A study on the optimal generating capacity of renewable energy (신재생에너지원의 최적용량에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a method of finding the optimal capacity of renewable energy in power system to prepare Kyoto-protocol. In order to determine the capacity of renewable energy, this paper finds a amount of CO2 emission and capacity of power reduction for each energy type. The proposed method performs economic dispatch including the existing facilities, renewable energy and Emission trading, and finds optimal capacity of renewable energy Power satisfying minimum total cost. Finally, the proposed idea is demonstrated with a case study.

A Study on Ik-mo Lee's Yeonhaengrok (이익모의 병진연행록에 관한 연구)

  • Yeonhaengrok is a document recorded by one member of the envoy sent to the China from 17 to 19 century. Ik-mo Lee, a member of the envoy, wrote a full explanation of the visit from Nov. 24 1796 to Mar. 7 1797 in his writing $\ulcorner$Byongjin Yeonhaengrok${\lrcorner}$. $\ulcorner$Byongjin Yeonhaengrok${\lrcorner}$, which is omitted in the complete collection of $\ulcorner$Yeonhaengrok${\lrcorner}$, has been newly found at the Family of Suwon Baek's house locating at the Sanggum Vil., Yongsan Town, Jangheung County of Chonnam Province. $\ulcorner$Byongjin Yeonhaengrok${\lrcorner}$ contains an historical meaning that it is an official record of the official envoy that was sent first after the Injong's enthronement in China. This study observed the bibliographical features of $\ulcorner$Byongjin Yeonhaengrok${\lrcorner}$, the time of the transcription, the progress of receiving by the Suwon Baek family. And certified the details of the Byongjin envoy, going and returning between Hanyang and Beijing, staying schedules of the envoy in Beijing.

  • Fatigue crack growth behaviors of Cr-Mo steels developed recently for thick-wall pressure vessel were investigated. Experiments in accordance with ASTM E647 standard were performed for 1/2 inch CT specimens of $2^(1/4)$Cr-1Mo and 3Cr-IMo steels in gaseous environments, hydrogen gas of 10 atm, 1 atm and argon gas of 1 atm. Fatigue crack growth rates were observed and effects of gaseous hydrogen and argon on the crack growth behavior were discussed.

  • The chlorine addition and Diels-Alder cycloaddition of cyclopentadiene to 1, 4-benzoquinone-4-(O-methyloxime) have been studied MO theoretically. It has been shown that the reactions occur predominantly to the quinone ring double bond which is oriented anti to the nitrogen lone pair due to an n-${\sigma}^*$ interaction between the nitrogen lone pair, n, and the app. vicinal bond, causing the ${\pi}$ bond to be weakened and destabilized due to the less conjugation from reduced delocalization.

  • We successfully developed a-Si TFT controlled active matrix cathode (AMC) with gated Mo emitters. Also, we could remove emitter failures of the AMC through a novel surface treatment of Mo-tips, which indicates reduction of $MoO_3$ or chemical wet etching of $MoO_3$ by surface treatment. Transient behaviors of the AMC are strongly dependent on not only DC characteristics of device but also the device structure. Brightness and gray scale were well realized by low-voltage scan and data signals addressed to a-Si TFTs.

  • The intrinsic reactivity of $S_N2$reaction in the gas phase was discussed MO theoretically (CNDO/2). We investigated the changes in geometry and electronic structure by means of the partial geometry optimization for reactantes, transition states, and products with various nucleophiles and leaving groups. We found that it was possible to discuss qualitatively the reactivity of $S_N2$ reaction with CNDO/2 MO calculation and the reactivity was controlled by basicity and of induced polarizability.
