X3DOM을 이용한 가상현실 (Virtual Reality Using X3DOM)

  • 웹 3D 기술은 과학, 의료, 공학 그리고 멀티미디어 가시화의 경험을 시뮬레이션하기 위해 사용될 수 있다. 웹 환경에서 3D 가상현실은 운영체제 등에 관계없이 사용될 수 있으며, 가상현실은 3차원 컴퓨터에 의해 생성된 현실적인 영상, 음향과 다른 감각을 표현하고 사람들과의 사용작용을 원활하게 하기 위해 사용될 수 있다. 특히 가상현실에 참여하는 사람들은 몰임하여 객체를 조작할 수도 있고, 원하는 목표를 위해 단계별 행동을 실행할 수 있다. 일반적으로 웹 환경에서 3D 상호작용 콘텐츠를 정의한 ISO 국제표준인 X3D를 이용하여 가상현실 공간을 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 X3D 가상현실 공간에서 스테레오 렌더링을 논의하고, HMD VR을 위한 새로운 X3D 노드를 제안한다. 제안한 노드들은 X3D 웹 브라우저인 X3DOM에 의해 가시화되었다.

  • 최근 증강현실 기술이 나날이 발전하면서 모바일을 이용한 증강현실 기술은 이동성과 대중성의 장점으로 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 모바일 증강현실은 모바일을 활용하여 현실세계에 가상의 정보를 접목시키는 기술로써 유아 교육 활용시에 높은 관심과 흥미도로 인하여 새로운 학습경험을 유발할 수 있다. 본 논문은 그림을 3D 어류 모델로 디스플레이 하도록 구현한 유아용 어류백과 사전이다. 3D 어류 모델은 사용자의 요구에 의하여 6축 방향의 회전이 가능하며 축소 및 확대도 가능하다. 또한 어린이의 흥미도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 효과의 음향도 삽입하여 유아들이 책에 대한 흥미도를 이끌도록 구현하였다. 어린이들을 대상으로 본 시스템을 사용한 결과 어류백과를 학습할 경우 기존의 책보다 4배 이상 관심과 흥미도가 높았다.

  • 건설프로젝트가 복잡화, 대형화됨에 따라 사업단계별 참여주체 간 의사소통 및 협업을 위해 BIM기술 도입이 가속화 되고, BIM을 활용한 효율적인 시각화 방식의 도입에 대한 사용자의 요구가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 따라 BIM과 NUI 융복합 기술의 세계 시장은 지속적으로 성장하고 있지만 국내에서는 전무한 실정이다. 특히 공동주택의 분양단계는 고객의 의사결정을 위해 건축정보를 가장 효과적으로 전달해야 하는 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 공동주택 분양단계 프로세스별 분양마케팅 전략 및 마케팅 사례분석을 통해 공동주택 분양단계의 현황을 분석하고, 분양마케팅 시 건축정보 전달 측면에서 발생하는 문제점에 대해 AHP 기법을 활용하여 중요도 및 우선순위 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 해결하기 위해 BIM 기반의 가상현실 기술을 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다.

영화 [실미도]의 이데올로기와 리얼리티에 대한 비판적 고찰 (A Critical Study on Ideology and Reality of Silmido)

  • 영화 [실미도](2003)는 은폐되었던 역사적 사실을 폭로하면서 실미도에서 행해진 특수부대의 훈련 과정을 스펙타클하게 묘사한다. 말하자면 영화라는 허구적 공간이 사실적으로 변모된다. 영화는 파쇼적인 정부에 대해 비판적 시각과 함께 정부의 권위를 보호하는 이데올로기적 모순을 노출시킨다. 또한 영화는 이런 역사적 사건을 재현하는데 있어서 신파와 같은 멜로적 표현에 의한 감성적 과잉으로 묘사한다. 여기서 관객의 동화작용은 비극적 민족 담론으로부터 파생되는 감정 이입으로 성취된다. [실미도]는 이성적 차원이 아닌 감성적 차원에서 상상의 공동체라는 민족의식에 호소하는 영화이다. 시각적 영상은 남과 북으로 나뉜 민족적 비극이라는 감상주의에 의해 더욱 고조된다. [실미도]는 신파적인 감상주의를 통해 분단 이데올로기에 의해 야기된 비극적 상황을 더욱 심화시킨다. 더구나 이 비극에서 군사정부는 야만적으로 묘사되는데 비해 실미도 부대원들은 영웅적으로 묘사되고 있다.

과학과 상상력의 중첩성 (The superposition of Science and Imagination)

  • Gaston Bachelard had a revolutionary progress in the field of human understanding by proposing his theory of image and imagination. His theory of the new image was so powerful, almost all areas of human science, particularly that of literary criticism, were strongly influenced and this influence continues until today. Today almost everyone accepts his theory of the image without much objection, but not rarely asked where began his transfer from the philosophy of science to the images. We propose a hypothesis that the beginning of the new concept of Bachelard's image was inspired by studies of contemporary science, especially quantum mechanics. The Heisenberg's uncertainty principle was the core of quantum mechanics, and opens new perspectives on the material world. We could summarize the message of the uncertainty principle : the material world is made up of various layers, and the material can not be measured by the location and movement at the same time. So we must have a new point of view of another dimension to know this material world. Bachelard had accepted this view of Heisenberg and developed his own theory of epistemological rupture. What is revolutionary in the theory of Bachelard's image is the fact that he looked at the images with the new perspective. The human psyche is another world compared to the rational world that dominates our daily lives. Bachelard insists that the image can not be explained by the concept. The fantasy world is a totally different world to that of rationality. That is why it can not be explained by the language of rationality as the concept. The imaginary world exists independently of the real world, but it is superimposed on the real world. These two worlds are influencing each other, and it is between these two world where our daily lives continues. The declaration of Bachelard 'image is a specific reality' is never a metaphor or rhetorical expression. This is an ontological expression that must truthfully. The imaginary world is a world built on the image and it works according to its own law. It is not a representation or copy of the real world. But the world of imagination are not alone. It exists in the same time and space with the world of science. It is superimposed with the world of science. Both two world influence each other. Bachelard has made a revolutionary change by studying the images. He gave them their own place. It has changed the views on the images that were treated as mere representations of reality. Thanks to him, the image can have its own value, that of a factor that creates reality. Bachelard shows how we can go deep into the source of being and the universe if we look at the pictures with the eyes of other dimensions.

소설 『토지』 배경지 평사리의 문화산업화와 콘텐츠 변화 방향 연구 (A Study on the Cultural Industrialization and Content Change Direction of Pyeongsari, a Novel 'Toji (Land )' Background Space)

  • 이 논문은 소설 『토지』의 주요 무대이자 작중인물들의 삶에 새겨진 원체험 공간인 평사리의 의미를 진단하고 <토지> 콘텐츠 플랫폼으로서의 평사리의 방향성을 제안한다. 소설 속 가상공간인 평사리는 원작의 배경지에서 출발하여 하동군의 대표 문화 공간으로 현재 자리매김하고 있다. 그런데 이 공간의 방문자들이 자기만의 장소성을 체험하기 위해서는 문화체험형 콘텐츠로 재탄생할 필요가 있다. 원작에서 평사리는 이상적 공동체이자, 수난과 개척이라는 한국 근대사의 축도로 존재한다. 그러므로 이러한 의미를 살려 유교문화, 여성의 노동문화, 무속문화를 보여주는 문화체험공간을 마련하여 방문자들의 체험을 이끌어내야 한다. 아울러, 평사리 재편의 동력이 된 변용작품들과 연계하여 앱을 개발하고, 증강현실을 이용한 교육과 체험 공간을 웹에 마련한다. 디지털과 현실의 이러한 교호작용은 원작이나 변용작품들의 의미를 사유하게 하는 동시에 방문자들이 저만의 장소성을 확보하는데 기여한다. 또한 이를 통해 평사리는 한국문화와 삶의 의미를 사유하는 문화체험 콘텐츠 플랫폼으로의 진화가 가능하다. 이 글은 '의미 있는 장소들의 지리'를 위한 평사리의 공간 기획 방향성을 제언한다는 점에 그 의미가 있다. 또한 문학 작품 원작의 상상 공간이 현실의 공간을 어떻게 재편해 왔는지를 보여줌과 동시에 문학작품의 미디어 콘텐츠화와 문화예술산업 지형 구축에도 시사점이 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 미래의 영상 콘텐츠를 조작하는 사용자 인터페이스(User Interface)가 3차원 중심으로 변화할 것이라 예측하여, 지금까지의 2차원 인터페이스와 3차원 인터페이스간의 공통점과 차이점을 GUI(Graphic User Interface)의 원칙을 기준으로 연구하고 3차원 인터페이스의 특징을 가상현실의 원리를 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 이러한 이론적 연구를 바탕으로 실재의 2차원 인터페이스를 3차원 인터페이스로 변경 제작하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며 개혁확산이론에 근거하여 작성된 설문조사의 분석을 통해 2D와 3D 인터페이스를 비교하고 3D 인터페이스가 차세대 영상 콘텐츠의 주력 인터페이스가 될 수 있는 지의 가능성의 여부를 타진해본 결과 기존의 인터페이스를 대신하여 더 많은 시장가치를 지닌 인터페이스로서의 면모를 발견할 수 있었다.

현대회화에서의 형태와 물질 -Digital Transfiguration에 관한 연구- (Digital painting: Image transfonnation, simulation, heterologie and transfonnation)

  • The words which appeared in my theoretical study and work are image transformation to digital painting, simulation, heterologie and transfiguration, etc. Firstly, let's look into 'digital era' or 'new media era'. Nowadays, the image world including painting within the rapid social and cultural change, which is called as digital era, is having the dramatic change. Together with the development of scientific technology, large number of events which was deemed to be impossible is happening as real in image world Moreover, these changes in image world is greatly influencing to our life. The word which compresses this change of image world and shows is 'digital'. Digit, which means fingers in Latin, indicates separately changing signal, and to be more narrow, it indicates the continual signal of '0' and ' 1' in computer. The opposite word is 'analogue'. As analogue is the word meaning 'infer' or 'similarity', it indicates the signal or form which continuously changes along the series of time when it is compared to digital. Instead of analogue, digital is embossed as a major ruler along the whole area of our current culture. In whole culture and art area, and in whole generalscience, digital is appearing as it has the modernism and importance. The prefix, 'digital', e.g. digital media, digital culture, digital design, digital philosophy, etc, is treated as the synonym of modernism and something new. This advent of digital results the innovative change to the image world, creates the new beauty experience which we could not experience before, and forecasts the formation of advanced art and expansion of creative area. Various intellectual activities using computer is developing the whole world with making the infrastructure. Computer in painting work immediately accomplishes the idea of painters, takes part in simulation work, contingency such as abrupt reversal, extraction, twisting, shaking, obscureness, overlapping, etc, and timing to stimulate the creativity of painters, and provides digital formative language which enables new visual experience to the audience. When the change of digital era, the image appeared in my work is shown in 'transfiguration' like drawing. The word, 'transfiguration' does not indicate the completed and fixed real substance but indicate endlessly moving and floating shape. Thus, this concept is opposite to the substantial consideration, so that various concepts which is able to replace this in accordance with the similar cases are also exist such as change, deterioration, mutation, deformity of appearance and morphing which is frequently used in computer as a technical word. These concepts are not clearly classified, and variably and complicatedly related. Transfiguration basically means the denial of "objectivity' and '(continual) stagnation' or deviation from those. This phenomenon is appeared through the all art schools of art ever since the realism is denied in the 19th century. It is called as 'deformation' in case of expressionism, futurism, cubism, etc, in the beginning of the century, which its former indication is mostly preserved within the process of structural deviation and which has the realistic limit which should be preserved. On the contrary, dramatic transfiguration which has been showing in the modern era through surrealism is different in the point that dramatic transfiguration tends to show the deterioration and deviation rather than the preservation of indicated object. From this point, transfiguration coming out from morphing using computer deteriorates and hides the reality and furthermore, it replaces the 'reality'. Moreover, transfiguration is closely approached to the world of fake or 'imaginary' simulation world of Baudrillard. According to Baudrillard, the image hides and deteriorates the reality, and furthermore, expresses 'not existing' to 'imaginary' under the name of transfiguration. Certain reality, that is, image which is absent from the reality is created and overflowed, so that it finally replaces the reality. This is simulation as it is said by Baudrillard. In turn, Georges Bataille discusses about the image which is produced by digital technology in terms of heterologie. Image of heterologie is the visual signal which is established with the media. Image of media is to have the continuous characteristics of produce, extinction, and transformation, and its clear boundary between images becomes meaningless. The meaning of composition, excess, violation, etc of digital image is explained to heterological study or heteologie suggested as important meaning of Georges Bataille who is a heretic philosopher. As the form and image of mutation shows the shape in accordance with mechanical production, heterologie is introduced as very low materialism (or bas materialisme), in this theory. Heterologie as low materialism which is gradually changing is developing as a different concept and analysis because of the change of time in the late 20s century beside high or low meaning. Including my image, all images non-standardizes and transforms the code. However, reappearance and non-standardization of this code does not seem to be simple. The problem of transformation caused by transfiguration which appears in my digital drawing painting, simulation, heterologie, etc, are the continual problems. Moreover, the subject such as existence of human being, distance from the real life, politics and social problems are being extended to actual research and various expressing work. Especially, individual image world is established by digital painting transfiguration technique, and its change and review start to have the durability. The consciousness of observers who look at the image is changing the subject. Together with theoretical research, researchers are to establish the first step to approach to various image change of digital era painting through transfiguration technique using our realistic and historical image.

However, they came out with an idea "avata" Soon, the avata became a hit and its known for its success. Avata is used for E-mail, name card, post stamp, and chatting. Also, Avata is very popular among chatting service, icon chatting, and 3D graphic chatting. Avata represent the user himself in internet and computer created imaginary space, and it connects between imaginary space and reality, also it exist between real name and nick name. Past years, the internet users were satisfied with their nick name, however resent year users wants to express them more. For the result the "Avata" is created to fulfill the need to express user themselves. There are three different ways to see how Korean react to fashion industry. first, Korea's land structure makes the density of population high, the transmission of information is very fast. Next, collectively is high among Koreans. Finally wide use to internet made the transmission of the fashion information much faster. The User wants to keep up with the fashion at the sametime they want to express themselves, and "avata" is the one that fulfill their needs. New technology and the desire to express themselves made the new term "avata industry". which was never existed before. In addition, the internet markets have potential power. Although, it is in start stage of avata industry. However, the experts say that its possibility of its development is not predictable. In conclusion, watch the development of a situation to analyze the avata industry and develop new avata fashion market.

웹 2.0 시대 패션에 나타난 남성의 자아이미지 - 퍼스널 패션블로그를 중심으로 - (Men's ego-images represented on the fashion blogs in web 2.0 era)

  • In the era of 2.0 web, blog has become the media that men can express themselves with fashion more actively and independently, as paying much attention to their personal appearance and cultivating an upscale lifestyle. They often create their fashion images in the virtual space where enables a free and creative operations of self-expression. The study aims to identify the types of men's ego-images represented on the personal fashion blogs based on the framework of analysis from the previous research (Suh, 2014), to build the base data for analyzing men's fashion style in $21^{st}$21st century that reflects changes in men's sexual images, and to verify the framework as comparing with the previous case study about the women blogs (Suh, 2014). The case studies conducted 5 men's personal blogs such as bryanboy, iamgala, little fashionisto, katelovesme, and stylentonic. The study results almost same types of women's ego-images as following. The imaginary ego-image is classified as narcissism, regression, identification, and virtuality, the social ego-image as symbolism of roles and others'desire, the real ego as primary instinct, practical reality, object a, jouissance and sexual perversion. The personal style of men shown on the fashion blogs appears as a significant factor to analyze male customers in the growing men's beauty and fashion market.
