제안하는 신호 검출회로는 11 비트의 A/D 변환기 (analog-to digital converter : ADC)와 7 비트의 D/A 변환기(digital to-analog converter : DAC), 그리고 자동 이득 조절 회로 (automatic gain control circuit : AGC)로 구성되며, 비냉각 센서 어레이를 동작시키는 DC 바이어스 전류 성분, 화소간의 특성 차이에 의한 변화 성분과 자체 발열 (self-heating)에 의한 변화 성분을 포함하는 적외선 센서 어레이의 출력 신호로부터 미세한 적외선 신호 성분만을 선택적으로 얻어낸다.
A chromia-pillared clay has been prepared by ion exchange type intercalation reaction between the sodium ion in montmorillonite and the trimeric chromium oxyformate (TCF) ion, and by subsequent heat-treatment. The structural and thermal properties have been systematically studied by thermal analysis, powder XRD, IR spec-troscopy, and XAS. The gallery height of~6.8 $\AA$ upon intercalation of the TCF ion suggests that the $Cr_3O$ plane is parallel to the aluminosilicate layers. Even though the basal spacing of TCF intercalated clay decreases slightly upon heating, the layer structure was retained up to $550^{\circ}C$ as confirmed by XRD and TG/DTA. Ac-cording to the EXAFS spectroscopic analysis, it is identified that the (Cr-Cr) distance of 3.28 $\AA$ between vertex-linked CrO6 octahedra in TCF splits into 2.64 $\AA$, 2.98 $\AA$, and 3.77 $\AA$ due to the face-, edge-, and corner-shared CrO6 octahedra after heating at $400^{\circ}C$, implying that a nano-sized chromium oxide phase was stabilized within the interlayer space of clay.
The microhotplates consisting of a Pt-ased heating element on AlN/poly 3C-SiC layers were fabricated. The microhotplate has a $600{\mu}m{\times}600{\mu}m$ square shaped membrane which made of $1{\mu}m$ thick ploycrystalline 3C-SiC suspended by four legs. 3C-SiC is known for excellent chemical durability, mechanical strength and sustaining of high temperature. The membrane is fabricated by surface micromachining using oxidized Si sacrificial layer. The Pt thin film is used for heating material and resist temperature sensor. The fabrication methodology allows intergration of an array of heating material and resist temperature detector. For reasons of a short response time and a high sensitivity a uniform temperature profile is desired. The dissipation of microhotplate was examined by a IR thermoviewer and the power consumption was measured. Measured and simulated results are compared and analyzed. Thermal characterization of the microhotplates shows that significant reduction in power consumption was achieved using suspended structure.
A small diameter of SiC fiber mat can produce much higher heat under microwave irradiation than the other types of SiC materials. Fabrication of high strength SiC fiber consists of iodine vapor curing on polycarbosilane precursor and heat treatment process. The curing stage of polycarbosilane fiber was maintained at $150-200^{\circ}C$ in a vacuum condition under the iodine vapor to fabricate a high thermal radiation SiC fiber. The structure and morphology of the fibers were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In this study, the thermal properties of SiC fiber mats under microwave have been analyzed with an IR thermal camera and its image analyzer. The prepared SiC fiber mats radiated high temperature with extremely high heating rate up to $1100^{\circ}C$ in 30 seconds. The fabricated SiC fiber mats were not oxidized after the heat radiation process under the microwave irradiation.
A fast process for producing pure silica glasses with the reproducibility of 100% by means of sintering of silica aerogels was optimized. The density of silica glasses synthesized by heat-treating upto 110$0^{\circ}C$ with the heating rate of 0.1$^{\circ}C$/min was 2.197 g/㎤. Synthetic silica glasses(5 mm thickness) exhibited the transmittance of 92% in the near IR range as well as they had the excellent mechanical properties such as flexural strength of 162 MPa and hardness of 778 kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$.
The production of functional activated carbon materials starting from inexpensive natural precursors using environmentally friendly and economically effective processes has attracted much attention in the areas of material science and technology. In particular, the use of plant biomass to produce functional carbonaceous materials has attracted a great deal of attention in various aspects. In this study the preparation of activated carbon has been attempted from rice husks via a chemical activation-assisted microwave system. The rice husks were milled via attrition milling with aluminum balls, and then carbonized under purified $N_2$. The operational parameters including the activation agents, chemical impregnation weight ratio of the calcined rice husk to KOH (1:1, 1:2 and 1:4), microwave power heating within irradiation time (3-5 min), and the second activation process on the adsorption capability were investigated. Experimental results were investigated using XRD, FT-IR, and SEM. It was found that the BET surface area of activated carbons irrespective of the activation agent resulted in surface area. The activated carbons prepared by microwave heating with an activation process have higher surface area and larger average pore size than those prepared by activation without microwave heating when the ratio with KOH solution was the same. The activation time using microwave heating and the chemical impregnation ratio with KOH solution were varied to determine the optimal method for obtaining high surface area activated carbon (1505 $m^2$/g).
Wafer bonding methods such as fusion and anodic bonding suffer from high temperature treatment, long processing time, and possible damage to the micro-scale sensor or actuators. In the localized bonding process, beating was conducted locally while the whole wafer is maintained at a relatively low temperature. But previous research of localized heating has some problems, such as non-uniform soldering due to non-uniform heating and micro crack formation on the glass capsule by thermal stress effect. To address this non-uniformity problem, a new heater configuration is being proposed. By keeping several points on the heater strip at calculated and constant potential, more uniform heating, hence more reliable wafer bonding could be achieved. The proposed scheme has been successfully demonstrated, and the result shows that it will be very useful in hermetic packaging. Less than 0.2 ㎫ contact Pressure were used for bonding with 150 ㎃ current input for 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ width, 2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ height and 8mm $\times$ 8mm, 5mm$\times$5mm, 3mm $\times$ 3mm sized phosphorus-doped poly-silicon micro heater. The temperature can be raised at the bonding region to 80$0^{\circ}C$, and it was enough to achieve a strong and reliable bonding in 3minutes. The IR camera test results show improved uniformity in heat distribution compared with conventional micro heaters. For gross leak check, IPA (Isopropanol Alcohol) was used. Since IPA has better wetability than water, it can easily penetrate small openings, and is more suitable for gross leak check. The pass ratio of bonded dies was 70%, for conventional localized heating, and 85% for newly developed FP scheme. The bonding strength was more than 30㎫ for FP scheme packaging, which shows that FP scheme can be a good candidate for micro scale hermetic packaging.

Background: IgE is closely related to the development of allergies. However, the poor relationship between the specific IgE level and the severity of allergic diseases suggests the possibility of functionally different IgE isoforms. With this in mind, rat basophilic leukemia (RBL)-2H3 activation was analyzed with each type of rat IgE for two parameters, exocytosis and IL-4 mRNA production. RBL-2H3 has been well documented in the rat mucosal mast cell line. Methods: RBL-2H3 cells sensitized with each kind of rat IgE was activated by cross-linking FcRI with B5 (monoclonal anti-rat IgE mouse IgG antibodies). The RBL-2H3 exocytosis was measured by analyzing the ${\beta}$-hexosaminidase level, and the level of IL-4 mRNA synthesis was analyzed using semiquantitative RT-PCR. Rat IgE, which was produced by a parasite infection (REP), was prepared using either Paragonimus westermani metacercariae (REP-PW) or Anisakis simplex third stage larvae (REP-AS). A rat IgE prototype of IR162 was prepared by a peritoneal injection of immunocytoma. Results: The level of exocytosis showed a linear relationship with the rat IgE concentration when REP-PW or REP-AS was applied. However, it exhibited a biphasic response with IR162. In addition, the time course of heating at $56^{\circ}C$ illustrated the similarity between REP-PW and REP-AS, which differed from that of IR162. In contrast, the level of IL-4 mRNA synthesis in the RBL-2H3 cells with IR162 was comparable to that of either REP-PW or REP-AS. Conclusion: These results suggest that functionally different rat IgE isoforms exists in RBL-2H3 exocytosis.
