  • This study was conducted to establish a hydrogen pipe network integrated control platform architecture for integrated management of full cycle information and data using digital twin technology, which is widely used in general industry and construction industry. To this end, we present a hardware configuration diagram for platform operators and service delivery methods, and an architecture(functional configuration diagram) for the development of a hydrogen pipe network integrated control platform. The results of this study conducted through the above process are summarized as follows. First, to establish the platform basic structure, the platform hardware configuration diagrams for WEB server, WAS server, DB server, BIM file conversion server, storage, and backup were presented. Second, the architecture(functional configuration diagram) for the hydrogen pipe network platform, platform utilization interface, external system, hydrogen pipe network standard system, and BIM-based hydrogen pipe network digital twin construction was presented to secure consistent data and manage information standards for each construction stage.

  • In petrochemical complex, Hydrogen Network optimization is surveying the extra Hydrogen and needed Hydrogen of each company and calculating the optimized distribution. This paper compares the case of using the existing pipeline and the case of not using the existing pipeline to show the effect quantitatively and clearly by modeling the both cases and using mathematical programming. As a result, using the existing pipeline can save the pipe cost over 20% and increase the whole network benefit by thirteen billion won.

  • This study analyzed cases of hydrogen (H2) and natural gas (CH4) leakage from a hydrogen-blended natural gas pipeline to determine a range of leakage characteristics, including leakage type, pipe material, pipe diameter, pressure, and damage size. Based on the results of this analysis, five hydrogen-blended natural gas leakage scenarios were selected. The national vision for a carbon-neutral society by 2050 is a very important strategic objective and promotes environmentally sustainable economic development in the age of the climate crisis. Accordingly, zero-carbon and low-carbon policies are being promoted in various fields, including energy production, consumption, and industrial processes. Hydrogen-blended natural gas is eco-friendly and is considered an important step towards carbon neutrality, with various countries including the United States and several European countries conducting empirical research to further investigate its potential. In Korea, a national research project commenced in April 2023 to verify and demonstrate the life cycle safety of blending hydrogen into the natural gas network. The results of this study will provide important data for the analysis of the damage impacts caused by the leakage of hydrogen-blended natural gas, such as the diffusion of gas clouds, fires, and gas explosions.

  • Piping systems play an important role in gas and oil transferring system. In the piping system, there are many elements, such as valves and flow meters. In order to check their normal operating conditions, each signal from each element is displayed on the monitor in the pipe control room. By the way, there are several accidental cases in the piping system even if all signals from the local elements are judged to be normal on the monitor in the control room. Further, opposite cases often happen even the monitor shows abnormal while the local elements work normal. To overcome this abnormal functions, it is not so easy to construct the environment in which sensors detecting the working states of all elements installed in the piping system. In this paper, a new non-contact measurement technique which can calculate the elements' delicate displacements by using a PIV(particle image velocimetry) and diagnose their working states by using a neural network is proposed. The measurement system consists of a host computer, a micro system, a telescope and a high-resolution camera. As a preliminary test, the constructed measurement system was applied to measure delicate vibrations of mobile phones. For practical application, a pneumatic system was measured by the constructed system.
