Objective : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective methods of treatment for tinnitus. Methods : We inquired about 33 cases of tinnitus patients visited the Ik-san Oriental Medical Hospital of Wonkwang University from March 1, 2008 to May 30, 2009. We examined the 33 cases in the view of sex, age, occupation, duration, number of visits, cause, associating symptoms, quality of tinnitus, frequency of acupuncture and herbal medicine, and recovery rate after treatment. Results and Conclusions : In 21 cases of tinnitus patients among the 33 cases, it was improved. Total recovery rate was 63.6%. This case study presents clinical possibility of acupuncture and herbal medicine and moxa for the treatment of tinnitus.

A series of titanium complexes containing terdentate β-ketoiminate ligands were found to be efficient for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone (ε-CL), producing poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) with bimodal distribution. Steric factors imposed by methyl substituents on the back bone of the alkoxy group affected significantly the polymerization rate and physical properties of the resulting PCL. Intra- and intermolecular transesterifications rather than disproportional rearrangements were responsible for the bimodal behavior and for the change in the molecular weight (Mw). Dilution with toluene reduced yield, and lowered polydispersity (PDI) and Mw of PCL, while the catalytic activities of the dimeric complex, [Ti(Oi-Pr)2(N-alkoxy-β- ketoiminate)]2 and Ti(Oi-Pr)4 were not sensitive to the added solvent. The dimeric complex showed living character, while other catalysts suffered from chain termination reactions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate food habits and food preference of 108 male and 123 female college students through questionnaires. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. Average height of male and female students were 171.8cm, 160.2cm and the average body weight of those were 64.4kg, 51.4kg, respectively. 2. Average PIBW of male and female students were 99.8, 95.3 and average BMI were 21.8, 20.1, respectively. 3. 25 percent of male and 17.1% of female subjects skipped breakfast almost everyday. 4. BMI of those who likes sweet taste was higher than other groups. 5. korean food was favored by college students and the preference of korean food was higher in male than female. 6. In staple foods, cooked rice was preferred most by the subjects, male liked cooked rice more than female. in side-dishes, Pork and beef dish were preferred most in male and Kimchi stew was preferred most in female. in snacks, fruits and bread were preferred most by the subjects.

이 논문에서는 MPEG-4 SVC 신호를 DVB-S2 전송시스템에 적용하여 Ka대역 위성방송서비스를 제공하는 전송방안에 대한 연구를 하였다. SVC신호는 계층 수를 2개로 제한하였으며, 이러한 다계층 신호를 DVB-S2 전송시스템에 적용하기 위하여, 성상도상에서 각 계층의 신호를 동기적으로 합치는 Hierarchical 변조방식과 각 계층의 전송스트림을 RF 주파수 상에서 비동기적으로 합치는 방식인 Layered 변조방식을 사용하였다. 각 전송방안에서 변조방식과 채널 부호율을 결합 소스/채널 부호화 방안에 따라 변화시켜 최적의 전송기법을 도출하였다.

85명의 유방암 환자를 대상으로 이들의 유방영상을 검토하고 유방암 환자들의 특징을 살펴보고자 한 본 논문에서 유방암 환자들의 평균나이는 51.9세이었고, 유방암이 가장 많이 발생하는 부위는 상외측(43.5%)인 것으로 조사되었으며, 유방암이 가장 많이 발생하는 연령은 40대 인 것으로 조사되었다. 유방암 환자들의 유방조직밀도는 69.4%가 dense breast이었고, 30.6%가 fatty breast인 것으로 조사되었으며, 이 두 그룹의 평균연령은 dense breast를 가진 그룹이 유의하게 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 유방영상의 위음성률은 27.1%, 민감도는 72.9%로 조사되었고, dense breast를 가진 환자들의 유방영상 위음성률은 32.2%, 민감도는 67.8%로 조사되었다.

A causal agent of bacterial soft rot occurring in soybean sprout cultivation in Korea was isolated and identified, and its incidence in several sprout-soybean cultivars was examined. Infected soybean seeds became light brown and whitish, and could not germinate until 3 days after seeding, accompanying rotting of soybean seeds and sprouts. The causal organism isolated from the rotten seeds and sprouts was identified as Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora on the basis of its pathogenicity, morphological and physiological characteristics and the results of the Biolog GN microplate test program. The bacterial soft rot by E. c. subsp. carotovora was firstly described in soybean sprout in Korea, and we name it“the bacterial soft rot of soybean sprout”. The disease occurred more frequently in Nam-hae and Fu-reun sprout-soybean cultivars than in Eun-ha, So-baek, and Ik-san cultivars.

Background and Objective : Allergic purpura is a generalized vasculitis characterized by cutaneous purpura, art hritis, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding and nephritis. However, the pathophysiology of the Allergic purpura remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is few reports on Allergic purpura treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods : We conducted two patients with Allergic purpura seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital. We treated Allergic purpura by a herbal medicine, acupunture, etc. Conclusions : We suggest that the oriental medical treatment and management have an effect with Allergic purpura which means Podoyug in Oriental medicine.

본 연구는 GIS 변전소 내 Dead Bus의 잔류전압 평가에 관한 것이다. 차단기 개방시 발생된 잔류전압이 철공진 현상에 의한 것임을 증명하고 원활한 CB의 재투입을 위해 사선모선의 전압조건 설정시 공진 과전압을 고려하여 재설정 하였다. 철공진 현상을 모의하기 위해 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용하여 적절한 PT 모델링 방안을 제시하였고 이를 PT 철공진 측정시험결과와 비교 검증하였다. 또한, 제안된 PT 모델과 다양한 GIS 모선 운영에 따른 계통회로를 구성하여 사선모선의 잔류전압을 계산하였다.

In this study, for the use of LFG, the burning velocities of LFG and LFG mixed fuels have been numerically analyzed. C3 reaction mechanism which consists of 92 species and 621 reaction was adopted in the calculation. The results show that the burning velocities of LFG and LFG mixed fuels are obtained as a function of $CH_4$ and LFG percentage at stoichiometric conditions. In addition, the correlations of burning velocities LFG and LFG mixed fuels were obtained over a wide range of the equivalence ratio. The comparison of burning velocity correlated from numerically calculated results with experimental ones shows good agreements. From these results, the suggested burning velocity correlations far LFG and LFG mixed fuels in this study can be applied to the practical utilization of LFG.

멸종위기에 처한 한국 고유종인 미꾸리과(Cobitidae) 소형어류 좀수수치, Kichulchoia brevifasciata의 핵형을 분석하였다. 전라남도 고흥군 금산면에서 6개체를 채집하여 핵형분석 결과 염색체 수는 2n=48 으로서 16 meta-submetacentric, 32 subtelo-telocentric chromosomes로 구성되어 있었으며 FN=64 이었고 유연관계에 있는 수수미꾸리, Niwaella multifasciata와 핵형과 구성에 있어 큰 차이를 나타냈다.
