Particle filter is a kind of conditional density propagation model. Its similar characteristics to both selection and mutation operator of evolutionary strategy (ES) due to its Bayesian inference rule structure, shows better performance than any other tracking algorithms. When a new object is entering the region of interest, particle filter sets which have been swarming around the existing objects have to move and track the new one instantaneously. Moreover, there is another problem that it could not track multiple objects well if they were moving away from each other after having been overlapped. To resolve reinitialization problem, we use competitive-AVQ algorithm of neural network. And we regard interfarme difference (IFD) of background images as potential field and give priority to the particles according to this IFD to track multiple objects independently. In this paper, we showed that the possibility of real-time object tracking as intelligent interfaces by simulating the deformable contour particle filters.

Background: Posaconazole is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent and the most recommended prophylactic antifungal agent for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) undergoing induction chemotherapy. In this study, we evaluated the status and effectiveness of posaconazole as a prophylactic antifungal agent in pediatric patients receiving induction chemotherapy for AML. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the electronic medical records of 36 pediatric patients with AML (between January 2013 and September 2017) at the Yonsei University Health System. Invasive fungal disease (IFD) was assessed as the primary endpoint of prophylactic antifungal effect. The secondary endpoints were incidence of fever, persistent fever despite the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics for 72 h, alteration of antifungal agent, intensive care unit admission, and death within 100 days. Results: Among the 36 patients, 18 patients used posaconazole, 12 were treated with suspension formula, and 6 of them were treated with tablets. Eighteen patients did not use antifungal agents prophylactically. The mean number of days of posaconazole administration was $26.8{\pm}16days$. IFD occurred in 2/18 (11.1%) patients in the no prophylaxis group and in 1/18 (5.6%) patients in the posaconazole group (p=0.49). Conclusion: Posaconazole is expected to be useful for the prevention of IFD in pediatric patients with AML undergoing induction chemotherapy. Prospective studies of the effectiveness of posaconazole prophylaxis should be conducted in more pediatric patients in the future.

Two GOS (Generalized Observer Scheme) type Fault Detection Isolation Schemes (FDIS), employing the bank of unknown input functional observers (UIFO) as a residual generator, are proposed to make the practical use of the multiple observer based FDIS. The one is IFD (Instrument Fault Detection) scheme and the other is PFD (Process Fault Detection) scheme. A design method of UIFO is suggested for robust residual generation and reducing the size of the observer bank. Several design objectives that can be achieved by the FDI schemes and the design methods to meet the objectives are described. An IFD system is constructed for the Boeing 929 Jetfoil boat system to show the effectiveness of the propositions. Major contributions of this paper are two folds. Firstly, the proposed UIFO approaches considerably reduce the size of residual generator in the GOS type FDI systems. Secondly, the FDI schemes, in addition to the basic functions of the conventional observer-based FDI schemes, can reconstruct the failed signal or give the estimates of fault magnitude that can be used for compensating fault effects. The schemes are directly applicable to the design of a fault tolerant control systems.
There has been an increase for the landslide areas and restoration expenses due, in large part, to the increased locally heavy rains caused by recent climate change as well as the reckless development. This study carried out a slope stability analysis by the application of distributed wetness index, using the GIS-based infinite slope stability model, which took the root cohesion effect into consideration, for part of Mt. Umyeon in Seoul, where landslide occurred in July 2011, in order to compensate the defects of existing analysis method, and subsequently compared its result with the case on the exploitation of lumped wetness index. In addition, this study estimated the distributed wetness index by methodology, applying three methods of specific catchment area calculation: single flow direction (SFD), multiple flow direction (MFD), and infinity flow direction (IFD), for catchment area, one of the variables of distributed wetness indices, and finally implemented a series of comparative analysis for slope stability by methodology. The simulation results showed that most unstable areas within the study site were dominantly located in cutting-area surroundings along with the residential area and the mountaintop and unstable areas of IFD and lumped wetness index method were similar while SFD and MFD provided smaller unstable areas than the two former methods.

Objective : To evaluate the relationship between postoperative increase in intervertebral disc space height (IVH) and posterior axial neck in cases of degenerative cervical disease treated with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). Methods : A total of 155 patients who underwent ACDF with more than 1 year follow up were included. Radiologically, IVH and interfacet distance (IFD) of the operated segment were measured preoperatively and postoperatively. We clinically evaluated neck and arm pains according to visual analogue scale (VAS) scores and assessed neck disability index (NDI) scores preoperatively, postoperatively, at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year postoperatively. The relationship between radiological parameters, and clinical scores were analyzed using a regression analysis. Results : The mean increase in IVH was 2.62 mm, and the mean increase in IFD was 0.67 mm. The VAS scores for neck pain preoperatively, postoperatively, and at 3 months, 6 months, 1 year postoperatively were 4.46, 2.11, 2.07, 1.95, and 1.29; those for arm pain were 5.89, 3.24, 3.20, 3.03, and 2.18. The NDI scores were improved from 18.52 to 7.47. No significant relationship was observed between the radiological evaluation results regarding the increase in intervertebral height or interfacet distance and clinical changes in VAS or NDI scores. Conclusion : The increase in intervertebral space or interfacet distance by the insertion of a large graft material while performing ACDF for the treatment of degenerative cervical disease was not related with the change in VAS scores for neck and arm pains and NDI scores postoperatively and during the follow-up period.

In the era of digital transformation, the transportation underprivileged remains as an underprivileged class without the benefits of technological advances. Electric assist devices for the People with disability are inadequate to provide services suitable for the current traffic environment, although the mobility of the People with disability is improved. In this paper, we develop IoT smart mobility by deriving essential elements through user satisfaction surveys to efficiently move physical distances based on the experience of users using existing electric assistive devices. Based on the data collected through user satisfaction survey, quantitative analysis using TF-IFD and qualitative analysis based on QFD are performed to determine the importance of user requirements. For the evaluation of IoT smart mobility design results reflecting essential functions, usability verification is conducted by forming an expert evaluation team in various fields. In the future, we plan to conduct a service design study that can improve mobility convenience and provide mobility service solutions by designing to provide efficient public services by utilizing IoT smart mobility to the People with disability.
This study investigated the predictive accuracy of a model of landslide displacement in Jecheon-si, where a great number of landslides were triggered by heavy rain on both natural (non-clear-cut) and clear-cut slopes during August 2020. This was accomplished by applying three flow direction methods (single flow direction, SFD; multiple flow direction, MFD; infinite flow direction, IFD) and the degree of root cohesion to an infinite slope stability equation. The application assumed that the soil saturation and any changes in root cohesion occurred following the timber harvest (clear-cutting). In the study area, 830 landslide locations were identified via landslide inventory mapping from satellite images and 25 cm resolution aerial photographs. The results of the landslide modeling comparison showed the accuracy of the models that considered changes in the root cohesion following clear-cutting to be improved by 1.3% to 2.6% when compared with those not considered in the area under the receiver operating characteristics (AUROC) analysis. Furthermore, the accuracy of the models that used the MFD algorithm improved by up to 1.3% when compared with the models that used the other algorithms in the AUROC analysis. These results suggest that the discriminatory application of the root cohesion, which considers changes in the vegetation condition, and the selection of the flow direction method may influence the accuracy of landslide predictive modeling. In the future, the results of this study should be verified by examining the root cohesion and its dynamic changes according to the tree species using the field hydrological monitoring technique.

Axial fans are widely used in household electrical appliances due to their easy usage and high flow rate for cooling capacity. At the same time, the noise generated by these fans causes one of serious problems. In order to calculate the noise of a fan, we develop the software IFD - Intranet Fans Design. With this software we can design, analysis the performance and predict the noise of fan. The prediction model, which allowed the calculation of acoustic pressure at the blade passing frequency and it's higher harmonic frequencies, has been developed by Lowson's equation. To calculate the unsteady resultant force of the blade, time-marching free-wake method is used. The objective of this study is to calculate the effects of number of blades, rotating velocity, and sweep angle on the noise of fan..
