At the initial deployment of B-ISDN, the heterogeneity of services and the bandwidth requirement make dimensioning of B-ISDN much more complicated than the dimensioning of homogeneous circuit or packet switched networks. Therefore B-ISDN must be extended gradually according to future telecommunication technology or service demands. In this paper, we propose a mathematical formulation for dimensioning problem of B-ISDN extension, considering the characteristics of ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) such as various quality of services, the statistical multiplexing effects of VPCs(Virtual Path Connections) and the modularity of transmission links allocated when new B-ISDN nodes are given. The algorithm based on the simultaneous linear approximation technique and Lagrangian relaxation method and some numerical results are also presented.

일반적으로 ISDN의 망구조는 4가지의 주요원칙에 의거 형성되며 발전된다고 볼 수 있다. .데이터 정보와 콘트롤 정보간의 분리 .Basic 및 advanced 서비스의 효율적인 적용 .가입자와 망간의 상호독립성 유지 .망의 계층적 구조 그러고 ISDN은 정보통화로 네트워크, 콘트롤 네트워크 및 서비스 네트워크로 구성되며 이들의 효율적인 운용으로 ISDN의 망 및 서비스기능이 설정 된다. 따라서 본 고는 이상의 사항을 구체적으로 분석하고, 그 구조모델을 검토하기 위하여 ISDN의 주요 요구사항, 기능요소, 교환구조, 기능요소들간의 통신에 관해 살펴보았다.

This paper has been studied a interworking signalling protocol between two hybrid networks by analyzing Satellite B-ISDN architecture, DSS2 Layer 3 Signalling protocol B-ISUP protocol, S-BISUP protocol stack and so on. Also in the paper, messages and primitives have been defined for B-ISDN's Connection Type, Ownership and each protocol in order to connect point-to-multipoint. And then this paper has designed basic call procedures for OBP Satellite B-ISDN NNI inter-working protocol, verified and implemented them.

End-to-end 디지틀화를 실현하는 종합정보통신망 (ISDN)의 도입으로 음성통신 서비스의 통화품질에 대한 열화요인 및 영향이 기존의 망이나 단말기와는 다른 특성을 갖게 된다. 이러한 변화는 종합정보통신망이나 ISDN 전화기의 전송품질 기준을 새롭게 규정하여야 할 필요성을 도출시킨다. 본 논문에서는 ISDN 전화기의 전송품질 기준을 규정하기 위한 품질평가의 특성들을 기술하고, 이 특성들을 평가하기 위한 음량정격 기준의 설계에 대해서 기술하였다.

본 고에서는 B-ISDN 망간 신호방식에 적용되는 사용자부 프로토콜에 대하여 기술한다. 기본적인 내용 구성은 B-ISUP(B-ISDN User Part)의 ITU-T 권고안 구성, 체계, 배경, 목적, 기능 그리고 메시지와 파라미터의 구성 및 기본호 절차로 이루어져 있다. 또한 미래 확장 가능한 기능에 대하여도 기술하며 마지막으로 간단하게 N-ISDN과의 연동시 메시지와 절차에 대해서도 기술한다.

In this thesis, the architecture and design of IWS(Inter Working System) which interconnects two different networks (PSDN: Packet Switched Data Network, PSTN:Public Switched Telephone Network) are described. IWS provides interconnection services for the compatibility of communication between two networks. IWS consists of network interface protocols, protocol conversion facilities and management facilities.

ISDN을 모르고 통신의 내일을 말한다는 것이 멋적을 정도로 ISDN만큼 오늘의 통신기술에서 뚜렷하게 부각된 milestone은 없다. 전화망의 발전은 정보량의 확대를 유발하였고 많은 정보량을 필요로 하는 대형기업체들은 고속의 circuit 또는 packet switching을 이용한 사설 network을 구성하여 이들 정보를 처리해 왔다. 그러나 digital기술의 cost down은 이들 business service를 residential service로 확장시킬수 있는 계기를 제공하여 비음성 정보 service를 voice용 기존 network에 그대로 integration하려는 노력이 ISDN이라는 이름으로 구체화되기 시작하였다. 본고에서는 ISDN의 도래와 함께 통신 서비스, network, system등이 어떻게 변천해 갈 것인지를 개관하였다.

B-ISDN은 SDH와 ATM기술을 기반으로 다양한 통신서비스(음성, 데이터, 영상 및 비디오)를 전달하기 위한 통합 정보통신망 개념이다. 이러한 B-ISDN을 효율적이고 체계적으로 통합 운용관리하고, 관리시스템들 간의 상호운용성을 보장할 수 있도록 B-ISDN 운용관리에 국제표준의 TMN 권고 개념을 도입 적용시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행중에 있다. 본 고에서는 TMN 개념을 기반으로 하는 B-ISDN 운용관리 표준화에 관해 ATM Forum 및 ITU-T를 중심으로 고찰하여 기술한다.

ISDN is network which has been developed to integrate and transfer some information(data, video, voice). In the ISDN, security problem that threat and intrusion about important information resource increase because every information is transferred in the form of digital and access of network has patiency. In this paper, for protect important information resource, studied that apply application method and encryption system to ISDN, and system structure, ITU-T Q.931 protocol were analyzed, and proposable encryption key distribution protocol, call control with hybrid encryption system for user information privacy to provide security service.
