  • There has been a gradual increase in distribution of counterfeit products and resulting damage cases from companies and consumers. It examines which antecedent variables have significant effects on consumer perceived satisfaction or regret. To test the related hypotheses, such antecedent variables as the utilitarian value, the hedonic value, legal regulations, and ethical mentality of consumers were examined and also did whether these factors have differences between Korean and Chinese consumers. Findings from the empirical analysis are as follows. First, Korean and Chinese consumers' perceived utilitarian value and hedonic value in counterfeit products in contrast to original products are found to have a positive influence on consumer perceived satisfaction with counterfeits while they have a negative influence on consumer perceived regret with counterfeits. Second, in the case of Korean consumers, the hypothesis that legal regulations on counterfeit products will influence the degree of regret with counterfeit products has been rejected. And it is found that the more ethical Korean consumers are, the more regretful for their post purchase they feel. Third, in the case of Chinese consumers, the hypothesis that legal regulations and ethical on counterfeit products will influence the degree of regret with counterfeit products has been rejected. Therefore, it can be said that the results in this paper provide significant implications for government policy, legal regulation and enforcement, and some need for a change in consumer consciousness and attitude as well as for marketing strategies of Korean and Chinese famous brand manufacturing companies.

  • Restructured meat (RM) products are gaining importance as an essential component of the meat industry due to consumers' interest in health benefits. RM products imply the binding or holding of meat, meat by-products, and vegetable proteins together to form a meat product with meat's sensory and textural properties. RM products provide consumers with diversified preferences like the intake of low salt, low fat, antioxidants, and high dietary fiber in meat products. From the point of environmental sustainability, RM may aid in combining underutilized products and low-valued meat by adequately utilizing them instead of dumping them as waste material. RM processing technique might also help develop diversified and new hybrid meat products. It is crucial to have more knowledge on the quality issues, selection of binding agents, their optimum proportion, and finally, the ideal processing techniques. It is observed in this study that the most crucial feature of RM could be its healthy products with reduced fat content, which aligns with the preferences of health-conscious consumers who seek low-fat, low-salt, high-fiber options with minimal synthetic additives. This review briefly overviews RM and the factors affecting the quality and shelf life. Moreover, it discusses the recent studies on binding agents in processing RM products. Nonetheless, the recent advancements in processing and market scenarios have been summarized to better understand future research needs. The purpose of this review was to bring light to the ways of sustainable and economical food production.

It is necessary to examine regular inspection for the persistent maintenance of HACCP system. If environmental changes and improvement of manufacture facilities by expansion of new system in factory turn shift into HACCP plan, then, it is persistently accomplished the supplementation of deficiency for new hazard analysis through the periodical inspection. So far, HACCP system is mainly applied in dairy plants. If farms producing milk directly set up a sanitary plan, it can also practice sanitary control from farm to table in our country. • Medicinal plants and their products are popular in Estonia. There are two approaches to use of herbal products: first, that based on traditions and practical experience and, second, that supported by scientific evidence. It is important to marry these two approaches. One place where traditions and new knowledge could meet is the pharmacy. In this study we evaluated knowledge about the use and safety of herbal products of pharmacy customers in South-Estonia. A convenience sample of pharmacy customers in south Estonia (n = 196) participated in the study. Of the survey participants, 76% were frequent or occasional users of herbal products and considered these products safe (75%) and effective (73%). Herbal products were mostly (91%) consumed for prophylaxis or treatment of minor illnesses. Main information sources about herbal products were pharmacists (75%) and package information leaflets (65%). Mode of action (95%), administration (81%) and indication (77%) were the information details more frequently sought from the pharmacy about herbal products. Of the survey participants, 22% described some problems connected with the use of herbal products. Herbal products are popular in Estonia and pharmacists have an important role in counselling on these products. Despite knowledgeable use of herbal products and infrequent experience of side effects with these products, safety issues should be more stressed in the providing of information details to pharmacy customers.
