  • Java card is one of promising smart card platform with java technology. Java card defines necessary packages and classes for Embedded device that have small memory such as smart card Jana card is compatible with EMV that is Industry specification standard and ISO-7816 that is international standard. However, Java card is not offers user authentication protocol. In this paper, We design and implement an user authentication protocol applicable wireless devices based on Java Card using standard 3GPP Specification (SMS), Java Card Specification (APDU), Cryptography and so on. Our Java Card user authentication techniques can possibly be applied to the area of M-Commerce, Wireless Security, E-Payment System, Mobile Internet, Global Position Service, Ubiquitous Computing and so on.

  • We medical software is becoming important means to secure competitive power of medical service by explosive increase of medical device based on software, and the quality of medical service is affected to quality of medical software as well as medical devices. But domestic related study and development is not sufficient for quality of medical software, and a falling-off in medical software quality can induce a falling-off in quality of medical service. Therefore, it is necessary to raise qualitative level of medical service by progress and quality improvement of medical devices. Therefore, in this paper, we developed test module and qualify inspection table which can test medical software and produce result based on ISO/1EC 12119.

  • The concern and request of high-quality software has been increased according to the rapid transition of society to information-oriented era. Therefore activities of software quality management are regarded as serious as the activities of software development. Moreover, stakeholder of software may have various views of software quality. And some quality characteristics need to be managed with priorities in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Hence we recognized that weights of quality characteristics might be useful to improve efficiency of quality management activities. However, this topic has not actively issued because its necessity and effectiveness has been ignored. This paper presents a technique to decide weights of software quality characteristics in SDLC. It is based on ISO/IEC 9126 which is the standard for software product quality. It is accomplished by questionnaires intended for stakeholder in software development and weight analysis through AHP (Analytic Hierarchical Process) method. Accordingly, it can select quality characteristics by weight in SDLC. And then it helps us to acquire high duality software through measuring software quality quantitatively and expecting the quality after completion of software development.

A Study on a Logical Quality Evaluation Model based on Application Open Source Software Characteristics (응용 오픈소스 소프트웨어 특징에 적합한 논리적 품질평가 모델에 관한 연구)

  • Open Source Software has over 60 percent of application software development but previous studies of objective quality model and characteristic to utilize Open Source Software appeared to be low and there are few studies regarding quantitative evaluation methods to evaluate Open Source Software. To solve these problems, in this paper, we propose a quality evaluation model, "Logical Open Source Software quality model", which is able to utilize for developing and maintaining application software and quantitative quality evaluation method that can utilize in the proposed model. The proposed Open Source Software quality model derives quality characteristics based on literature and it forms six main-features and twelve sub-characteristics by comparing with the quality characteristic of ISO/IEC 9126 and twelve evaluation metrics that can measure the metrics and the characteristics quantitatively. To verify efficiency of the proposed quality evaluation model, we apply the proposed quality evaluation to top 5 project management system (PMS) software in open source software community and prove its availability.

  • 최근, 기업 및 사용자들은 클라우드 서비스의 필요성에 대한 인식이 확산되고 있다. 반면에 클라우드 보안 기술에 대한 관심의 부재는 클라우드 서비스를 도입하는데 어려움으로 작용하고 있다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 기존의 컴퓨터 네트워크 환경과 다르게 서버 가상화, 네트워크 가상화, 스토리지 가상화와 같은 부분들이 가상화되어 서비스 및 자원을 공유하여 활용한다. 따라서 가상화 기반 취약점이 발생할 수 있으며 기존 보안장비의 한계점으로 인한 새로운 보안위협이 발생하고 있다. 특히, 방대한 양의 데이터를 클라우드 컴퓨팅 중 하나인 클라우드 스토리지를 통해 저장을 하게 되고 이러한 데이터를 겨냥한 공격이 이루어질 경우, 데이터 손실 및 유출 등 심각한 위험이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 스토리지 환경에서 문제점들에 대한 대응을 위해 ISO/IEC에서 제시한 스토리지 보안위협과 ITU-T, ENISA, CSA에서 제시한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 보안위협을 이용하여 클라우드 스토리지 관련 보안위협 유형 분석을 수행하고 이에 대응하는 보안 아키텍처를 설계하며 이에 대한 안전성 분석을 수행한다.

  • URC robot offers necessary service anytime and anywhere by using a network to the robot, expanding the applicable service, keeping all the functions in itself, it undertakes functions for the causing problems through the network. URC software components are composed of HRI(Human Robot Interaction), robot action technology and others. We analyze the quality models based on ISO/IEC 9126, define URC components evaluation specification consists of 4 parts such as generic rule, instance rule, evaluation value and test method. And we define the quality process and test case design for URC, and show a testing and evaluation process for URC components.

  • For the implementation of a RFID system, an anti-collision algorithm is required to identify multiple tags within the range of a RFID Reader. There are two methods of anti-collision algorithms for the identification of multiple tags, conclusive algorithms based on tree and stochastic algorithms based on slotted ALOHA. In this paper, we propose a Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA-Slot Congestion(DFSA-SC) Algorithm. The proposed algorithm improves the efficiency of collision resolution. The performance of the proposed DFSA-SC algorithm is showed by simulation. The identification time of the proposed algorithm is shorter than that of the existing DFSA algorithm. Furthermore, when the bit duplication of the tagID is higher, the proposed algorithm is more efficient than Query Tree algorithm.

Performance Comparison of HEVC and H.264/AVC Standards in Broadcasting Environments

  • High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the most recent video codec standard of the ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group and the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group. The main goal of this newly introduced standard is for catering to high-resolution video in low bandwidth environments with a higher compression ratio. This paper provides a performance comparison between HEVC and H.264/AVC video compression standards in terms of objective quality, delay, and complexity in the broadcasting environment. The experimental investigation was carried out using six test sequences in the random access configuration of the HEVC test model (HM), the HEVC reference software. This was also carried out in similar configuration settings of the Joint Scalable Video Module (JSVM), the official scalable H.264/AVC reference implementation, running on a single layer mode. According to the results obtained, the HM achieves more than double the compression ratio compared to that of JSVM and delivers the same video quality at half the bitrate. Yet, the HM encodes two times slower (at most) than JSVM. Hence, it can be concluded that the application scenarios of HM and JSVM should be judiciously selected considering the availability of system resources. For instance, HM is not suitable for low delay applications, but it can be used effectively in low bandwidth environments.

  • Because of rapid increase of internet user, numerous popular web sites have been made on the internet but it is hard to find out a systematic technique for the selection of qualified web site in consumer position. Generally, there are black box, white box and gray box viewpoint for evaluating web site. In this paper present evaluation criteria based on AHP(Analysis Hierarchy Process) technique of black box viewpoint for optimal web site selection in consumer position. We considered usability, efficiency, compatibility based on ISO/IEC 9126 for quality measurement of web site and executed practical analysis about web site in internet. This paper show that the proposed selection technique is applicable to optimal web site selection.

  • Paperless 회의 및 행정에 대한 요구가 제기되면서 ISO 14001과 같은 표준들의 제안과 함께 이 요구에 대한 많은 연구와 구현이 제안되고 있다. 최근에는 다양한 플랫폼의 스마트 기기들의 보급이 확산됨에 따라 이 기기들의 플랫폼에 맞는 전자문서서식시스템의 요구도 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제시된 여러 연구들의 효율성 검토 결과를 기반으로 사용자 중심의 전자문서 공유 및 관리 기능을 제공하는 미들웨어의 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 미들웨어는 Content Adaptation, 즉 File Format 및 Size Converting, 스마트기기내에서의 전자서식문서 보안 처리기능, 데이터 관리기능을 포함하는 PDF Viewer를 제공하며 최근 표준화 적용이 진행 중인 HTML5를 기반으로 하여 호환성과 적용성을 높였다. 제안된 구조와 구현방식에 대한 검증을 위해 구현 사례를 본 논문에서 제시하였다.
