Main content extraction of web pages is widely used in search engines, web content aggregation and mobile Internet browsing. However, a mass of irrelevant information such as advertisement, irrelevant navigation and trash information is included in web pages. Such irrelevant information reduces the efficiency of web content processing in content-based applications. The purpose of this paper is to propose an automatic main content extraction method of web pages. In this method, we use two indicators to describe characteristics of web pages: text density and hyperlink density. According to continuous distribution of similar content on a page, we use an estimation algorithm to judge if a node is a content node or a noisy node based on characteristics of the node and neighboring nodes. This algorithm enables us to filter advertisement nodes and irrelevant navigation. Experimental results on 10 news websites revealed that our algorithm could achieve a 96.34% average acceptable rate.

This study investigates design strategies for improving the educational quality of multimedia contents for early childhood education. It emphasizes both traditional education theory and developmental aspects in its exploration of interactive and educational qualitative multimedia contents for early children. Accordingly, for an effective early childhood education, it is necessary to experience of the playful learning for the conception of ideas and the understanding of the social life. Because this study 1) possibility of multimedia contents for early childhood education, 2) computer application method for early childhood education, 3) examines used in the designing of multimedia contents for early childhood education according to traditional education theory. Multimedia early childhood education system is possible to organize information such as test, image, sound and video based on hyperlink system. I use Microsoft's Ms-office and Asymetrix's ToolBook software that are useful for hyperlink and parameter. Multimedia contents and other pages are used by Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE). Therefore multimedia contents for early childhood education is a useful tool for students of early childhood education department, parents, and children.

The purpose of this research was to investigate cognitive differences between the processes making hyperlinking and citing decisions as perceived by scholarly authors themselves. 15 Indiana University faculty and doctoral students who had published at least one scholarly electronic paper containing at least one external hyperlink were interviewed. Four different types of hyperlinking behaviors were emerged from the interview data. The findings of the study revealed that there are no consensually agreed-upon conventions on the use of hyperlinks in scholarly environments although the majority of the authors tend to follow the implicit norms of conventional citation practices.

With the proliferation of WWW, providing more intelligence to Web sites has become a major concern in e-business industry. In recent days, this trend is more accelerated by prosperity of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in terms of various aspects such as product recommendation, self after service, etc. To accomplish this goal, many e-companies are eager to embed web enabled rule-based system, that is, expert systems into their Web sites and several well-known commercial tools are already available in the market. Most of those tools are developed based on CGI so far but CGI based systems inherently suffer over-burden problem when there are too many service demands at the same time due to the nature of CGI. To overcome this limitation of the existing CGI based expert systems, we propose a new form of Web-enabled expert system using hyperlink-based inference mechanism. In terms of burden to Web server, our approach is proven to outperform CGI based approach theoretically and also empirically. For practical purpose, our this approach is implemented in a software system, WeBIS and a graphic rule editing methodology, Expert Diagram is incorporated into the system to facilitates rule generation and maintenance. WeBIS is now successfully operated for financial consulting in the web site of a leading financial consulting company in Korea.

A hyperlink on academic World Wide Web has started to be recognized as a form of collaborative communication network connecting individual researchers and research groups and expanding their collaboration relations by making possible easy and direct online contact among people or groups anywhere in the world. This paper describes the structure of academic hyperlinks embedded in universities' Web sites hosted at the 10 Asian countries and further, examines the association between the structure of the hyperlink network and collaborative communication pattern among those countries based on their frequency of co-authoring articles. This research found that the number of inter-hyperlinks among universities' Web sites was significantly correlated with the frequency of co-authored articles across the 10 countries.

This study developed e-book content in order to use e-books as a tool to provide more efficient classes to learners who are familiar with smart devices and online spaces. E-book contents were produced using Sigil-0.9.10. The development process is as follows. Before e-book development, it is necessary to prepare manuscript files, image files to be inserted, fonts to be used, and e-book covers. After inserting the book cover images, it is necessary to register the table of contents using the title tag and register the free fonts. Also, a style must be created for text or images used in the main text connected to a file containing the entire text. Then, after separating the entire text file into separate files according to each chapter, the text is completed in turn. E-books were produced focusing on hyperlink functions so that educational content and various example images could be accessed. Currently, there is a lack of research on e-books as textbooks in universities within the fashion design major. In the future, if e-book contents are developed according to the characteristics of courses and the level of learners, they can be used as effective teaching tools.

In this paper, we propose a web page weighting scheme based on WordNet-based collaborative evaluation and hyperlink to improve the precision of web search engine. Generally search engines use keyword matching to decide web page ranking. In the information retrieval from huge data such as the Web, simple word comparison cannot distinguish important documents because there exist too many documents with similar relevancy. In this paper, we implement a WordNet-based user interface that helps to distinguish different senses of query word, and constructed a search engine in which the implicit evaluations by multiple users are reflected in ranking by accumulating the number of clicks. In accumulating click counts, they are stored separately according to lenses, so that more accurate search is possible. Weighting of each web page by using collaborative evaluation and hyperlink is reflected in ranking. The experimental results with several keywords show that the precision of proposed system is improved compared to conventional search engines.

본 논문에서는 정보여과 시스템에서 웹 페이지를 수집하고 여과하는 과정과 사용자 프로파일을 학습하는 과정에 하이퍼링크 정보를 이용하는 방법을 제안한다. 사용자가 원하는 웹 페이지를 추천하기 위해 사용자 프로파일을 하이퍼링크 정보를 이용해 만들고 사용자의 반응(feedback)에 따라 사용자 프로파일을 조정한다. 가중치 조정에 있어서 학습 효과를 높이기 위해 사용자가 반응을 보인 웹 페이지에서 출발해 링크로 연결된 모든 페이지에 대해 깊이에 따라 가중치를 조정하는 가중치 전파 알고리즘(Weight Propagation Algorithm)을 제안한다. 적은 사용자의 반응으로도 프로파일 내의 많은 페이지에 영향을 줄 수 있어 높은 학습 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

인터넷의 발전과 함께 유해사이트의 급속한 증가로 유해사이트 분류의 신뢰도를 높일 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 기존의 유해사이트 분류방식에는 텍스트 기반의 분류방식과 Skin-Color Detection 알고리즘을 이용한 이미지 기반 방식이 있으며, 현재 텍스트 기반의 사이트 분류방식이 보편적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문은 기존 유해사이트 분류의 신뢰도를 높이기 위하여 유해사이트에 포함된 링크 정보를 기반으로 유해사이트 분류의 정확성을 검증할 수 있음을 증명하였다.

현대사회에서 인터넷 이용은 인간으로서 기본적인 삶의 문제가 되어 매일 인터넷을 이용하지 않는 경우는 것의 없으며, SNS를 사용하면서 거의 매일 하이퍼링크를 하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 하이퍼링크가 합법적으로 업로드된 저작물에 연결되는 것에 대해서는 별로 문제가 되지 않지만, 불법적으로 업로드된 저작물에 링크를 하고, 이러한 링크를 관리하여 수익모델을 가지고 있는 개인 및 기업의 증가로 대한민국뿐만 아니라, 전세계적으로 저작권법적인 문제가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 미국, EU, 대한민국의 판례를 간략하게 정리하고, 현재까지 판례를 비판하며, 입법론을 제안해 보고자 한다.
