The correlation between noise and vibration by a heavy-weight floor impact was studied. The triggering technique was used for increasing the reliability and stability to measure the level of sound pressure, sound intensity and vibration acceleration. The simple finite element and rigid body analysis method were suggested to calculate the natural frequencies of the multi-layer floor system. The result show that the isolation material adapted to reduce the light-weight floor impact noise, causing the natural frequency lower, make resonance with dominant driving frequency, and increase the noise level very sharply. Therefore the noise level Peak in the region of low frequency, below 63Hz, would be related with the natural frequencies of the floor system.

The nonlinear vibration of the CRT shadow mask is analyzed in consideration of the V-shaped tension distribution and the effect of wire impact damping. The reduced order FEM model of the shadow mask is obtained from dynamic condensation for the mass and stiffness matrices. Damping wire is modeled using the lumped parameter method to effectively describe its contact interactions with the shadow mask. The nonlinear contact-impact model is composed of spring and damper elements, of which parameters are determined from the Hertzian contact theory and the restitution coefficient, respectively. The analysis model of the shadow mask with damping wires is experimentally verified through impact tests of shadow masks performed in a vacuum chamber. Using the validated analysis model of the shadow mask with damping wires, the‘design of experiments’technique is applied to search fur the optimal damping wire configuration so that the vibration attenuation of the shadow mask is maximized.
This paper investigates the ground vibration induced by high-speed trains moving on multi-span continuous bridges. The dynamic impact factor of multi-span continuous bridges under trainloads was first determined in the parametric study, which shows that the dynamic impact factor will be large when the first bridge vertical natural frequency is equal to the trainload dominant frequencies, nV/D, where n is a positive integer, V is the train speed, and D is the train carriage interval. In addition, more continuous spans will produce smaller dynamic impact factors at this resonance condition. Based on the results of three-dimensional finite element analyses using the soil-structure interaction for realistic high-speed railway bridges, we suggest that the bridge span be set at 1.4 to 1.5 times the carriage interval for simply supported bridges. If not, the use of four or more-than-four-span continuous bridges is suggested to reduce the train-induced vibration. This study also indicates that the vibration in the train is major generated from the rail irregularities and that from the bridge deformation is not dominant.

In this study, examined heavy-weight floor impact sound to structure that have slab thickness of 4 form at a standard laboratory through noise and vibration measured. The results show that the nature Natural frequency increased according to change of thickness of each slab by finite element analysis, and acceleration value decreased. Results of measurements of noise and vibration at a standard laboratory, the slab 210, 240mm structures was construed result such as finite element analysis but the slab 150, 180mm structures is construed that influence in vibration acceleration level because edge condition has condition that contact to ground. Therefore, in modelling process for analysis, is thought that need that condition analyzes examining element influencing about structure that contact to ground.

The purpose of this study is to investigate a investigating of a floor-impact isolation system using damping materials in apartment buildings. The stiffness elastic modulus(k) by puls impact forces were calculated loss factor by Hilbert transforms. It is absolved that natural frequency was moved floor shock-absorbing materials and the impact force was reduced by floor panel. The slab was constructed by damping materials. As towards a result, the system showed inverse A 45dB by heavy weight-impact noise and inverse A 52dB by light-impact noise. High frequencies impact-noise can be reduced by upgrading naturial frequency of vibration and noise in the system.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of a new heavy weight impactor, the Rubber Ball. Until now Bang-machine has been used to measure the heavy impact noise in accordance with JIS A 1418-1. However, various kinds of examination methods have been needed to make an objective observation of insulation capacity for floor impact noises. Two types of experiments were undertaken. First, the experiment about noise was carried out about an apartment building in actual living condition. Then. vibration noises from the impactors were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows : the result of experiment carried out with bonded area of bail was closer to practical experiment than that of non bonded area. In addition, the result about bonded area of ball was more similar to the result which is claimed by H. Tachibana than that about non bonded area. Moreover, it was found that Rubber Ball has more similar vibration characteristics to the real impact noise source than Bang-machine.
In the ground vibration due to demolition blasting vibration and impact vibration of collapsed structure are separated. In this paper, model structures were collapsed by blasting with different charge locations. Ground vibrations were measured and separated as blasting and impact vibrations by waveform and dominant frequency. Vibration characteristics of different charge locations were examined.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the vibration attenuation effects of the different type of gloves and drilling mode while operating a light-weighted powered hand drill. For the experimental design, five different kinds of glove(barehanded cotton partly coated anti-vibration, and open-finger vibration glove) two types of push force level(100N and 200N) and two types of drilling mode(impact and non-impulsive) were considered. Six healthy male subjects were employed to drive screws into a vertically mounted marble plate with a powered hand drill in a randomly ordered experimental conditions. The findings of this study are summarized as follows; (1) It was found that the best combination of overall BMS transmissibility was using impact drilling mode with anti-vibration glove among evaluated experimental conditions (2) The wearing open finger vibration glove in mid-frequency level and anti-vibration glove with impact drill in high-frequency were the best in the result from mean corrected transmissibility equation of ISO 10819.

A multi body simulation (MBS) model is developed for predicting the impact harshness of the vehicle. Impact harshness is the vehicle performance to evaluate the impulsive vibration behavior during driving over an obstacle of the road. Thus, the approach is simulated on the time domain for considering the transient behavior of the vehicle. The validity of vehicle component modeling of bushes, dampers and structure flexibilities is verified. The simulations are compared with the test results in both of vertical and longitudinal directions. In particular, the vertical vibration of the vehicle is significantly affected by the body flexibility. Through the sensitivity analysis, main factors for the impact harshness performance are investigated.
