고장력 강판의 초음파 피로시험 (Ultrasonic Fatigue Test for a High Strength Steel Plate)

  • The demand of high cycle fatigue behavior on plate material is increasing because of its various applications. However, the high-cycle fatigue life data of the plate material is very rare compared to the rod material. Thus, in this study, a plate specimen is designed for the ultrasonic fatigue test because it is time efficient as compared to the conventional fatigue test. To apply the ultrasonic fatigue test, the specimen design is required to resonate at 20 kHz. Therefore, the dynamic elastic modulus was determined by measuring the resonance frequency with a piezoelectric element and laser doppler vibrometer (LDV). As a result, the plate specimen is designed and demonstrated using the ultrasonic fatigue testing machine. The ultrasonic fatigue test results were compared with the hydraulic fatigue test results.

  • This paper explains the fatigue test procedure of a composite train carbody. The composite carbody with length of 23m was manufactured as a sandwich structure composed of a 40mm-thick aluminium honeycomb core and 5mm-thick woven fabric carbon/epoxy face. In order to evaluate fatigue strength of the composite carbody, the carbody will be excited by two 50-ton capacity hydraulic actuators. The excitation frequency will be measured by natural frequency evaluation test under full weight condition. The test The fatigue test is to be conducted For $2{\times}10^6$cycles. During the fatigue test, the nondestructive tests using X-ray and liquid penetrant will be performed. From crack detection tests, the location and Fatigue crack progress will be investigated.

  • This paper described that rotating test and fatigue test of a small-scale hingeless hub system with composite rectangular blades. Generally Rotating stability and fatigue test technique is one of Key-technology on test and evaluation for helicopter rotor system Rotating test of hingeless rotor system was achieved by means of rotor vibration characteristic and aeroelastic stability test GSRTS, equipped with hydraulic actuator and 6-component rotating balance was used to test hingeless rotor system especially for an observation of blade motion including flawing, lagging and feathering. Rotating test was done in hover and forward flight condition. Small-scaled blade fatigue test condition was determined by blade load analysis with the reference table of composite materials(S-N curve). Fatigue test bench was developed for the estimation of blade fatigue life, and tested its characteristic.

  • 차량이 주행 중에 그리고 항공기가 활주로에 착륙하는 순간과 활주 중에 발생하는 피로는 착륙장치, 기체와 차량의 현가장치 등에 수명 주기와 밀접한 관련이 있다. 휠에 작용하는 하중들은 종축 힘, 횡력, 수직력과 제동력이다. 차량의 동특성과 내구성을 연구하기 위해 본 논문의 시뮬레이터는 시험실에서 실제 노면 형상을 재현에 사용된다. 그러므로 제품 개발 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 하드웨어적으로 유압 피로 시뮬레이터 구조의 중요한 요소는 각 축을 분리하고 여러 하중과 진동을 견뎌내는 것이다. 본 논문의 역기구학적 해석 방법은 Dummy wheel 중심에서 축 방향으로 최대 동작 변위를 준 후 커플링에 의한 유압 서보 작동기의 작동 크기를 도출한다. 해석의 결과는 실제 노면 형상을 정확하게 재현하기 위해 축 간의 커플링이 미약함을 확인하는 것이다.

  • Full scale durability test in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structures of the automotive vehicle. Component testing is particularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, Hydraulic road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the algorithm and software to realize the real road profile are developed. The operation software for simultaneously controlled multi-axial simulator is developed and the input and output data are displayed window based PC controller in real time. The software to generate the real road profile are developed. This paper developed a road profile reappearance software and simultaneously apply 3-axial actuator to white noise, so we verified the propriety of reappearance software through accomplishes an real test.

  • LNG 선박용 성형 벨로우즈의 성형방법에 따른 특성을 파악하기 위하여 정적시험과 저주기 피로시험을 실시하였다. 벨로우즈의 규정된 수명 사이클인 8,000회를 실시하여 시험전후의 벨로우즈의 각 산에 걸리는 변형률과 응력을 측정하여 성형방법에 따른 벨로우즈간의 차이를 분석하고 산 별 응력분포를 살펴보았다. 본 저주기 피로시험은 x-y방향의 변위가 가능한 유압시스템의 구조시험장비에 성형 벨로우즈를 장착하고 벨로우즈의 각 산에는 스트레인게이지를 장착하고 멀티레코더를 통하여 데이터를 처리하였다. 이를 통하여 벨로우즈가 성형방법에 따른 수명의 차이가 있는지 살펴보았고, 성형방법에 따른 수명의 차이를 주는 원인을 분석하였다.

변형률-수명 평가기법을 이용한 Al/CFRP 하이브리드 적층 복합재의 피로수명 측정 (The Estimation of Fatigue Life for Al/CFRP Hybrid Laminated Composites using the Strain-Life Method)

  • Hybrid laminated Al/carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) composites are attracting considerable attention from industries such as aerospace and automobiles owing to their excellent specific strength and specific rigidity. However, when this material is used to fabricate high-pressure fuel storage containers subjected to repeated fatigue loads, fatigue life evaluation for the working load is regulated as an important criterion for operational safety and ease of maintenance. Among the existing evaluation methods for these vessels, the burst test and the hydraulic repeat test require expensive facilities. Thus, the present study aims to develop an improved fatigue life test for Al/CFRP laminated hybrid composites. The test specimen was manufactured using a curved mold considering the shape of a type III high-pressure storage container. The strain-life method was used for fatigue life evaluation, and the life was predicted based on the transition life. The results indicate that the more complex the CFRP stacking sequence, the longer is the transition life. This test method is expected to be useful for ensuring the fatigue safety and economy of hybrid laminate composites.

첨탄기어의 피로강도에 미치는 표면이상층의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Non-martensitic Layer on the Fatigue Strength in Carburized Gears)

  • This study deals with the effect on non-martensitic layer on the fatigue strength in carburized gear. The test gears are carburized, then treated by the combination of chemical polishing and electro-polishing. Carburization treatment is used widely on parts of power transmission system like surface hardened layer to improve fatigue strength. Carburized gears are observed using a scanning electron microscope(SEM) to determine the characteristics of crack initiation mechanism in the surface layer. The constant street amplitude fatigue test is performed by using and electro-hydraulic servo-controlled pulsating tester. The S-N curves are obtained and illustrated. The effect of non-martensitic layer on the fatigue strength is clarified.

세이빙기어의 굽힘피로강도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Bending Fatigue Strength in Shaving Gears)

  • This study deals with evaluation of bending fatigue strength in shaving gears. The saying gears were manufactured by processes that are currently used in most gears manufacturing companies. The test gears are bobbed, then the tooth surface are treated by a combination of shaving, carburizing and shot peening. The constant stress amplitude fatigue test is performed by using an electro-hydraulic servo-controlled pulsating tester. The S-N curves are obtained and illustrated. In this study, the effect of shaving process and shot peening was investigated and evaluated quantitatively on the fatigue strength. The enhancement of fatigue strength due to shaving process and shot peening is clarified.

항공기용 유압 펌프의 맥동 압력에 의한 감쇄기 용접부위 균열 개선 연구 (The Vibration Effect by Induced Pulsation Pressure to the Fatigue Crack of the Dampener Fitting Welding Zone)

  • 항공기는 운용 중에 엔진, 유압펌프, 공력 등에 의한 진동 환경에 노출이 되어 기계구조와 각종 구성품이 고주기 피로로 인해 균열이나 파괴가 될 수 있다. 통상적으로 항공기용 유압 펌프는 액셜 피스톤 타입이 주로 적용되고 있으며, 펌프의 특성상 연속적인 회전에 의한 유량 맥동 발생은 필연적으로 수반된다. 이러한 유압펌프 맥동에 의한 진동을 감소시키기 위해 설치된 Dampener Fitting의 용접 부위에서 균열이 발생하였다. 용접 부위 균열의 원인 파악을 위해 파단면 분석 및 성분분석을 수행하였고, 균열 방지를 위한 설계 개선사항으로 일체형 Fitting 가공 방식을 적용하였다. 일체형 Fitting의 적용 타당성에 대한 설계검증을 위해 구조건전성 응력 해석, 피로수명 해석, 인증시험 및 항공기 체계 장착 시험을 수행하였다. 개선방안에 대한 해석 결과 재료의 요구수명 및 각종 시험의 요구조건에 만족하는 결과를 얻었으며, 개선방안을 운영 항공기에 적용 할 수 있는 것을 객관적으로 검증하였다.
