  • A Requirement statement validation process is suggested which was established and applied to the rolling stock development project of the Korean Railway Research Institute. The validation process includes team organization, selection of validation criteria, development of validation template, education of team members, validation, construction of database and management of requirement change. Many defects in the specification of requirement were found to be associated with the problem of non-uniqueness, describing solution instead of problem, ambiguity and redundancy. This paper described detailed activities at each step of the validation process and lessons learned from these activities.

  • Project success is depend on requirement analysis for in the software engineering. Requirements error have a effect in the whole system. As a result, the customer satisfaction will deteriorate. Therefore, we are need to tool that stakeholder's opinion exchange and modify for a accurate analysis in the requirement phase. In this paper, we are design that tool of the stakeholder's opinion exchange.

  • Demand/withdraw communication is an important dysfunctional pattern of serial arguing. This study aims at addressing factors that affect the ways in which self-demand/partner-withdraw pattern increases the likelihood of persistence of serial arguing. We posit that sensitivity to rejection is positively related to the degree to which individuals perceive a partners' behavior as generally disconfirming, which is positively related to enactment of self-demand/partner-withdraw during an argumentative episode. This sequence is positively related to perception of arguments as unresolved. In addition, among those who reported their argument was resolved, this sequence is positively related to the likelihood that the argument is resolved without mutual agreement. Serial mediation analysis confirmed that the likelihood of resolution without mutual agreement were positively associated with rejection sensitivity partially because high RS individuals are likely to perceive their partner to be generally disconfirming and to enact self-demand/partner-withdraw communication during the episode. However, this pattern did not apply to perception of the argument as resolved.

  • In this study, a robust aerospace system design process for the aerospace system is developed by considering the uncertainties of user requirements, manufacturing errors, and operational environment variation. User requirements are analyzed and quantified by decision making models and system engineering methods to select alternative concepts which satisfies the various requirements. Robust design and optimization method is applied to derive the robust solution of the selected system. First, a variance of objective function is calculated, and a mean value and a variance of target value are determined by the deterministic design optimization results of the system. A robust optimum design formulation is then needed to derive the robust solution that minimizes the variance of the response and moves the mean values to the target value. It is applied to Very Light Jet (VLJ) aircraft to which much attention is paid recently in civil aerospace market.

  • The COMS(Communication, Ocean & Meteorological Satellite) is the geostationary satellite which will be performing three main objectives such as meteorological service, ocean monitoring and Ka-band satellite communications. In order to accomplish these missions, the COMS system needs to implement a specific electrical/mechanical interface functions which are requested by each payload units. This paper describes a on-board interface hardware design for COMS Meteorological Imager(MI). The Meteorological Imager Interface Unit(MI2U) achieves, through MIL-STD-15533 system bus, the interface between the Spacecraft Computer Unit(SCU) and the instrument which is dedicated to MI. MI2U provides a necessary power input to MI from +50V Power Supply Regulator(PSR), and allows adaptation of the specific payload interfaces and protocol to COMS spacecraft.

  • A railway control system is one of the typical safety-critical systems. It is required to use formal methods for the requirements specification and verification in order to develop the global-standard railway control systems based on the computer systems. In this paper, we develop a guideline for requirements specification using formal methods, and present a case study of the development of a computer-based railway control system through the application of the proposed guideline. We use the Statechart and the Z method for the formal requirements specifications and verify the consistency and completeness of the formal specifications of the requirements.

  • All information system is information security system that enforced security function. To improve qualify of information security system, suity requirement analysis and specification must be Performed by consistently and typically at early requirement analysis step. In this paper, we propose a security requirements analysis and specification model and process by using Misuse Case Model that extends UML's Use Case Model. And, we propose a cost-effective security product selection algorithm that security product is sufficient of all constructed security functional requirements. It may raise quality of information security system that developed through proposed model and process.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge, attitude and educational needs of radiation protection among nursing students and nurses, because it is needed to raise awareness of the importance of radiation protection. The participants in this study were 274 including 135 registered nurses on bachelor's degree course who had experience of the operating room practice and 139 nursing students. The questionnaire consisted of 45 items including knowledge, attitude, and educational needs of radiation protection. The findings of the study suggest that safe management education was insufficient for protection of radiation. Though, educational needs and intention of involvement were high, the respondents who were more knowledgeable about radiation protection took a better attitude of radiation protection. A radiation protection course development is needed according to educational needs. Nurses have to get a chance to receive education outside the hospital or be provided with a radiation protection program as internal education. Also, radiation educational experts and various visual and auditory materials are needed to promote effectiveness of education.

  • Major obstruction of using formal methods for hybrid real-time systems in industry is the difficulty that engineers have in understanding and applying the quantitative methods in an abstract requirements phase. While formal methods technology in safety-critical systems can help increase confidence of software, difficulty and complexity in using them can cause another hazard. In order to overcome this obstruction, we propose a framework for qualitative requirements engineering of the hybrid real-time systems. It consists of a qualitative method for requirements specification, called QFM (Qualitative Formal Method), and a safety analysis method for the requirements based on a causality information, called CRSA (Causal Requirements Safety Analysis). QFM emphasizes the idea of a causal and qualitative reasoning in formal methods to reduce the cognitive burden of designers when specifying and validating the software requirements of hybrid safety systems. CRSA can evaluate the logical contribution of the software elements to the physical hazard of systems by utilizing the causality information that is kept during specification by QFM. Using the Shutdown System 2 of Wolsong nuclear power plants as a realistic example, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
