  • The foundation for the theoretical establishment of the linear motor lies in the investigation of the magnetic flux distribution in its airgaps. Generally speaking, the linear motor is similar, in the principle of its operation, to the general induction motor. However, there are great differences in the aspects of its structure and characteristics, especially, in the fact that the formation of its travelling magnetic field depends on the method of its winding. This paper is written in order to introduce the method of calculating the air gap magnetic flux distribution on the basis of its ampere-conductor in the case that 2 phase winding is applied on its open magnetic circuit iron core, and to present the results of investigation of the pulsation in its travelling fields. the first and second example of winding show the case of travelling magnetic field with the constant amplitude except the end region. The third example deals with the configuration of coil-side displaced outside the core and which produce the increased flux density at the ends, but, on the contrary, forms the pulsated travelling field.

  • Dexmedetomidine is a highly selective ${\alpha}2$-adrenoceptor agonist with a vast array of properties, making it suitable for sedation in numerous clinical scenarios. Its use was previously restricted to the sedation of intensive care unit patients. However, its use in pediatric dental sedation has been gaining momentum, owing to its high suitability when compared with conventional pediatric sedatives. Its properties range from sedation to anxiolysis to analgesia, due to its sympatholytic properties and minimal respiratory depression ability. Because dexmedetomidine is an efficacious and safe drug, it is gaining importance in pediatric sedation. Thus, the aim of this review is to highlight the properties of dexmedetomidine, its administration routes, its advantages over the commonly used pediatric sedatives, and especially its role as an alternative pediatric sedative.

  • In this study the measures and methodology to evaluate the operational efficiency of ITS systems were developed. And they were applied for the ITS systems deployed in the ITS Model Cities in order to figure out their applicability for the operational efficiency evaluation of similar ITS systems which would be deployed in the future.

  • The genetic relationships in 5 species of $Ligularia$ were investigated using RAPD (Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA) and ITS (Internal Transcribed Spacer) sequences analyses. In RAPD analysis, sixty three of 196 arbitrary primers showed polymorphism. The amplified fragments ranged from 0.2 to 1.6 kb in size. The dendrogram was constructed by the UPGMA clustering algorithm based on genetic similarity of RAPD markers. A total of 16 accessions were classified into 5 major groups corresponding each species at the similarity coefficient value of 0.77. In the ITS sequence analysis, the size of ITS 1 was varied from 248 to 256 bp, while ITS 2 was varied from 220 to 222 bp. The 5.8S coding region was 164 bp in lengths. Forty nine sites (10.2%) of the 478 nucleotides were variable, and the G+C content of ITS region ranged from 49.4 to 53.5%. In the ITS tree, five species of $Ligularia$ were monophyletic, and $L.$ $taquetii$ was the first branching within the clade. $Ligularia$ $intermedia$ formed a clade with $L.$ $fischeri$ var. $spiciformis$ (BS=79), and $L.$ $stenocephala$ and $L.$ $fischeri$ were also claded. Two data sets were congruent, except of the position of $L.$ $fischeri$ var. $spiciformis$.

  • Space launch vehicles are designed to fly according to the elaborate pre-determined path. However, if a vehicle went out of the planned trajectory or its thrust terminated abnormally, or if a free-fall atmospheric reentry vehicle tracked by a tracking sensor became impossible to be measured, it is required to attempt to track by a another track equipment or estimate its impact point rapidly. In this paper a new algorithm is proposed, named the ITS-EKF combined with the Integrated Track Splitting (ITS) algorithm and the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) to obtain the location information of a ballistic projectile without thrust, create its track and maintain it in an environment with clutter. For the reentry vehicle, the track performance is to be verified and the impact point is estimated by applying the simulation through ITS-EKF algorithm. To ensure the proposed algorithm's adequacy, by comparing the track performance and impact point distribution by the ITS-EKF with those of ITS-PF combined with ITS and Particle Filter (PF), it is confirmed that the ITS-EKF algorithm can be used an effective real-time On-line impact point prediction.

  • Zoysiagrasses are important turf plants used for school playgrounds, parks, golf courses, and sports fields. The two most popular zoysiagrass species are Zoysia japonica and Zoysia sinica. These are widely distributed across different growing zones and are morphologically distinguishable from each other; however, it is phenotypically difficult to differentiate those that grow along the coastal line from those in beach area habitats. A combination of morphological and molecular approaches is desirable to efficiently identify these two plant cultivars. In this study, we used a rapid identification system based on DNA barcoding of the nrDNA-internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions. The nrDNA-ITS regions of ITS1, 5.8S nrDNA, and ITS2 from Z. japonica, Z. sinica, Agrostis stolonifera, and Poa pratensis were DNA barcoded to classify these grasses according to their molecular identities. The nrDNA-ITS sequences of these species were found at 686 bp, 687 bp, 683 bp, and 681 bp, respectively. The size of ITS1 ranged from 248 to 249 bp, while ITS2 ranged from 270 to 274 bp. The 5.8S coding region ranged from 163 - 164bp. Between Z. japonica and Z. sinica, nineteen (2.8%) nucleotide sites were variable, and the G+C content of the ITS region ranged from 55.4 to 63.3%. Substitutions and insert/deletion (indel) sites in the nrDNA-ITS sequence of Z. japonica and Z. sinica were converted to cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence (CAPS) markers, and applied to the Zoysia grasses sampled to verify the presence of these markers. Among the 62 control and collected grass samples, we classified three groups: 36 Z. japonica, 22 Z. sinica, and 4 Z. japonica/Z. sinica hybrids. Morphological classification revealed only two groups; Z. japonica and Z. sinica. Our results suggest that used of the nrDNA-ITS barcode region and CAPS markers can be used to distinguish between Z. japonica and Z. sinica at the species level.
