Short Range Target Tracking Based on Data Fusion Method Using Asynchronous Dissimilar Sensors (비동기 이종 센서를 이용한 데이터 융합기반 근거리 표적 추적기법)

  • This paper presents an target tracking algorithm for fusion of radar and infrared(IR) sensor measurement data. Generally, fusion methods with Kalman filter assume that processing data obtained by radar and IR sensor are synchronized. It has much limitation to apply the fusion methods to real systems. A key point which is taken into account in the proposed algorithm is the fact that two asynchronous dissimilar data are fused by compensating the time difference of the measurements using radar's ranges and track state vectors. The proposed fusion algorithm in the paper is evaluated via a computer simulation with the existing track fusion and measurement fusion methods.

  • The general technique of ink-and-wash drawing consists of brush, ink and paper modeling and brush movement, ink diffusion and paper material simulation. In this paper, we suggest the simplified Qing's tank model that can decrease the computational time of ink diffusion and absorption on korean paper. The suggested drawing system is classified the characteristics of ink-and-wash into ink-shade, diffusion, line and paper. Also, the user's movement using motion sensor and IR sensor in wiimote is transmitted to brush position and direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 상용화 된 유모차들이 가지고 있는 불편함 및 예기치 못한 변수로 일어나는 사고에 대응할 수 있는 기능 등 한계점을 극복하고 보완 할 수 있는 기능들을 '스마트 자율 주행 유모차'라는 시스템을 통하여 소개한다. IR-LOCK 센서를 통하여 부모와 유모차 간 일정 거리를 유지하며 센싱 한 데이터를 BLDC 모터로 전송하여 상황에 맞는 움직임을 아두이노에서 제어하는 시스템이다. 몇 가지 예외적인 실험 상황에서는 불안정한 엑츄에이션이 있지만, 정교한 알고리즘을 통하여 최적화를 시켜간다면 완성도가 높은 제품으로 발전할 가능성이 있다. 더 나아가 이 시스템을 유모차에 제한하지 않고, 다른 분야에도 적용시킨다면 매우 기대가 되는 시스템이라고 판단된다.

Properties of glass fiber by adding $Ga_2O_3$ in the $SiO_2-PbO-K_2O-Al_2O_ 3$ system for infrared sensor ($Ga_2O_3$ 첨가에 따른 $SiO_2-PbO-K_2O-Al_2O_ 3$계 적외선 센서용 glass fiber의 특성)

  • In this study, the thermal and optical proper-ties of multicomponent oxide glass fiber for IR sensor by adding heavy metal oxide Ga$_{2}$O$_{3}$ were investigated. The fiber samples were made by rod-in tube method. The optical loss of fiber was measured in 0.3-1.8/M wavelength region. As Ga$_{2}$O$_{3}$ increased up to 12wt%, the transition and softening temperature of bulk glass were increased from 495.deg. C to 564.deg. C and from 548.deg. C to 612.deg. C respectively. Whereas the thermal expansion coefficient was decreased from 102 to 88.2*10$^{-7}$ /.deg. C. The refractive index was increased from 1.621 to 1.662, and IR cut-off wavelength was enlarged from 4.64.mu.m to 5.22.mu.m. The optical loss of fiber was decreased and more remarkably decreased in 1.146.mu.m-1.8.mu.m wavelength region.

  • 화재발생 시 인명 안전을 위하여 초기의 화재감지가 매우 중요한 요인이다. 특히 도로터널, 지하철역사 등 광범위 폐쇄공간에서 연기에 의한 질식사 등 2차 피해의 발생위험이 높다. 이에 최근 광범위 공간에서 적외선 레이저를 활용한 원거리 연기검출 화재탐지기에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 레이저 기반 원거리 연기검출장치는 이격(100m 이상) 설치되는 레이저 발신기와 수신기의 레이저 포인트가 정확히 정합되어야 한다. 아울러, 레이저 발신기와 수신기 사이의 거리에 비례하여 레이저 초점의 이동거리가 매우 민감하게 변화하므로 이를 정확히 정합하기 위한 고정밀 제어장치가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 복수개의 레이저 발신모듈과 복수개의 조도센서(CdS)를 통해 초점의 정합을 자동 추적할 수 있는 알고리즘을 설계, 구현하였다. 이는 초기 레이저 초점의 설정과 이후 외부환경에 따른 초점의 틀어짐을 자동 보정하여 다양한 레이저 인식 장치에 적용될 것으로 사료된다.

Realization of Readout Circuit Through Integrator to Average MCT Photodetector Signals of Noncontact Chemical Agent Detector (비접촉 화학작용제 검출기의 MCT 광검출기를 위한 적분기 기반의 리드아웃 회로 구현)

  • A readout circuit for a mercury-cadmium-telluride (MCT)-amplified mid-wave infrared (IR) photodetector was realized and applied to noncontact chemical agent detectors based on a quantum cascade laser (QCL). The QCL emitted 250 times for each wavelength in 0.2-㎛ steps from 8 to 12 ㎛ with a frequency of 100 kHz and duty ratio of 10%. Because of the nonconstant QCL emission power during on-duty, averaging the photodetector signals is essential. Averaging can be performed in digital back-end processing through a high-speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or in analog front-end processing through an integrator circuit. In addition, it should be considered that the 250 IR data points should be completely transferred to a PC during each wavelength tuning period of the QCL. To average and minimize the IR data, we designed a readout circuit using the analog front-end processing method. The proposed readout circuit consisted of a switched-capacitor integrator, voltage level shifter, relatively low-speed analog-to-digital converter, and micro-control unit. We confirmed that the MCT photodetector signal according to the QCL source can be accurately read and transferred to the PC without omissions.

  • To develop array magnetic sensors, specular-type giant magnetoresistive- spin valve (GMR-SV) film of Glass/Ta(5)MiFe(7)/IrMn(10)NiFe(5)/$O_2$/CoFe(5)/Cu(2.6)/CoFe(5)/$O_2$/NiFe(7)/Ta(5)(nm) was deposited by using a high-vacuum sputtering system. One of 15 way sensors in the area of $8{\times}8mm^2$ was Patterned a size of $20{\times}80{\mu}m^2$ in multilayer sample by Photo-lithography. All of 15 sensors with Cu electrodes were measured a uniform magnetic properties by 2-probe method. The highest magnetic sensitivity of MR and output voltage measured nearby an external magnetic field of 5 Oe were MS = 0.5%/Oe and ${\triangle}$V= 3.0 mV, respectively. An easy-axis of top-free layers of $CoFe/O_2/NiFe$ with shape anisotropy was perpendicular to one of bottom-pinned layers $IrMn/NiFe/O_2/CoFe$. When the sensing current increased from 1 mA to 10 mA, the output working voltage uniformly increased and the magnetic sensitivity was almost stable to use the nano-magnetic devices with good sensitive properties.

  • 본 연구에서는 센서 네트웍과 컴퓨터 비전 시스템을 이용한 모바일 센서 네트워크(Mobile Sensor Network) 의 응용에 관한 실험을 수행하였다. 주된 내용으로는 모바일 센서를 탑재한 차량을 이용한 로컬라이제이션(Localization) 과 팀원 인식(Team Identification) 등에 관련된 방법을 포함한다. 본 시스템은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기획을 하였으며 자체 설계한 하드웨어와 내장형 소프트웨어를 탑재하여 주어진 기능을 수행하도록 하도록 하는 한편, 모바일 센서의 역할을 할 수 있도록 다양한 센서를 장착할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한 전자나침반을 이용한 방위각 측정능력, 초음파 센서를 이용한 근거리 장애물 회피 능력, 적외선 발광 다이오드(IR-LED)와 적외선 필터를 씌운 카메라를 이용한 동료의 위치 파악 능력등을 통하여 로컬라이제이션에 도움이 되도록 한다. 통신을 위하여 IEEE 802.11g 프로토콜에 기반을 둔 통신 능력을 가지며 차량간의 통신도 같은 프로토콜을 통하여 이루어지게 된다.

Low-Cost IR Sensor-based Localization Using Accumulated Range Information (누적된 거리정보를 이용하는 저가 IR 센서 기반의 위치추정)

  • Localization which estimates a robot's position and orientation in a given environment is very important for mobile robot navigation. Although low-cost sensors are preferred for practical service robots, they suffer from the inaccurate and insufficient range information. This paper proposes a novel approach to increasing the success rate of low-cost sensor-based localization. In this paper, both the previous and the current data obtained from the IR sensors are used for localization in order to utilize as much environment information as possible without increasing the number of sensors. The sensor model used in the monte carlo localization (MCL) is modified so that the accumulated range information may be used to increase the accuracy in estimating the current robot pose. The experimental results show that the proposed method can robustly estimate the robot's pose in indoor environments with several similar places.

Modified PZT System for Pyroelectric IR Sensor (Modified PZT계 초전형 적외선 센서개발)

  • Fabricated modified PZT system for pyroelectric IR sensor were analyzed and characterized for dielectric piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties. Particle size and distribution of source powders were controlled by attrition milling process. 0.05PSS+yPT+(0.95-y)PZ+0.4 wt%MnO2 system was fabricated and investigated sintering density crystal structure and micro-structure through sintering conditions sintering temperature and sintering atmosphere. The poled sintered system of y=0.11 showed the lowest dielectric constant. The dielectric constants were increased with increasing y-mole ratio. The pyroelectric properties of modified PZT systems which were assembled to TO-5 package were measured by IR measurement system average out-voltage of 0.05PSS+0.1PT+0.84PZ+ wt%MnO2 was 3V.
