  • An enterprise patch-management system (PMS) typically supplies a single point of failure (SPOF) of centralization structure. However, a Blockchain system offers features of decentralization, transaction integrity, user certification, and a smart chaincode. This study proposes a Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain-based distributed patch-management system and verifies its technological feasibility through prototyping, so that all participating users can be protected from various threats. In particular, by adopting a private chain for patch file set management, it is designed as a Blockchain system that can enhance security, log management, latest status supervision and monitoring functions. In addition, it uses a Hyperledger Fabric that owns a practical Byzantine fault tolerant consensus algorithm, and implements the functions of upload patch file set, download patch file set, and audit patch file history, which are major features of PMS, as a smart contract (chaincode), and verified this operation. The distributed ledger structure of Blockchain-based PMS can be a solution for distributor and client authentication and forgery problems, SPOF problem, and distribution record reliability problem. It not only presents an alternative to dealing with central management server loads and failures, but it also provides a higher level of security and availability.

  • Real cyberterrors are invisible and difficult to identify. Even after a cyberattack, its origin and cause are difficult to determine. Cyberterrorism results in invisible cyberwars, and it is believed that World War IV will begin with a cyberwarfare. For national cybersecurity, information on cybersecurity must be collected, shared, and disseminated. In this study, we investigate a blockchain system designed based on the World Cybersecurity Agreement. National cybersecurity information is linked to the hyperledger blockchain system network through the National Cybersecurity Center. National cybersecurity information designs and uses a secure protocol for protection; further, it is collected, shared, and disseminated to treaty countries. National cybersecurity information is shared and spread by the hyperledger blockchain system, and it uses a cyberdefense system that responds to the cyberattacks and their origin. This paper serves as a policy and legislation guideline for forming a World Cybersecurity Agreement between countries.

  • Android Application Package (APK) is vulnerable to repackaging attacks. Therefore, obfuscation technology was applied inside the Android APK file to cope with repackaging attack. However, as more advanced reverse engineering techniques continue to be developed, fake Android APK files to be released. A new approach is needed to solve this problem. A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a cryptographic hash of theprevious block, a timestamp and transaction data. Once recorded, the data inany given block cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks. Therefore, it is possible to check whether or not theAndroid Mobile APK is forged by applying the blockchain technology. In this paper, we construct a discrimination DApp (Decentralized Application) against forgery Android Mobile APK by recording and maintaining the legitimate APK in the consortium blockchain framework like Hyperledger Fabric by Composer. With proposed DApp, we can prevent the forgery and modification of the appfrom being installed on the user's Smartphone, and normal and legitimate apps will be widely used.

  • In this paper, we present a healthcare data integration management and sharing platform based on a permissioned blockchain-based system called the Hyperledger fabric. The Hyperledger fabric allows patients to easily access their data, share the data with agencies that need it, and also reward participants. The healthcare data is stored in the blockchain by a de-identification process. Privacy is protected by setting detailed access rights to the stored data. The proposed model provides higher security than other models using a public blockchain. This study confirms that patient data can be stored more securely, by comparing the data stored in the blockchain with that from existing information storage methods.

  • To trade cryptocurrency, traders require a personal cryptocurrency wallet. Cryptocurrency itself using blockchain technology is guaranteed excellent security and reliability, so the threat of blockchain hacking is almost impossible, but the exchange environment used by traders for transactions is most subject to hacking threats. Even if transactions are made safely through blockchain during the transaction process, if the trader's wallet information itself is hacked, security cannot be secured in these processes. Exchange hacking is mainly done by stealing a trader's wallet information, giving the hacker access to the victim's wallet assets. In this paper, to prevent this, we would like to reconstruct the existing Hyperledger Fabric structure and propose a system that verifies the identity integrity of traders during the transaction process using whitelisting. The advantage is that through this process, damage to cryptocurrency assets caused by hackers can be prevented and recognized. In addition, we aim to point out and correct problems in the transaction process that may occur if the victim's wallet information is stolen from the existing Hyperledger Fabric.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) networks composed of a large number of sensors and actuators generate a huge volume of data and control commands, which should be enforced by strong data reliability. The end-to-end data reliability of IoT networks is an essential industrial enabler. Blockchain technology can provide strong data reliability and integrity within IoT networks. We designed a lightweight end-to-end blockchain network that applies to common IoT applications. Its enhanced modular architecture and lightweight consensus mechanism guarantee its practical applicability for general IoT applications. In addition, the proposed blockchain network is highly software compatible because it adopts the Hyperledger development environment. Directly embedding the proposed blockchain middleware platform in small computing devices proves its practicability.

  • e-Governance is a medium to offer various services to citizens through a web portal, that exists in many countries nowadays. The existing e-Governance technology is a vast, centrally managed database and a set of applications that connect to it via web interfaces. Despite the modernisation of services, it remains with the lack of transparency. Thus, the existing infrastructure of e-Governance paves the way for corrupt practises by the bureaucrats. e-Governance needs a powerful underlying technology which doesn't provide any way to allow tampering of the record and which in turn eliminates corruption. In this paper, we took land registration as a use-case for building e-Governance by keeping Blockchain as an underlying technology, to put off the corrupt practices and to bring transparency. Once transactions in land registration added to the Blockchain, it is immutable as it is cryptographically secured. Besides, the blockchain technology is secured as the ledger is distributed over the network. If a hacker wants to modify the ledger, he needs to hack every node in the blockchain network. Hyperledger Fabric, a permissioned Blockchain adopted for implementation and Hyperledger Caliper for performance analysis with these evaluation metrics such as throughput, latency and execution time.
