A Study on the WECPNL Application Method to Estimate the Measured data by using the Simulated value for Military Aircraft (군용항공기의 예측 최고소음도와 측정된 최고소음도의 비교를 통한 WECPNL의 산정에 관한 연구)

  • The INM simulation program is used to estimate the condition of the exposed area to the noise near a military airport in Korea. $WECPNL_k$, the evaluation unit of korean airport noise, is different from the ICAO $WECPNL_I$ that is used in the simulation program. Therefore, it is inappropriate to compare these units each other directly. This study presents method of comparison between them by using $LA_{MAX}$. The aircraft events are classified into three classes, as departure, overfly and approach. In result, the measurement and simulation seemed to be similar at departure and approach pattern. However, overfly pattern had higher errors between measurement and simulation. Finally, it is necessary to examine the method to determine flight events and duration for the $WECPNL_k$ application.

  • Flying an aircraft is not like driving a train along a railway track. There are many factors that may affect an aircraft's course, including the wind speed and direction relative to the aircraft's intended flight path. This paper investigates noise exposed area by using INM. Especially, effect on aircraft route to minimise the number of people overflown by departing aircraft is evaluate. The result shows that track keeping scheme is effective to reduce the noise area. On the other track at 4000ft is negligible to the noise contour.

  • The noise pollution caused by air traffic is one of the popular environmental issues, which consistently gives rise to public discussion today especially among local residents near airports. But, because there is a growing tendency that large residential areas are constructed in flatlands around airports due to a high population density, the importance of the EIA in connection with aircraft noise is increased to take precautionary measures. Therefore, this paper examines the present status and the improvement plan of aircraft noise impact assessment.

  • The principle goal of environmentally-friendly agriculture is to maintain and conserve water and agriculture environment including drinking water resources by properly using agricultural materials such as agricultural chemicals, chemical fertilizers, and other agricultural materials according to act 19 of foster law of environmentally-friendly agriculture. To achieve these goals, we have to establish Integrated Nutrient Management(INM) and Integrated Pesticide Management(IPM) which are most important core technologies for environmentally-friendly rice cultivation. However, there are lack of criteria and technology for evaluation category according to soil management and its soil classes to practice an environmentally-friendly agriculture. Therefore, we should eatablish the standards to produce the safe agricultural products based on the soil physical and chemical characteristics which are basic properties of soil to accomplish the principle aims of environmentally-friendly agriculture.

New record of a blood-feeding terrestrial leech, Haemadipsa rjukjuana Oka, 1910 (Haemadipsidae, Arhynchobdellida) on Heuksando Island and possible habitat estimation in the current and future Korean Peninsula using a Maxent model

  • To build a distribution model for Haemadipsa rjukjuana, we collected current occurrences of the species on Heuksando with adjacent islands. Based on current locations and 19 climate variables with DEM (digital elevation model), we built the MaxEnt (maximum entropy) species distribution model for H. rjukjuana in the islands. Then, we applied the MaxEnt model to the mainland of Korea with the current climate condition and topology. In addition to the current distribution scenario, we predicted the future distribution scenarios in Korea by Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) global climate models. Shared Socioeconomic Pathway (SSP) 585 of two CMIP6 models(GISS-E2-1 and INM-CM4-8) from 2040 to 2100 were used for the future projection.

A Study on Production and Expansion for Environmentally Friendly Chestnuts in Korea (친환경 밤의 생산실태 및 확대방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study has the object of deriving schemes for not only securing safety of chestnuts, which is the most important forest product in terms of both production and exportation, to consumers with implementing persistent production of them in harmony with the environment, but also producing environmentally friendly chestnuts that can contribute to the increase of a farm household's income through price differentiation from other chestnuts, which are grown by generally accepted ways. In order to do this, I performed an analysis of the reality and outcome from the management of farm households that produce environmentally friendly chestnuts. The result of the analysis demonstrated some problems such as poor establishment of farming skills in a beginning stage, administrative problems with weeding operations and prevention of blight, difficulty in ensuring distribution channels and high production cost. Therefore, propelling productive expansion of environmentally friendly chestnuts after resolving these problems requires many supports and ideas: establishment and diffusion of farming skill system under the cooperation of civil and government organizations, construction of environmentally friendly INM (Integrated Nutrient Management) and IPM (Integrated Pest Management), creation of production areas for improving productivity, introduction of 'Institution of Income Conservation for Environmentally-Friendly Production' that can help farmers to preserve integrity of income on their switchover to production of environmentally friendly chestnuts from generally-grown chestnuts, and finally strong and persistent promotion of environmentally friendly chestnuts towards existing farmers and consumers.

Runoff analysis according to LID facilities in climate change scenario - focusing on Cheonggyecheon basin (기후변화 시나리오에서의 LID 요소기술 적용에 따른 유출량 분석 - 청계천 유역을 대상으로)

  • In this study, using the RCP scenario for Hyoja Drainage subbasin of Cheonggyecheon, we analyzed the change with the Historical and Future rainfall calculated from five GCMs models. As a result of analyzing the average rainfall by each GCMs model, the future rainfall increased by 35.30 to 208.65 mm from the historical rainfall. Future rainfall increased 1.73~16.84% than historical rainfall. In addition, the applicability of LID element technologies such as porous pavement, infiltration trench and green roof was analyzed using the SWMM model. And the applied weight and runoff for each LID element technology are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, although there was a difference for each GCMs model, the runoff increased by 2.58 to 28.78%. However, when single porous pavement and Infiltration trench were applied, Future rainfall decreased by 3.48% and 2.74%, 8.04% and 7.16% in INM-CM4 and MRI-CGCM3 models, respectively. Also, when the two types of LID element technologies were combined, the rainfall decreased by 2.74% and 2.89%, 7.16% and 7.31%, respectively. This is less than or similar to the historical rainfall runoff. As a result of applying the LID elemental technology, it was found that applying a green roof area of about 1/3 of the urban area is the most effective to secure the lag time of runoff. Moreover, when applying the LID method to the old downtown area, it is desirable to consider the priority order in the order of economic cost, maintenance, and cityscape.

Principles of Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring with Insertion and Removal of Electrodes (수술 중 신경계감시검사에서 검사에 따른 전극의 삽입 및 제거방법)

  • Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (INM) examination identifies the damage caused to the nervous system during surgery. This method is applied in various surgeries to validate the procedure being performed, and proceed with confidence. The assessment is conducted in an operating room, using subdermal needle electrodes to optimize the examination. There are no textbooks or guides for the correct stimuli and recording areas for the surgical laboratory test. This article provides a detailed description of the correct stimuli and recording parts in motor evoked potential (MEP), somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP) and visual evoked potentials (VEP). Free-running Electromyography (EMG) is an observation of the EMG that occurs in the muscle, wherein the functional state of most cranial nerves and spinal nerve roots is determined. In order to help understand the test, an image depicting the inserting subdermal needle electrodes into each of the muscles, is attached. Furthermore, considering both the patient and the examiner, a safe method is suggested for removal of electrodes after conclusion of the test.

  • 기후변화 적응 유역 물순환 개선 기술은 기후변화가 진행 중에 있거나 예상되는 지역에 대하여 강우-유출수를 지연, 저류, 침투시켜 지속가능한 물순환체계를 유지 회복하도록 하는 기술이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 국내 유역의 특성 및 기후를 반영하기 수월한 물순환 개선 및 평가시스템을 국내 기술로 개발하였다. 개발된 유역 물순환 개선 및 평가시스템은 기존 국가연구개발사업을 통해 개발되고 사업화에 성공한 바 있는 유역 물순환 평가 모형인 CAT(Catchment hydrologic cycle Assessment Tool)을 수정 및 개선하여 기후변화에 따른 영향을 평가하고 적응 대책을 수립하기 위한 실무적인 소프트웨어이다. 침투트렌치, 식생침투트렌치, 습지, 저류지, 빗물탱크 등의 물순환개선시설에 대한 효과를 평가할 수 있도록 개별시설의 제원에 따른 물순환개선 효과를 정량적으로 평가할 수 있다. 본 연구의 대상유역으로는 팔당댐 상류의 경안천 유역을 선정하였다. 경안천 유역의 기후변화에 따른 물순환 개선 기술 적용을 위해서 기후변화 시나리오 자료는 기상청 수원 측후소의 1976~2099년 FGOALS-s2, HadGEM-ES, INM-CM4 RCP8.5 시나리오를 적용하였으며 분석기간은 2020s(2010~2039), 2050s(2040~2069), 2080s(2070~2099)로 구분하였다. Baseline은 수원 측후소 과거 30년 1971~2000년 자료를 이용하였고 각 시나리오별 수문성분 및 구조적 물순환 개선기술 적용에 따른 수문성분을 비교 분석하였다. 물순환 개선기술 시나리오 중 침투시설 시나리오는 도시 면적의 20%, 설계침투량은 일본 우수저류침투기술협회 기준인 단위면적($1m^2$)당 10mm 적용하였고, 빗물저장시설 시나리오의 저장시설의 용량은 수도법시행규칙(2011)의 빗물 이용시설기준(도시면적 ${\times}0.05$)을 적용하였다. 시나리오별 강우량은 HadGEM-ES가 증가폭이 크게 나타났고 INM-CM4는 2080s에서 감소 경향을 보였다. 증발산량은 거의 모든 시나리오에서 대부분 감소하였고, 개선기술 적용에 따라 크게 증가하거나 감소폭이 줄어들었다. 직접유출량 및 중간유출량은 기후변화 시나리오별 강우증가분에 따른 미세한 증가 양상을 보였고, 개선기술 적용에 따라 약간 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 지하수유출량의 경우 침투시설 적용으로 함양량이 크게 증가함에 따라 증가폭이 매우 크게 나타났다.

  • The types of artifacts that are observed in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (INM) is truly diverse. The removal of artifacts that interfere with the examination is essential. In addition, improving the quality of the examination by removing artifacts is a reflection of the competency of the examiner and is also the best way to ensure patient safety. However, if knowledge of the equipment or anesthesia in the operating room is insufficient due to lack of experience, artifacts cannot be removed even with a method appropriate to the situation. If artifacts are not separated and removed, the reading of the examination results in confusion in the operation process. This can be a fatal problem in neurosurgery that requires rapid and sophisticated procedures. In this paper, the causes of artifacts that occur during surgery are classified into electrical factors, non-electrical factors, and other factors, and a method and examination method for removing artifacts according to the specific situation is mentioned. Although the operating room environment is a very critical place to simultaneously consider various scenarios, we hope that a stable and optimal INM will play a role by knowing the types and causes of various artifacts and how to tackle them.
