화상처리를 이용한 칩유동의 해석에 관한 연구 (A study on the analysis of chip flow by the image processing)

  • This paper describes the method on image acquisition and image processing in the turning process. The formation of discontinuous chips during high-speed oblique cutting without lubricant was observed by means of video camera recorder and stroboscope. The image processing technique for chip flow is described and the results are presented for variable feeds. It is concluded that experimental values of chip flow angle are similar to theoretical values of Stabler's rule.

소나 영상 촬영을 위한 자율항법 시스템 구현 (Implementation of AUSV System for Sonar Image Acquisition)

  • 본 논문은 쏘나 영상 촬영을 위한 무인자율항법(AUSV Autonomous Unmanned Surface Vehicle) 시스템 개발에 관한 연구이다. 자율항법 시스템은 선체에 모션센서, DGPS에 의한 현재 경위도 좌표와 목표지 경위도 좌표의 차를 가지고 선체의 추진체(Thrusters)를 FF-PID 알고리즘으로 제어한다. 실험결과, 목적지 좌표에 대한 제어좌표 오차는 전체 항법거리 1km 에서 6 meter 이하이며, 자율항법 모드에서의 Sonar Image 촬영 결과물은 유인선 촬영 결과물과의 차이는 12 pixel 이하로 전체 영상 차이는 거의 식별할 수 없이 동일하다. 개발된 시스템은 유인선으로 촬영 불가능한 해저 지형에 대한 Sonar Image 촬영을 위한 새로운 방법으로 활용 가능하다.

A real-time vision system for SMT automation

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a real-time, high-precision vision system and its application to SMT(surface mounting technology) automation. The vision system employs a 32 bit MC68030 as a main processor, and consists of image acquisition unit. DSP56001 DSP based vision processor, and several algorithmically dedicated hardware modules. The image acquisition unit provides 512*480*8 bit image for high-precision vision tasks. The DSP vision processor and hardware modules, such as histogram extractor and feature extractor, are designed for a real-time excution of vision algorithms. Especially, the implementation of multi-processing architecture based on DSP vision processors allows us to employ more sophisticated and flexible vision algorithms for real-time operation. The developed vision system is combined with an Adept Robot system to form a complete SMD system. It has been found that the vision guided SMD assembly system is able to provide a satisfactory performance for SND automation.

Restoration of Images Contaminated by Mixed Gaussian and Impulse Noise using a Complex Method

  • Many approaches to image restoration are aimed at removing either gauss or impulse noise. This is because both types of degradation processes are distinct in nature, and hence they are easier to manage when considered separately. Nevertheless, it is possible to find them operating on the same image, which produces a hard damage. This happens when an image, already contaminated by Gaussian noise in the image acquisition procedure, undergoes impulsive corruption during its digital transmission. Here we proposed an algorithm first judge the type of the noise according to the difference values of pixel's neighborhood region and impulse noise's characteristic. Then removes the gauss noise by modified weighted mean filter and removes the impulse noise by modified nonlinear filter. The result of computer simulation on test images indicates that the proposed method is superior to traditional filtering algorithms. The proposed method can not only remove mixed noise effectively, but also preserve image details.

  • Image denoising is a key issue in all image processing researches. Generally, the quality of an image could be corrupted by a lot of noise due to the undesired conditions of image acquisition phase or during the transmission. Many approaches to image restoration are aimed at removing either Gaussian or impulse noise. Nevertheless, it is possible to find them operating on the same image, which is called mixed noise and it produces a hard damage. In this paper, we proposed noise type classification method and a mixed nonlinear filter for mixed noise suppression. The proposed filtering scheme applies a modified adaptive switching median filter to impulse noise suppression and an efficient nonlinear filer was carried out to remove Gaussian noise. The simulation results based on Matlab show that the proposed method can remove mixed Gaussian and impulse noise efficiently and it can preserve the integrity of edge and keep the detailed information.

통신해양기상위성 송수신자료전처리시스템의 감시 및 제어 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of COMS DATS C&M S/W)

  • COMS DATS C&M 소프트웨어는 통신해양기상위성(CONS)의 송수신자료전처리시스템에 대하여 상대감시 및 원격조정기능을 제공하는 통합관리시스템이다. DATS C&M 소프트웨어는 시스템 관리 모듈, 감시 및 제어 모들, 데이터 관리 모듈, 그리고 상태 데이터 분석 모듈로 구성되어 있으며, 특히 감시 및 제어 모듈은 위성운영센터가 기상위성센터의 백업 시스템으로 송수신자료전처리시스템을 운영하도록 결정됨에 따라 동일만 두 시스템의 동기화를 지원하도록 설계되었다. 이 논문에서는 DATS C&M 소프트웨어의 설계, 구현, 그리고 개발 결과에 대한 내용을 기술하고 있다.

콘크리트 터널 라이닝 균열검사 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Inspection System for Crack on the Lining of Concrete Tunnel)

  • To assess tunnel safety, cracks in tunnel lining are measured by inspectors, who observe cracks with their naked eyes and record them. But manual inspection is slow, and measured crack data is subjective. Therefore, this study proposes inspection system fur measuring cracks in tunnel lining and providing objective crack data to be used in safety assessment. The system consists of On-vehicle system and Laboratory system. On-Vehicle system acquires image data with line CCD camera on scanning along the tunnel lining. Laboratory system extracts crack information from the acquired image using image processing. Measured crack information is crack thickness, length and orientation. To improve accuracy of crack recognition, the geometric properties and patterns of cracks in concrete structure were applied to image processing. The proposed system was verified with experiments in both laboratory environment and field environment such as subway tunnel.

레이저 구조광 영상기반 3차원 스캐너 개발 (Development of 3D Scanner Based on Laser Structured-light Image)

  • This paper addresses the development of 3D data acquisition system (3D scanner) based laser structured-light image. The 3D scanner consists of a stripe laser generator, a conventional camera, and a rotation table. The stripe laser onto an object has distortion according to 3D shape of an object. By analyzing the distortion of the laser stripe in a camera image, the scanner obtains a group of 3D point data of the object. A simple semiconductor stripe laser diode is adopted instead of an expensive LCD projector for complex structured-light pattern. The camera has an optical filter to remove illumination noise and improve the performance of the distance measurement. Experimental results show the 3D data acquisition performance of the scanner with less than 0.2mm measurement error in 2 minutes. It is possible to reconstruct a 3D shape of an object and to reproduce the object by a commercially available 3D printer.

Contact image sensor를 위한 고속 영상 처리 보드 구현 (An implementation of the high speed image processing board for contact image sensor)

  • This paper describes the implementation of a high speed image processing board. This image processing board is consist of a image acquisition part and a image processing part. The image acquistion part is digitizing the image input data from CIS and save it to the dual port RAM. By putting on the dual port memory between two parts, during acquistion of image, the image processing part can be effectively processing of large-volume image data. Most of all image preprocessing part are integrated in a large-scaled FPGA. We arwe using ADSP-2181 of the Analog Device Inc., LTD. for a image processing part, and using the available all memory of DSP for the large-volume image data. Especially, using of IDMA exchanges the data with the external microprocessor or the external PC, and can watch the result of image processing and acquired image. Finally, we show that an implemented image processing board used for the simulation of image retreval by the one of the typical application.
