estimation for the case that the response variables take binary values. The mixed effects models have been extensively studied for the small area estimation, which treats the spatial effects as random effects. However, when the spatial information of each area is given specifically as coordinates it is popular to use the geographically weighted logistic regression to incorporate the spatial information by assuming that the regression parameters vary spatially across areas. In this paper, relaxing the linearity assumption and propose a geographically weighted kernel logistic regression for estimating small area proportions by using basic principle of kernel machine. Numerical studies have been carried out to compare the performance of proposed method with other methods in estimating small area proportion.

Symbiotic evolutionary algorithms, also called cooperative coevolutionary algorithms, are stochastic search algorithms that imitate the biological coevolution process through symbiotic interactions. In the algorithms, the fitness evaluation of an individual required first selecting symbiotic partners of the individual. Several partner selection strategies are provided. The goal of this study is to analyze how much partnering strategies can influence the performance of the algorithms. With two types of test-bed problems: the NKC model and the binary string covering problem, extensive experiments are carried out to compare the performance of partnering strategies, using the analysis of variance. The experimental results indicate that there does not exist statistically significant difference in their performance.

The symbiotic partner effects the change of individual's fitness and search direction. In this study we are to analyze how much partnering strategies can influence the performance of the algorithms. For this goal extensive experiments are carried out to compare the performance of partnering strategies. The NKC model and the binary string covering problem are used as the test-bed problems. The experimental results indicate that there does not exist statistically significant difference in their performance.

We propose a new 2-step phase-shifting digital holographic optical encryption technique and analyze tolerance error for this cipher system. 2-step phase-shifting digital holograms are acquired by moving the PZT mirror with phase step of 0 or ${\pi}$/2 in the reference beam path of the Mach-Zehnder type interferometer. Digital hologram with the encrypted information is Fourier transform hologram and is recorded on CCD camera with 256 gray-level quantized intensities. The decryption performance of binary bit data and image data is analyzed by considering error factors. One of the most important errors is quantization error in detecting the digital hologram intensity on CCD. The more the number of quantization error pixels and the variation of gray-level increase, the more the number of error bits increases for decryption. Computer experiments show the results to be carried out encryption and decryption with the proposed method and the graph to analyze the tolerance of the quantization error in the system.

Molecular dynamics simulations have been carried out to investigate the scattering and penetration properties of hydrogen ions with the normal incident angle to Ni (100) surface. The initial kinetic energies of hydrogen ions range from 100 to 1,600 eV. The simulation results are used to assess the applicabilities of theoretical predictions based on the binary collision approximation, and, in the high kinetic regime, theoretical results for scattering energies were shown to he a good agreement with molecular simulations. The angle dependencies on both scattering and penetration distributions were found in the longitudinal direction, but not in the azimuthal direction except for the high kinetic energy of 1,600 eV.

In these days $SF_6$ mixtures and alternative gas has been studied because of global warming. so although many studies have been carried out about binary gas mixtures with $SF_6$, few studies were presented about breakdown characteristics of $SF_6/N_2$ mixtures. In this paper, breakdown experiment values and breakdown simulation value are compared. Streamer theory was used for predicting breakdown voltage. For accurate simulation, this simulation apply utilization factor using CST program. AC breakdown experiments in non-uniform field was performed to compare with the breakdown simulation values. But with gap lengths increasing, the breakdown voltage is saturated. So simulation need surface roughness factor.

The fluid flow, mass transfer and film thickness variation during a wafer spin coating process are numerically studied. Governing equations for the cylindrical coordinates are simplified using the similarity transformation and solved efficiently using the finite difference method. Concentration dependent viscosity and the binary diffusivity of the coating liquid are used in the analysis. The time variational velocity components of the coating liquid and the film thickness are analyzed according to the various spin speed. When the evaporation is considered, the flow decease in the early times due to the increase of the viscosity and the resultant flow resistance. Effects of the two film thinning mechanism, the flow-out and evaporation are also considered in the analysis.

1. Objectives: The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between adiponectin and metabolic syndrome according to Sasang Constitution. 2. Methods: Six hundred sixty six participants were included in this cohort study. Sex, age, BMI(Body Mass Index), smoking, drinking, adiponectin level and Metabolic syndrome components were considerd. Sasang constitutional diagnosis was carried out by a sasang constitutional specialist using photos, questionnaires and PSSC(Phonetic System for Sasang Classification). 3. Results: In binary logistic analysis after adjustment of age, sex, BMI, smoking, drinking, adiponectin level and sasang constitution were related with Metabolic syndrome. 4. Conclusions: We suggest that adiponectin and sasang constitution are the important biomarker in Metabolic syndorme.

본 논문은 이진 사운딩시퀀스를 이용하여 채널 임펄스응답을 측정하는 새로운 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 이 새로운 방법은 한개의 상관기를 이용하는 대신에 세 개의 상관기를 이용하나 이상적인 채널 임펄스응답을 얻을 수 있다. 본 세안 방법에서 이용되는 사운딩 시퀀스의 부류는, GSM에 기반을 둔 디지틀 셀루리 이동전화 시스템에서 사용하는 채널 임펄스응답측정 이진부호로서 0 지연과 중간 지연을 제외한 모든 지연에서 자기상관함수 값이 영의 값을 갖는 채널응답측정을 위한 트레이닝 시퀀스이다. 또한 본 논문에서는 0 지연과 중간 지연을 제왼한 모든 지연에서 자기상관함수 값이 영이 되는 이진부호를 탐색하는 효과적인 방법을 제시한다.

2,4-이니르로 염화벤젠과 p-톨루이딘, 아닐린 및 p-염화아닐린간의 반응속도론적인 연구를 메탄올-아세트니트릴 혼합용매에서 실시하였다. 알코올의 수소에 의한 특수용매화로 실험결과를 해석하였으며, 용매의 변화에 따라 반응메카니즘이 변함을 알았다.
