The carbon metabolism of newly isolated Clostridium tyrobutyricum JM1 was investigated at varying initial glucose concentrations (27.8-333.6mM). Because an understanding of metabolic regulations was required to provide guidance for further effective metabolic design or optimization, in this case, maximizing hydrogen production, carbon and energy balances by C. tyrobutyricum JM1 were determined and applied in anaerobic glucose metabolism. The overall carbon distribution suggested that initial glucose concentrations had strong influence on the stoichiometric coefficients of products and the molar production of ATP on the formation of biomass. C. tyrobutyricum JM1 had a high capacity for hydrogen production at the initial glucose concentration of 222.4 mM with high concentrations of acetate and butyrate.
We are currently living in the era of the wide field cosmological surveys, either spectroscopic such as Dark Energy Spectrograph Instrument or photometric such as the Dark Energy Survey or the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope. By analyzing the distribution of matter clustering, we can use the growth of structure, in combination with measurements of the expansion of the Universe, to understand dark energy or to test different models of gravity. But we also live in the era of multi-tracer or multi-messenger astrophysics. In particular, during the next decades radio surveys will map the matter distribution at higher redshifts. Like in optical surveys, there are radio imaging surveys such as continuum radio surveys such as the ongoing EMU or spectroscopic by measuring the hydrogen 21cm line. However, we can also use intensity mapping as a low resolution spectroscopic technique in which we use the intensity given by the emission from neutral hydrogen from patches of the sky, at different redshifts. By cross-correlating this maps with galaxy catalogues we can improve our constraints on cosmological parameters and to understand better how neutral hydrogen populates different types of galaxies and haloes. Creating realistic mock intensity mapping catalogues is necessary to optimize the future analysis of data. I will present the mock neutral hydrogen catalogues that we are developing, using the Horizon run 4 simulations, to cross-correlate with mock galaxy catalogues from low redshift surveys and I will show the preliminary results from the first mock catalogues.

Numerical analysis information will be very useful to improve fluid system. General information about an internal gas flow is presented by numerical analysis approach. Relating with hydrogen compressing system, which have an important role in hydrogen energy utilization, this should be a useful tool to observe the flow quickly and clearly. Flow characteristic analysis, including pressure and turbulence kinetic energy distribution of hydrogen gas coming to the cylinder of a reciprocating compressor are presented in this paper. Suction-passage model is designed based on real model of hydrogen compressor. Pressure boundary conditions are applied considering the real condition of operating system. The result shows pressure and turbulence kinetic energy are not distributed uniformly along the passage of the Hydrogen system. Path line or particles tracks help to demonstrate flow characteristics inside the passage. The existence of vortices and flow direction can be precisely predicted. Based on this result, the design improvement, such as reducing the varying flow parameters and flow reorientation should be done. Consequently, development of the better hydrogen compressing system will be achieved.
In recent years, development of energy conversion systems using hydrogen as an energy source has been accelerated globally. Even though hydrogen is an environment-friendly energy source, safety and effectiveness issues in storage, transportation, and usage of hydrogen should be clearly resolved in every application. Therefore, sensors for detecting hydrogen leakage, especially for fuel cell electric vehicles, should be designed to have much higher resolution and accuracy in comparison with conventional gas sensors. In this study, we conducted to determine the design parameters for the semiconductor hydrogen sensor with optimized sensing conditions under the thermal distribution characteristic and thermal transfer characteristic. The heat generation study on power supply voltage was studied for correlation analysis of thermal energy according to the power supply voltage variation from 1.0 voltage to 10.0 voltage every 0.5 voltage. And we studied for the temperature coefficient of resistance with hydrogen sensor.
In this study, the hydrogen reduction behavior of ball-milled NiO nanopowder was investigated depending on the partial pressure of water vapor. The hydrogen reduction behavior was analyzed by thermogravimetry and hygrometry under heating to 873 K in hydrogen. In order to change the partial pressure of the water vapor, the dew point of hydrogen was controlled in the range of 248 K~293 K by passing high-purity hydrogen through a saturator that contained water. Interestingly, with the increase in the dew point of the hydrogen atmosphere, the first step of the hydrogen reduction process decreased and the second step gradually increased. After the first step, a pore volume analysis revealed that the pore size distribution in the condition with a higher water vapor pressure shifted to a larger size, whereas the opposite appearedat a lower pressure. Thus, it was found that the decrease in the pore volume during the chemical reaction controlled process at a dew point of 248 K caused a reduction in retardation in the diffusion controlled process.
Recently, it is necessary for study on renewable energy due to environmental pollution and fossil fuel depletion. Therefore, in this study, the filling temperature according to the nozzle geometry was evaluated based on the limit temperature specified in SAEJ2601 for charging hydrogen, a new energy. There are three types of nozzles, normal, angle and round, fixed the average pressure ramp rate at 52.5 MPa/min, and the injection temperature was set at 293.4 K. As a result, the lowest temperature distribution was found in the round type, although the final temperature did not differ significantly in the three types of nozzles. In addition, Pearson's coefficient was calculated to correlate the mass flow rate with the heat transfer rate at the inner liner wall, which resulted in a strong linear relationship of 0.98 or higher.
Biofuels produced from biomass can be substituted for petroleum fuels due to GHG reduction, sustainability and environmental friendly. The process technologies that convert biomass into biofuels are varied and depend on the feedstocks. Microalgae are considered to be one of the most promising alternative source to the conventional feedstocks for biofuel. Microalgae can be converted to biodiesel, bioethanol, biogas and biojet fuel via thermolchemical and biochemical production technologies. This reviews discusses recent advance in understanding the effects of the characteristics of various processes on the production of biofuels using microalgae. The performances of microalgae based biofuel are compared.
The objective of this experimental study is to verify atomization characteristics of emulsified fuel. The emulsified fuel made of adding the ultrasonic energy is analyzed with atomization characteristics and chemicophysics. As water contents within emulsified fuel and needle angle increase, SMD, viscosity and surface tension were analyzed. By measuring the distribution percentage of hydrogen volume by $^1H$-NMR spectrum, the proportion of aromatics and paraffins is analyzed and compared each other. The results of study is as follows. First, as water contents within emulsified fuel and needle angle of nozzle increases, SMD increases. Second, for the distribution percentage of hydrogen volume, the distribution percentage of aromatics is about 10% and the rest portion is paraffins.
Based on the collisional time-correlation function approach a general analytical expression has been derived for the double differential cross-section with respect to the scattering angle and the final rotational energy, which can be applied to molecules with non-zero electronic orbital angular momentum after collision with fast hydrogen atoms. By integrating this expression another very simple expression, which gives the final rotational distribution as a function of the rotational quantum number, has also been derived. When this expression is applied to NO(2Π1/2, v'=1) and NO(2Π3/2, v'=1, 2, 3), it can reproduce the experimental rotational distribution after collision with fast H atom very well. The average rotational quantum number and average rotational energy using this expression are also in good agreement with those deduced from the experimental distributions.
The relation between the deformation and the geometrical shape, and the effect of cold work on the hydrogen absorption behavior in palladium were investigated. The Pd specimens used were plates and wires as cold worked and annealed states. The palladium plates and wires were loaded with hydrogen by electrochemical method. Experimental analyses were carried out through X -ray diffraction, micrometer measurement and decimal balance measurement. As the results, it is found that the effect of cold work on hydrogen absorption capacity was relatively small. The deformation of the palladium plates in thickness direction is larger than in other lateral directions whereas the palladium wires showed the same deformation ratio in all radius directions because of the circular distribution of coexisting $\alpha$ and $\beta$ phases. The products of plastic deformation such as slip lines and voids etc. were observed abundantly in all specimens although the specimens had undergone only once of a hydrogen absorption and desorption.
