  • Trajectory modeling is foundational for 4D-Route modeling, conflict detection and air traffic flow management. This paper proposes a novel algorithm based Vincenty's fomulas for trajectory calculation, combined with the Dijkstra algorithm and Vincenty's formulas. Using flight plan simulations our experimental results show that our method of En-route trajectory calculation exhibits much improved performance in accuracy.

  • We propose a new path planning method for autonomous mobile robots. To maximize the utility of mobile robots, the collision-free shortest path should be generated by on-line computation. In this paper, we develop an effective and practical method to generate a good solution by lower computation time. The initial path is obtained from skeleton graph by Dijkstra's algorithm. Then the path is improved by changing the graph and path dynamically. We apply the dynamic programming algorithm into the stage of improvement. Simulation results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed method.

  • We propose a motion planning method for autonomous mobile robots. In order to minimize traveling time, a smooth path and a time optimal velocity profile should be generated under kinematic and dynamic constraints. In this paper, we develop an effective and practical method to generate a good solution with lower computation time. The initial path is obtained from voronoi diagram by Dijkstra's algorithm. Then the path is improved by changing the graph and path simultaneously. We apply the dynamic programming algorithm into the stage of improvement. Simulation results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed method.

  • To mitigate the performance degradation caused by performance anomaly, a number of channel assignment algorithms have been proposed for multi-rate wireless mesh networks. However, network conditions have not been fully considered for routing process in these algorithms. In this paper, a joint scheme called Multi-rate Dijkstra's Shortest path - Rate Separated (MDSRS) is proposed, combining routing metrics and channel assignment algorithm. In MDSRS, the routing metric are determined through the synthesized deliberations of link costs and rate matches; then the rate separated channel assignment is operated based on the determined routing metric. In this way, the competitions between high and low rate links are avoided, and performance anomaly problem is settled, and the network capacity is efficiently improved. Theoretical analysis and NS-3 simulation results indicate that, the proposed MDSRS can significantly improve the network throughput, and decrease the average end-to-end delay as well as packet loss probability. Performance improvements could be achieved even in the heavy load network conditions.
