Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the Korean medical utilization and Korean medical expenses by characteristics of multicultural family members to investigate whether it affects Korean medical utilization. Methods: This study utilized The Korea Health Panel data in 2018, with 238 final participants. We performed a t-test and ANOVA on the difference between Korean medical utilization and Korean medical expenses according to Anderson's Model of Health Service Utilization variables. Logistic regression analysis and generalized linear model analysis were conducted to analyze Korean medical utilization factors. Results: The Korean Medical utilization was 12.61% among the multicultural family members. As a result of regression analysis, the female had high Korean medical utilization(p=.008), and rural area residents had low utilization(p=.017). Korean medical expenses were high when they were female or married. Including the utilization of western medical services by outpatients, Korean medical expenses were high when they were female or outpatients who received western medical services. Conclusions: As a result of this study, the factors influencing Korean medical utilization were gender and residence area. There were differences in Korean medical expenses depending on western medical services use or gender. Therefore, it is necessary to use these factors to expand the Korean Medical utilization by multicultural family members, and research of the Korean medical utilization by disease is needed.
This paper proposes a method to determine the optimal utilizations of the UNIX systems. This method is developed using the definition-the optimal utilization is the maximum allowable utilization In other words, the optimal utilization is the maximum utilization that can be allowed by users while providing tolerable response time. As the tolerable response time increases, the optimal utilization increases. Therefore, the optimal utilization is obtained at the maximal value of tolerable response time. Our analysis shows tolerable response time is achieved when the average of the trivial response time is less than 0.24 seconds for a given service objective. It also shows the optimal utilization consists of three components-%wio, %sys, and %usr. By way of example, the optimal utilizations of a machine running under the UNIX operating system are computed using proposed method.

This study sought to explore how SMEs are utilizing EC. Drawing on existing research on IT and EC related field, this study presented the framework of EC utilization level and analyzed its affecting factors in the point of organizational perspectives; strategy and competency. The impact of EC utilization on firm performance was also examined by employing BSC. Structural equation model was applied to test the relationships among the theoretical constructs with data from 171 SMEs. The results showed that the rate of EC utilization in SMEs is growing quite rapidly. However, manufacturing related firms still remain at a lower level compared to service related firms. As for the two affecting factors of EC utilization level, it was found that the level of EC utilization appeared to be driven not by strategy but by competency. This result implicates that EC utilization in SMEs doesn't reach to strategic purpose yet, while it is dependent on firm's competency. As far as the impact of EC utilization on firm performance, the study showed that the level of EC utilization has significant relationship with all perspectives performance indicators of BSC. This study can provide the managers with current EC utilization pattern and the guidelines as to where to put the efforts in the EC utilization and how to get an effective EC utilization strategy in the future.
Despite the proliferation of free trade agreements (FTAs), many exporting firms are still confronted with several challenges in utilizing the FTA preferential tariffs. Based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, this study empirically examines the factors affecting the utilization of FTA schemes by exporting firms. To clarify the key factors influencing FTA utilization, this study develops a conceptual model from the perspective of the adoption of information technology innovations. Eight factors derived from the TOE framework are proposed to explore the determinants of FTA utilization in export. Partial least squares structural equation modeling is employed to analyze the data collected from 162 exporting small- and medium-sized enterprises in the South Korean textile industry. The findings reveal that compatibility and trading partner influence are positively associated with FTA utilization, while complexity is negatively related. Factors of organizational context do not show any relationship with FTA utilization. This study is the first to theoretically analyze and empirically test the determinants of FTA utilization from the perspective of technological innovation adoptions. By examining the relative importance of TOE factors in the utilization of FTA schemes, this study expects to advance a holistic understanding on the perceived factors that could potentially affect the utilization of FTA schemes.
A review of present understanding of the dietary nutrient utilization in ruminant animals is presented. For increasing the utilization of dietary nutrients and reducing environmental contamination, highlighting the development and use of nutritional manipulation technique is suggested.
This study seeks to provide a framework for understanding differential access to medical care. The framework is provided by Anderson Model, a model of health services utilization which suggests a sequence of predisposing, enabling, illness-morbidity characteristics that determine the number of times people will visit a physician. The framework in this study is composed of two models, one is for Adults and the other is for Non-Adults. Models are operationalized using stepwise multiple regression analysis and path analysis. The data come from a national health survey conducted in 1983. The findings of the analysis can be summarized as follows : First, the causal models used in this study are able to explain only a small amount of the variance in medical care utilization(Adjusted $R^2$ is .144 in the Model for Adults and .243 in that for Non-Adults). This finding suggests that we reconsider the utility of such existing model using the predisposing, enabling, and illness-morbidity characteristics in light of their poor correspondence with these data. Second, while small amount of the valiance in medical care utilization is explained, most of the explained variance is due to the illness-morbidity characteristics. The path coefficients of study variables except illness-morbidity variables show these characteristics to be substantially unrelated to medical care utilization, and the indirect effects of the predisposing and edabling characteristics on medical care utilization are also negligible. This casts doubt on the importance of the predisposing and enabling characteristics in explaining medical care utilization. Third, among the predisposing and enabling characteristics, Medical Security variable is the only one having significant direct effect on medical care utilization in both models for Adults and for Non-Adults. Fourth, the amount of the variance explained in the Model for Non-Adults is more than in the Model for Adults. This suggests that medical care utilization of adults is more influenced by behavioral factors than that of children.

This experiment was canied out to select the optimum utilization method by various pasture types at National Livestock Research Institute, Suwon in 1992 and 1993. Tne main plot was two pasture types. wfiich were mainly top-grass(orchardgrass dominated pasture) and mainly bottom-grass(perennial ryegrass dominated pasture), and the subplot was three pasture utilization methods (grazing, grazing after the 1st cutting, and alternate utilization of cutting and grazing). Average dry matter yields of pasture were not affected by pasture types, but there was significant difference(p <0.05) by pasture utilization methods. Daily DM production of pasture was increased with alternate utilization of cutting and grazing at two pasture types. Also, pasture availability is increased by mainly top grasses and alternate utilization of cutting and grazing. Soil phsical chracteristics are improved by alternate utilization of cutting and grazing. According to the results obtained from this experiment, it is suggested that alternate utilization of cutting and grazing is effective for dry matter yield, pasture availability and soil phsical characteristics regardless of pasture types in Korea.

Due to the decrease in the school-age population and the overall population, school closures will continue to occur. Currently, most school closures are happening in rural areas, where geographical conditions often result in relatively poor educational, welfare, and cultural facilities compared to urban areas. Additionally, the proportion of elderly populations and migrant women is continuously increasing. In order to effectively utilize closed schools in the future, various efficient utilization methods that align with the social context of the respective regions will be necessary. The purpose of this study is to examine the status of closed school and utilization types in selected rural and island areas of similar sizes through field surveys and literature reviews. By comparing and analyzing these findings, we have identified the predominant utilization types in rural and island areas and assessed the current situation where utilization is lacking. Based on the results, we aim to provide fundamental data for improving and enhancing the utilization of school closures in the face of the ongoing decline in the school-age population.
The purpose of this study is to compare the health service utilization patterns between up and myun and to find the determinants of utilization. For this purpose. this study used different versions of utilization rates. such as crude utilization rates. utilization rates adjusted for population composition. and age-sex adjusted utilization rates. Data used in this analysis were the Community Health Interview Survey which was conducted by interviewing 741 households from August 31 to September 11, 1998 in HongCheon-Gun. KangWon-Do. The major findings of the analysis are summarized as follows: 1. There was a statistically significant difference in the level of health service utilization between up and myun. Depending upon the unit of analysis employed (those who were interviewed vs those who were sick). the difference between up and myun was reversed. 2. Determinants of health service utilization are analyzed using logistic regression. The result showed that predisposing factor influenced health service utilization in rural areas, while the enabling factor didn't.
