  • This parer proposes application of quality costing system in quality improvement area. Cost of quality in quality improvement area provides a valuable of both providing the need for improvement and giving a starting point for project. WQCMS(Web-based Q-Cost Management System) have ability to collect and analyze quality data generated from various different departments in the inside or outside of the enterprise without any limitations, if end-users are able to access wide area network. It provides the capability to integrate quality information from database and to generate various easy analysis reports to management's needs using built-in analysis tool modules with real-time. Web-based quality cost management system to measure the performance of quality improvement activities in the business firms. This paper proposes standard model for quality cost process in quality improvement area.

  • Configuration management is a process that establishes and maintains consistency of a product with its requirements and configuration information throughout its life cycle. This paper deals with the improvement of configuration management for weapon system. We analyze configuration management system, organization, human resource, regulations, and automated system of USA. Then we apply the ideas to our proposal for the improvement of configuration management. The proposal for the improvement of configuration management consists of three parts. The first one is the improvement of configuration management for weapon system by R&D, the second one is the improvement of configuration management for weapon system by foreign acquisition, and the last one is the improvement of configuration management in the aspects of organization, human resource, regulations, and automated system. This paper will be contributed to the activation of configuration management system and the efficiency of acquisition project management.

A Study on the Comparison of CMM and ISO9001 for Software Process Improvement (소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 위한 CMM과 ISO9001간의 비교 연구)

  • Recently, CMM have been recognized as a critical factor to validate the competitiveness of software organizations, even if the organizations have already achieved the ISO9001 certification. Furthermore, the new version of ISO9001:2000 is being required instead of ISO9001:1994. Both CMM and ISO9001 have a common point that they pursuit quality improvement for the organizations processes and products. Therefore, it is important to understand the similarities of specific requirements between the two models in software organizations which attempt to employ both of the models. From this background, this paper compares CMM and ISO9001 by considering the versions in 1994 and 2000 of ISO9001. The results of this research are likely to help software organizations ma]fe a decision for a strategy to adopt CMM and ISO9001.

  • The vehicle's light-weight technology is divided into optimization of structure geometric and material. Structure geometric optimization and improvement of materials has examined to be power-train and maintenance on the severe condition. The core technology of Special vehicle's light-weight is constitute by Drop box, Axle and Final reduction gear. Technology and product of the parts is high to overseas and import dependency. We will want to examine the possibility of light-weight for the Axle Case and Drop box-connections. In this research, conventional design of excess weight will inhibit the mobility and fuel efficiency. Through the improvement of Axle material, we saw the possibility reducing weight. If you use the results of these studies, it will be available to domestic production technology and reducing weight of RV car, Dump truck, Track crain, etc.

  • The feedback control scheme of the pressure control system of the rear wheel steering gear which has relatively large volume and sprung load was built up in order to improve th response characteristic of the system. The control algorithm chosen was a feedback compensator joined by a feedfoward compensator and the model matching method was used in the process of control system design. The structures and properties of the reference models were inspected and the parameters of the controller were decided. The improvement of the response characteristic of the pressure control valve by means of the feedback control is affirmed. Particularly, when the order of the system model is higher than the 2nd order, the effectiveness of the feedback control on the improvement of the response characteristic of the valve is distinct. And the convenience of the model matching method is the process of control system design is confirmed as well.

  • Software Process Improvement(SPI) has been a challenging issue to software organizations. The factors affecting SPI were analysed for improving software development processes. Numerous studies suggested influencing factors, and assessment models were utilized for software improvement. This research suggested that SPI factors affecting on an organizational performance may vary according to the CMM(Capability Maturity Model) level. The moderating effects of organizational maturity level between the SPI factors and the organizational performance were empirically tested. This research found that all six SPI factors except for the resistance to change affected the organizational performance. The moderating effects of management support, goal alliances, participation, and effect analyses were empirically supported. These results can provide several implications or a practical guidance to academic and industry professionals.

A Study on the Ralstonia Solanacearum Inactivation using Improved Plasma Process (개선된 플라즈마 공정을 이용한 Ralstonia Solanacearum 불활성화에 관한 연구)

  • Effect of improvement of the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma system on the inactivation performance of bacteria were investigated. The improvement of plasma reactor was performed by combination with the basic plasma reactor and UV process or combination with the basic plasma reactor and circulation system which was equipped with gas-liquid mixer. Experimental results showed that tailing effect was appeared after the exponential decrease in basic plasma reactor. There was no enhancement effect on the Ralstonia Solanacearum inactivation with combination of basic plasma process and UV process. The application of gas-liquid mixing device on the basic plasma reactor reduced inactivation time and led to complete sterilization. The effect existence of gas-liquid mixing device, voltage, air flow rate (1 ~ 5 L/min), water circulation rate (2.8 ~ 9.4 L/min) in gas-liquid mixing plasma, plasma voltage and UV power of gas-liquid mixing plasma+UV process were evaluated. The optimum air flow rate, water circulation rate, voltage of gas-liquid mixing system were 3 L/min, 3.5 L/min and 60 V, respectively. There was no enhancement effect on the Ralstonia Solanacearum inactivation with combination of gas-liquid mixing plasma and UV process.

The Nursing Record Evaluation of the Application of the Nursing Process (간호과정 적용에 따른 간호기록지 평가)

  • According to the provious study. it was suggested a need for improvement of nursing care through application of nursing process in Ewha Womans University Hospital With those data. it has been applied to the nursing care at maternity ward by nurses. This study was undertaken to determine the evaluation of the application of the nursing process which is an orderly. systemic min of deforming the patient's/client's nursing problems. This study involved 191 cases with patient chart and was carried out from Feb. 1979 to Feb. 1980 is Ewha Womans University Hospital. The results were as follows : 1. Actual performance of“Assessment”stage was 59%, and 45 % for the nursing diagnosis. 2. It was achieved with specific planning of nursing care for 71.6% and the plan was safely and effective implemented (97.9% ). 3. Afer“Implement”stage it was made of evaluation and feedback process (39%). 4. Nurses in Eha womans University hospital. they showed the Positive attitude toward the application of nursing process. but they saggested that there were lack of manpower and the consideration of time allocation. Recommandation are as follows : 1. All nursing staff must participate in continious education program for nursing process. 2. The results suggest a need for modification for the nursing history formeat and SOAPIER. 3. A need for improvement of physical condition for interview and effective utilization of nursing staff. 4. It will more effective when Dr's medical record replace by problem ariented aedical record( POMR).

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to get a meaningful information for improving manufacturing quality of the products before they are produced in client's manufacturing process. Methods: A variety of data mining techniques have been being used for wide range of industries from process data in manufacturing factories for quality improvement. One application of those is to get meaningful information from process data in manufacturing factories for quality improvement. In this paper, the failure rate at client's manufacturing process is predicted by using the parameters of the characteristics of the product based on PCA (Principle Component Analysis) and regression analysis. Results: Through a case study, we proposed the predicting methodology and regression model. The proposed model is verified through comparing the failure rates of actual data and the estimated value. Conclusion: This study can provide the guidance for predicting the failure rate on the manufacturing process. And the manufacturers can prevent the defects by confirming the factor which affects the failure rate.
