Object of this study were to determine the influence of collection times of rumen fluid on in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) of forage crops. The donor cow was fed concentrate once a day and given free access to grass-legume mixture hay. Main plot was consisted of different collection time of rumen fluid; T1: 1 hour before concentrate feeding, T2: 1 hour after feeding, T3: 4 hour after feeding and T4: 8 hour after feeding. A total of 7 samples of 4 different forage crops (barely, Italian ryegrass, crimson clover, rye) were used for the estimation of IVDMD and tested in three replicates. For the $DAISY^{II}$ incubation, each sample was inserted into each filter bag then heat-sealed and incubated in a digestion vessel for 48 h at $39^{\circ}C$. The times of rumen fluid collection had no significant effect on the IVDMD values over all varieties except for 2 breeds of IRG (Kogreen and Kospeed). IVDMD values with T1 over all varieties were slightly higher than other treatments, however those with both T1 of Kogreen and Kospeed varieties were significantly higher than T2 (p<.05).

To investigate the suitable growing area for Italian ryegrass (cv. Kowinearly and cv. Green-Call), we survey the different effects of climatic conditions on plant growth in the east (hereafter termed Yeongdong) and west (hereafter termed Yeongseo) of the passes in Gangwon Province. The Italian ryegrass was grown in Gangneung of Yeongdong and Wonju and Chuncheon of Yeongseo. The plants showed growth differences depending on the cultivated regions between before and after wintering. The Italian ryegrass for pre-wintering showed the relatively long length of plant height in Wonju. While, we observed the relatively tall plants for growing- and harvesting-period after wintering in Gangneung. The increased plant height in Gangneung was closely related to all climatic conditions for the growing period and mean- and lowest-temperature for the harvesting period, respectively. The amount of dry matter was 7,490 kg/ha for Kowinearly and 6,490 kg/ha for Green-Call in Gangneung, which has a higher yield than Chuncheon and Wonju. The relative yield index of dry matter was 77% (Kowinearly) and 78% (Green-Call) in Chuncheon and 84% (Kowinearly) and 71% (Green-Call) in Wonju compared to Gangneung as the standard region. Thus, we suggest that Chuncheon and Wonju are the possible areas for cultivation of Italian ryegrass, considering that Gangneung was the optimum growing area in Gangwon Province.
This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and phytotoxic of crop desiccant treatments on the seed production of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) in Gimje and Buan, South Korea. Here, Italian ryegrass was treated 7, 10, and 14 days before harvest (DBH) and no difference in fresh weight, 1000-seed weight, germination rate, and seed yield was observed compared to the untreated control in the standard dose and double dose for seven DBH. However, the standard dose and double dose on the 10 DBH and 14 DBH had a lower 1000-seed weight, germination rate, and seed yield compared to the untreated control. In pesticide persistence analysis, the permitted standards were not exceeded in the seeds and straw according to the treatment time and concentration. These results suggest that the treatment effect and stability of Italian ryegrass can be expected if treated within seven DBH. However, it seems that crop desiccants should be used after considering grain ripening and weather to minimize loss of seeds.
As entering the information age of the 21st century, Korea is actively processing many digitalizing businesses related to information source of the Korean academic science at the government level based on the Korean advanced digital technologies, which makes them more evolved through the internet networks in Korea. The definition of 'Newly found ideographs(新出漢字)' are made by researching and extracting from the old Chinese documents through the digitalizing process and they are not registered yet among the block of Unicode & extended Chinese characters those are existent international standard. Presently Korea is in the middle of brisk developing computerized old documents in the huge scale. Meanwhile, the international standard of Chinese characters in mostly Asian countries where using them is processing and developing by IRG. Therefore, Korean processing works is very important which are included extracting precisely 'Newly found ideographs' founded from building its database, organizing as an international standard code, submitting the International organization and finally registering as the best standard code.
Anaerobic biodegradability(AB), which can be determined with the ultimate methane yield by the decomposition of organic materials, is one of the important parameters for the design and the operation of anaerobic digestion plant. In this study, Biochemical Methane Potential(BMP) test has been carried out to evaluate the methane yield of agro-industrial biomasses such as cattle manure, Italian ryegrass(IRG), Oats, Rye and Barley as the forage crops, Rush, the sludges produced from milling and slaughterhouse wastewater treatment plant(SMWTP, SSWTP). In the condition of thermophilic anaerobic digestion, the ultimate methane yield and anaerobic biodegradability of forage crops ranged from 0.367 to $0.452LCH_4$/gVS of methane yield with AB having the range of about 77.0 to 87.3%. On the other hand, that of other substrate showed low figures compared with the forage crops because of low VS content and C/N ratio. Therefore, the forage crops could be used as a good substrate to produce much more the methane in anaerobic digestion.

In this study, Biochemical Methane Potential(BMP) test has been carried out to evaluate the methane yield of animal manures, such as pig and cattle slurries, and different forage crops cultivated at the reclaimed tideland, such as maize, sorghum, barley, rye, Italian ryegrass(IRG), rape, rush and sludge produced from slaughterhouse wastewater treatment plant(SWTP). In the ultimate methane yield of animal manure, that of pig slurry(no used a EM) was 407 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$ higher than 242 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$ of cattle slurry. The ultimate methane yield of spike-crop rye was 442.36 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$ the highest among different forage crops, the other showed the value above a methane yield of 300 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$. The forage crop could be used as a good substrate to improve the methane production in anaerobic co-digestion together with animal manure.

The effects of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) mixtures on low moisture Italian ryegrass (IRG) silage fermentation was evaluated in field conditions. The experiment was categorized into two groups: Un-inoculated (Control) and Inoculated with LAB mixture for four storage periods (45, 90, 180, and 365 days, respectively). Silage inoculated with the LAB mixture had the lowest pH with highest lactic acid production than the control from beginning at 45-365 days at all moistures. Higher LAB counts were observed in inoculated silages than the control silages at whole experimental periods. It is a key reason for the rapid acidification and higher lactic acid production in silages during the storage periods. Overall results suggest that an adding of LAB mixture had positive effects on the increasing aerobic stability of silage and preserved its quality for an extended duration.

The ultimate methane yield and biodegradability of spike-crop rye (Rye 1) were 442.36 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$ and 86.5% the highest among different forage crops, those of the other forage crops ranged from 306.6 to 379 $mlCH_4/gVS_{fed}$ of methane yield with the AB having the range of about 60 to 77%. Therefore the forage crops could be used as a good substrate to increase the methane production and to improve the biodegradability in anaerobic co-digestion together with animal manure.

This study was carried out to evaluate the forage yield and feed value of winter crops such as Italian ryegrass (IRG), oat, rye, barley, and hairy vetch. Forage crops were sown on 15th October 2018 in a paddy field after harvesting rice and forage crops were harvested at two times of 25th April 2019 and 18th May 201 9. The highest dry matter (DM) yield was harvested from rye among the five species of forage crop on 18th May. DM yield of all forages was increased 14.4% on 18th May compared to 25th April. The highest yield of crude protein (CP) was obtained from hairy vetch on 25th April, whereas it was decreased (38.1%) on 18th May. Moreover, the highest total digestible nutrient (TDN) yield and relative feed value (RFV) was harvested respectively from rye and hairy vetch on 25th April. Delay of harvest time considerably increased DM yield but significantly decreased CP and RFV. In conclusion, rye was the best source of DM and TDN and hairy vetch was the high-quality feed. Rye harvested on 25th April is the proper forage for resolving Korea's problem of insufficient forage yield.

This study was conducted to investigate the forage characteristics of very early-maturing Italian ryegrass (IRG) three cultivars within September, 2021 to July, 2022 in Cheonan, Korea. We used three different cultivars of Italian ryegrass in this study "Greenfarm" "Greenfarm2ho" and "Greenfarm3ho" The results of heading date in this study, "Greenfarm" was recorded 3 days earlier than the other two cultivars, and its lodge tolerance score was the highest among the three. However, in case of plant length, there was no significantly difference in whole cultivars, in addition disease resistance, insect resistance and cold tolerance were not significantly different in three cultivars. The forage productivity of "Greenfarm2ho" was recorded the highest, especially the 1st harvesting of "Greenfarm2ho" yielded significantly the highest and superior to other varieties. As a result of feed value analysis, three cultivars were generally superior to overseas varieties and in particular, "Greenfarm2ho" was recorded to have excellent value because of the lowest NDF and ADF content. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in crude protein content among three varieties. In case of the monosaccharides content "Greenfarm3ho" had significantly higher glucose content than other two varieties, therefore the "Greenfarm" has advantage for preparing high quality of silage. In contrast, there was no significant difference among three varieties in fructose content.
