BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides BACnet/IP Protocol for data communication through the internet. BACnet device transmits BACnet broadcast messages and BACnet/IP messages using conventional IP technologies. Specially, BBMD(BACnet Broadcasting Management Device) is used to deliver BACnet broadcast messages. In this study, we propose a mechanism of fault tolerant BBMD in the BACnet/IP protocol. The Fault Tolerant BBMD mechanism(FTBM) improves the connectivity of BACnet/IP networks by inheriting the operation of BBMD in the networks. The FTBM is implemented with added functions to the original BACnet/IP protocol so that it can be applied together with original BACnet/IP devices. We also prove the FTBM's backward compatibility with original BACnet/IP protocol using experimental analysis.

The Mobile IP protocol allows IP hosts to move between different networks without changing their IP addresses. The Mobile IP systems supporting the local registration were introduced to reduce the number of times when a home registration with the remotely located Home Agent is needed. The local registration Mobile IP protocol enhanced the performance by processing the MN\`s registration requests at a local agent. However. the local registration approach may consider other aspects of the Mobile IP systems as the FA fault tolerance. In this paper, we will briefly review previous protocols to support the FA fault tolerance in hierarchical local registration Mobile If system and will propose a fault tolerance protocol with backup FA in hierarchical local registration mobile IP t() enhance the efficiency of such systems against Foreign Agent failures.

Mobility management of the mobile nodes and provision of seamless handover is crucial to an efficient support for the global roaming of the mobile nodes in next-generation wireless networks. Mobile IPv6 and mobility management in extended IP layer, which highly depend on traffic characteristics and user mobility models, were proposed by the IETF. Therefore, to evaluate the in-depth performance about these factors is important. Generally, the performance of IPv6-based mobility management protocol is evaluated through simulation. This paper shows the correlation between network parameters and performance metrics through numerical results, which is investigated how influence handoff latency and packet loss. And this paper uses mathematical analysis of the system parameters, such as the subnet residence time, the packet arrival rate and delay in wireless connection through the analytical framework which evaluate the performance of IPv6-based mobility management protocol.

대규모의 네트워크를 사용하는 기업이나 학교, 기관에서는 IP주소의 효율적인 관리를 위해 설러 가지 노력을 하지만 사용자의 허가되지 않은 IP주소의 무단 사용에 대하여 대처할 방법이 마땅치 않다. 사용자 임의로 IP주소를 설정하여 사용하게 되면 이를 찾아내기가 매우 까다롭고, 안약 그 IP주소가 중요서버의 IP일 경우에는 IP주소의 중복사용으로 인한 서비스 장애가 발생할 수도 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 네트워크 설정을 변경하지 않으면서 사용자의 특별한 개입 없이 IP주소를 관리 및 모니터링 하고 중요 서버의 IP사용을 보호할 수 있는 에이전트 기반의 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

Which factors should influence consumer consideration to subscribe to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)? Policy issues, managerial concerns, and demographic variables are possible factors. This paper discusses policy and managerial issues regarding VoIP adoption. A model that explains VoIP adoption is proposed and tested. This study analyzes a survey of 750 prospective VoIP users in Korea. The testing is accompanied by logistic regression and discriminant analysis. The results show that trust in VoIP, relative comparison of Quality to fixed service, numbering plan, satisfactions of call Quality and customer services on both fixed and mobile services have impacts on the adoption of VoIP. Implications for VoIP providers and policy makers are presented.

VoIP 서비스는 인터넷을 기반으로 하므로 인터넷망에서 발생하는 보안 위험이 내재해 있고, 서비스가 실시간으로 이루어진다는 특성으로 인해 기존의 보안 솔루션으로 이러한 보안 위험을 해소하기는 어렵다. 따라서 VoIP 망 구축 초기단계부터 정보보호를 고려하여 보안대책을 세우고 이를 반영하는 것이 비용과 보안 효과 측면에서 바람직하다. 본 논문에서는 상용 VPN 제품에 공개 프로젝트인 SIP VoIP Gateway 'Asterisk'을 연동하여 사용자 인증과 데이터 기밀성을 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 VoVPN(Voice over Virtual Private Network)을 설계하고 구현하였다.

본 논문에서는 이미 널리 보급되어 있는 VoIP 기술과 급속도로 발전하고 있는 음성인식기술을 살펴보고, 이 두 가지 기술을 함께 응용했을 때 나타나는 진화된 서비스의 종류와 그 동향을 살펴보고자 한다. 최근 들어 음성인식 기술을 이용한 서비스나 상품들이 홍수처럼 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 그동안 축적된 음성인식기술은 GUI나 일반 DTMF를 이용하는 User Interfaces를 대체할 수 있을 정도로 발전되었고 또 앞으로도 지속적인 발전이 있을 것이라 예상된다. 그러므로 VoIP와 음성인식의 접목은 수많은 다양한 종류의 새로운 서비스를 창출할 것으로 예상된다. 현재 유무선 전화 및 인터넷 서비스 사업자에 관련되어 유선전화, 무선전화, 무선 인터넷 등 세 종류의 각각 다른 비즈니스 모델이 형성될 수 있다. VoIP는 단독으로 쓰이기보다는 다른 다양한 기술 및 서비스와 접목되었을 때 그 효과가 극대화된다.

This paper proposes a prediction reputation system for the anti-SPIT solution in real-time VoIP environment. Increased accuracy of the determination as to whether spam or not by deriving a threshold based on SPIT presence in the existing paper. The existing schemes need to get the user's feedback and/or have experienced the time delay and overload as session initiates due to real-time operation. To solve these problems, the proposed scheme predicts the reputation through the statistical analysis based on the period of session initiation of each caller and the call duration of each receiver. As per the second mentioned problem, this scheme performs the prediction before session initiation, therefore, it's proper for real-time VoIP environment.

We propose a location management with adaptive binding idle lifetime scheme for IP-based wireless network. In our proposed scheme, the binding idle lifetime value is adaptively varied according to user characteristics. The main idea is that the mobile node (MN) does location update (LU) even in idle state. Furthermore a sequential paging scheme is used to reduce the paging cost. The proposed scheme can be used in both cellular network and IP-based network.

QoS(Quality of Service) is defined as "The collective effect of service performance which determines the degree of satisfaction of a user of the service" by ITU-T Rec. E.800. While the use of VoIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) has been widely implemented, persistent problems with QoS are a very important sue which needs to be solved. This research is finding the assignment of VoIP QoS to deduct how to manage the control system and presenting the QoS control process and framework under NGN(Next Generation Network) environment. The trial framework is the modeling of the QoS measurement metrics, instrument, equipment, method of measurement, the series of cycle & the methodology about analysis of the result of measurement. This research underlines that the vulnerability of the VoIP protocol in relation to its QoS can be guaranteed when the product quality and management are controlled and measured systematically. Especially it's very important time to maintain the research about VoIP QoS measurement and control because the big conversion of new network technology paradigm is now spreading. In addition, when the proposed method is applied, it can reduce an overall delay and can contribute to improved service quality, in relation to signal, voice processing, filtering more effectively.
