A Pyramidal Mirror System Calibration Method for Robotic Assembly

  • In case of visual sensing systems with multiple mirrors, systematic errors need to be reduced by the system calibration and the mirror position adjustment in order to enhance system measurement accuracy. In this paper, a self calibration method is presented for a visual sensing system designed to measure the three-dimensional information in deformable peg-in-hole tasks. It is composed of a CCD camera and a series of mirrors including two pyramidal mirrors. By using an image of the inner pyramidal mirror taken by the system, the error parameters of the inner pyramidal mirror could be calibrated or adjusted. Also the influence of the plane mirrors is investigated.

  • Recently lots of study on EL have been performed by other researcher. Organic multilayer system of TPD/$Alq3$ and Rhodamine 101 perchrolate/Alq3/ was constructed on ITO and finally Al as cathodic electrode. The thickness of emitting layer was $150{\AA}$ and device was fabricated by changing amount of dopant. AFM image for each surface morphology and EL spectra using fluoromax-2 was investigated. Electrical and emission properties of EL device was dependent on deposition method and condition.

소형 무인항공기용 영상센서 기반 이동표적표시 기법 (Moving Target Indication using an Image Sensor for Small UAVs)

  • This paper addresses a Moving Target Indication (MTI) algorithm which can be used for small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) equipped with image sensors. MTI is a system (or an algorithm) which detects moving objects. The principle of the MTI algorithm is to analyze the difference between successive image data. It is difficult to detect moving objects in the images recorded from dynamic cameras attached to moving platforms such as UAVs flying at low altitudes over a variety of terrain, since the acquired images have two motion components: 'camera motion' and 'object motion'. Therefore, the motion of independent objects can be obtained after the camera motion is compensated thoroughly via proper manipulations. In this study, the camera motion effects are removed by using wiener filter-based image registration, one of the non-parametric methods. In addition, an image pyramid structure is adopted to reduce the computational complexity for UAVs. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method with experimental results on outdoor video sequences.

  • CCTV network has been implemented to transmit the image information of platform, ticket gate and transfer section to local headquarters in the KNR(Korean National Railroad). But, communication system for transferring image information around accident field or wayside has not been established ret. thus, at Present implementation of communication equipment is necessary for dynamic image of unspecified accident to be transmitted to headquarters. Copper cable communication network is run by KNR, but it is processing installation of optical cable in connection with the implemental plan for high-speed network from now on. And, the capacity of communication channel will be guaranteed much more than now between station and station. station and central headquarters when optical cable is completed. This study analyzes the image equipment of field for transmission and estimated matters to transmit image information of accident field to headquarters with using communication infrastructure. And, the study considers implemental method of communication network for long-distance image transmission from dozens to hundreds kilometers.

웨이블릿변환과 신경회로를 이용한 동영상의 실시간 전송 (Transmission of Moving Image on the Internet Using Wavelet Transform and Neural Network)

  • In this Paper we discuss an algorithm for a real-time transmission of moving color image on the TCP/IP network using wavelet transform and neural network. The Image frames received from the camera are two-level wavelet-transformed in the server, and are transmitted to the client on the network. Then, the client performs the inverse wavelet-transform using only the received pieces of each image frame within the prescribed time limit to display the moving images. When the TCP/IP network is busy, only a fraction of each image frame will be delivered. When the line is free, the whole frame of each image will be transferred to the client. The receiver warns the sender of the condition of traffic congestion in the network by sending a special short frame for this specific purpose. The sender can respond to this information of warning by simply reducing the data rate which is adjusted with a neural network or fuzzy logic. In this way we can send a stream of moving images adaptively adjusting to the network traffic condition.

PCB 조립검사기의 자동티칭을 위한 부품윈도우 자동추출 방법 (Automatic Extraction of Component Window for Auto-Teaching of PCB Assembly Inspection Machines)

  • We propose an image segmentation method for auto-teaching system of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly inspection machines. The inspection machine acquires images of all components in PCB, and then compares each image with its standard image to find the assembly errors such as misalignment, inverse polarity, and tombstone. The component window that is the area of component to be acquired by camera, is one of the teaching data for operating the inspection machines. To reduce the teaching time of the machine, we newly develop the image processing method to extract the component window automatically from the image of PCB. The proposed method segments the component window by excluding the soldering parts as well as board background. We binarize the input image by use of HSI color model because it is difficult to discriminate the RGB colors between components and backgrounds. The linear combination of the binarized images then enhances the component window from the background. By use of the horizontal and vertical projection of histogram, we finally obtain the component widow. The experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed method.

레이저 슬릿 빔의 경사각과 카메라 자세 추정 알고리듬을 이용한 벽면결함 길이측정 (Defects Length Measurement Using an Estimation Agorithm of the Camera Orientation and an Inclination Angle of a Laser Slit Beam)

  • A method of measuring the length of defects on the wall and restructuring the defect image is proposed based on the estimation algorithm of a camera orientation, which uses the declination angle of a laser slit beam. The estimation algorithm of the horizontally inclined angle of CCD camera adopts a 3-dimensional coordinate transformation of the image plane where both the laser beam and the original image of the defects exist. The estimation equation is obtained by using the information of the beam projected on the wall and the parameters of this equation are experimentally obtained. With this algorithm, the original image of the defect can be reconstructed as an image normal to the wall. From the result of a series of experiments, the measuring accuracy of the defect is measured within 0.5% error bound of real defect size under 30 degree of the horizontally inclined angle. The proposed algorithm provides the method of reconstructing the image taken at any arbitrary horizontally inclined angle as the image normal as the wall and thus, it enables the accurate measurement of the defect lengths by using a single camera and a laser slit beam.
