A study of the information technology satisfaction in a small business. (소기업에서 IT 사용 만족도에 대한 연구)

  • In this study we tried to measure the user satisfaction with IT in small firms. Though the number of small firms is not negligible, most studies on the IT satisfaction focused on medium and large-sized firms. Using Palvia's model in 1999 we measured If satisfaction of the employee in small firms in the manufacturing and telecommunication industry. We included seven constructs such as S/W pertinence, information content and accuracy, information format, system usefulness, system continuance, and system support to measure IT satisfaction. The result suggests that the If users in small firms are generally dissatisfied with the information technology and the areas of deep dissatisfaction are system usefulness and system support. Type of business, the gender and education of the users are found to affect the level of satisfaction.

  • In the construction industry, IT based information system has been diversely applied to increase productivity. Although IT device such as PDA, RFID, Barcode, wireless network and web camera has been introduced to gather information in construction site, the effect of the IT device is limited, because of bringing about additional works of engineer. In this paper, we proposed a defect management system which is based on handwritten document digitalization framework for introducing applicability of new IT device, digital pen. By the proposed system, we can effectively gather and input defect information to defect management system by using digital pen and paper like conventional way. Applying the data gathering device, digital pen to defect management, it is able to increase productivity by improving work process, building up and utilizing defect information database of good quality.

  • 최근 들어 데이터, 음성 위주의 통신 산업과 영상중심의 방송 산업이 빠르게 융합되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IP 기반의 멀티미디어 스트리밍 전송이 가능하도록 네트워크 대역폭의 사용을 최소화하여 특정 채널에 대한 멀티미디어 서비스뿐만 아니라 여러 채널을 동시에 사용자가 서비스 받을 수 있도록 멀티 접근 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 네트워크의 지연을 흡수 할 수 있는 버퍼링 기법, 안정적인 채널 대역폭 할당 및 유지를 위한 객체 모델을 설계 하고자 한다.

Distribution Network Switching Automation Using Active Web Based Management

  • Electric utility companies have the responsibility of providing good electricity for their customers. They have introduced the DAS(Distribution Automation System) to automate the power distribution networks. DAS engineers require state-of-the-art applications, such as a way to actively manage the distribution system and gain economic benefits from a flexible DAS architectural design. The existing DAS is not capable of handling these needs. It requires operator intervention whenever feeder overloading is detected while operator error could cause the feeder overload area to be extended. It also utilizes a closed architecture and it is therefore difficult to meet the system migration and future enhancement requirements. This paper represents a web based, platform-independent, flexible DAS architectural design and active database application. Recent advanced Internet technologies are fully utilized in this new DAS architecture allowing it to meet the system migration and future enhancement requirements. By using an active database, the DAS can minimize the feeder overloading area in the distribution system without operator intervention, thereby minimizing mistakes due to operator error.

  • AGV is very proper equipment for Port Automation. AGV must have Obstacle Detection System(ODS) for port automation. Obstacle Detection System must have some functions. It must be able to classify some specified object from background data. And it must be able to track classified objects. Finally, ODS must determine its next action for safe cruise whether it must do emergency stop or it must speed down or it must change its track. For these functions, ODS can have many different structures. In this paper, we will propose one structure among some possible ones. Our ODS has been being developed using proposed structure since last year. In this paper, we will introduce our system which is under construction.

Internet based job competency development system for small IT business

  • This paper designed and developed internet based competency developing system for small IT (Information & Technology) companies. The purpose of this system was to provide career development opportunities to small IT business workers for their longstanding employment and self-improvement job skills. This study analyzed job competencies based on job descriptions from two IT companies. The survey was conducted to analyze employees' self-assessed current job competency level and effective ways of improving their current level of competencies. From the results of survey, most of subjects indicated their job competencies were in between mid-level to low level, and they required the need of training programs to improve their job knowledge and experience. Based on the interview from field experts about job competency development, this study designed and developed the internet based competency development system to provide effective and efficient way of improving job competencies and needed training programs for small IT business employees.

  • 본 논문에서는 중소형 전동차에 활용하기 위한 DC모터 구동회로를 설계하였다. 설계된 구동 회로를 활용하여 자체발진회로의 스위칭 신호를 갖는 트랜스포머를 이용하여 연속적으로 구동할 수 있다. 또한 DC 모터 최대속도 동작시, 제어회로의 기준전압 값을 삼각파보다 높게 유지할 수 있고 모터 구동 FET를 항상 온 값을 가지도록 하여 최대출력을 얻을 수 있도록 해준다. 설계된 구동회로를 장착한 250W급 DC모터속도 컨트롤러를 활용하여 소형전동차 구동시험을 실시한 결과, DC모터의 전진 및 후진 속도를 연속 가변 할 수 있음을 확인하고 그 특성을 검증하였다.

Control of a cart system using genetic algorithm

  • So far many researches have studied to control a cart system with a pole on the top of itself (forwards we call it simply a cart system) which is movable only to the directions to which a cart moves, using neural networks and genetic algorithms. Especially which it wag solved by genetic algorithms, it was possible to control a cart system more robustly than ordinary methods using neural networks but it had problems too, i.e., the control time to be achieved was short and the processing time for it was long. However we could control a cart system using standard genetic algorithm longer than ordinary neural network methods (for example error backpropagation) and could see that robust control was possible. Computer simulation was performed through the personal computer and the results showed the possibility of real time control because the cpu time which was occupied by processes was relatively short.

  • 본 논문에서는 VDTA를 이용하여 플로팅 인덕터를 구현하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 [3]에서 사용하고 있는 방법을 개선하여 더 적은 수의 회로를 이용하여 양 기능 인덕터를 구현함으로써 변환방법이 용이하고 회로의 면적과 소비전력을 줄일 수 있는 방법이다. 2장에서는 VDTA에 대한 기본적인 개념과 새로운 양기능 인덕터의 구조제안 및 새롭게 제안한 능동 인덕터를 이용하여 2차 2MHz의 중간주파수를 갖는 대역통과 설계하고 그 유용성을 확인하였다. 2MHz의 중심주파수를 가지는 대역통과 필터와 그 필터의 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 나타내었다. 그리고 3장에서 결론지었다.

  • System usage, the utilization of information technology(IT) by individuals, groups or organizations, is a core variable in IS research. Indeed, there is widespread agreement among researchers that system usage is the primary variable through which IT affects white collar performance because it is a requisite, albeit insufficient, for deriving the benefits of IT. Furthermore, system usage has a notable practical value for managers interested in evaluating the impact of IT. Despite the number of studies of targeted at explaining system usage, there are more areas which required for the verification of system usage. The purpose of this paper is to address, using the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM), the usage pattern of AHP toward the various task in group decision (GD). The result showed that, for the all of the task types, perceived usage (PU) has more effect than perceived ease-of-use(PEU) on the AHP usage. However, more researches are required to generalize the result of this study.
