박판 페어 하이드로포밍 공정의 성형성 향상을 위한 다단 성형 공정의 개발 (Improvement of Formability in the Multi-Stage Sheet Pair Hydroforming Process)

  • In the automotive industry hydroforming of sheet metal pairs have received special attention because materials for various sheet metal components of vehicles have changed into the high strength steel, aluminum, and titanium blank having low formability. Uniform deformation over the whole region is a main advantage in the sheet hydroforming process. Because upper and lower parts could be produced simultaneously with one tool, hydroforming of sheet metal pairs is competitive in reducing the lead-time and development cost. In this paper, the multi-stage hydroforming process of sheet pair is proposed in order to increase the formability of a structural part like the oil pan shape. The upper die for forming oil pan shape is divided into two parts which can move separately. By the finite element simulation, the design parameters such as geometry of the tool and detailed specification of hydraulic pump were calculated and verified. For the strict comparison of the proposed process, the blank holding force is kept to a constant value during deformation by hydraulic valve. The deformed shape and strain distribution of the manufactured parts with the proposed process are compared with the results of simulation. In the multi-stage hydroforming process, maximum thickness strain was improved by more than 30 percent.

  • 유압 펌프 또는 모터, 특히 레이디얼피스톤형 모터, 용 분배기는 동적인 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 양면이 완전히 똑같이 가공된 회전부재와 이 부재의 양면에 동적평형을 보조할 수 있도록 표면에 가공된 형상이 동일한 2개의 고정부재와 이 2개의 고정부재의 간격유지를 위하여 회전부재주위에 사각의 단면적을 갖는 원형링으로 이루어져 있다. 회전부재는 기본적으로 밸브부를 가지고 있으며 평형상태를 보조하기위해 밸브부의 외주에 정압베어링을 설치할 수도 있다. 2개의 고정 부재중 1개는 몇 개의 단이 있는 부재인데 이는 압력상승에 의한 볼트의 인장을 보상하기 위해 밸브케이싱과 축방향의 이동이 가능하도록 하기 위한 방법이다.

  • In order to enable fail-safe operation the electro-hydrostatic actuators can be dualized. When a symmetrical actuator is combined in series with an asymmetrical actuator with single rod cylinder, the flow rates of their cylinders are unmatched. If their position controller has same configuration, one of their pumps can supply too much flow rate under particular load conditions, which should be bypassed into low pressure side e.g. by a relief valve. In this paper it is shown how the hydraulic circuit for the asymmetrically combined electro-hydrostatic actuator can be designed without sacrificing power consumption.

  • This study is a first step toward reducing surge pressure, and it has another purpose, which is to developing an analysis model which can closely analyze a hydraulic circuit and be used in design. For development of analysis model, SimulationX, a commercial program, is used. The study progress methods are as follows. By analyzing the structure and operating mechanisms of each part of the hydraulic system of the pump truck and referring its parameters, develop a single component model. Assemble the developed single component model, and make an overall analysis the model. By comparing the similarities between the developed model and the actual system's test results, validate the reliability of the analysis model.

스크롤 컴프레서 팁실의 마찰특성 (Friction Characteristics of the Tip Seal in a Scroll Compressor)

  • The basic elements in a rotary-type scroll compressor are two identical spiral scrolls containing refrigerant gas. The pressure variations in the compression pockets of a scroll compressor change the forces acting on the orbiting scroll, and these forces affect the dynamic behavior of the compression mechanism parts. To achieve high efficiency, using a self-sealing mechanism as a tip seal mechanism is very effective. Tip seals, which are placed on top of the scroll wraps, accomplish thrust sealing. This study calculates the friction force between the tip seal and the side plate of a scroll compressor using the numerical model considered in the Reynolds equation. The calculated friction force is verified by an experiment using a pin-on-disk apparatus. A hydraulic servo valve that controls the pressure of the oil hydraulic cylinder applies the normal load for the test, and a DC servo motor controls the sliding velocity of the disk. The friction force and normal load are measured by the force sensors attached to the supporting parts. The results show that the theoretical and experimental results are similar and that the friction is influenced by the viscosity of the oil and the sliding velocity of the scroll.

Comparison of three small-break loss-of-coolant accident tests with different break locations using the system-integrated modular advanced reactor-integral test loop facility to estimate the safety of the smart design

  • Three small-break loss-of-coolant accident (SBLOCA) tests with safety injection pumps were carried out using the integral-effect test loop for SMART (System-integrated Modular Advanced ReacTor), i.e., the SMART-ITL facility. The types of break are a safety injection system line break, shutdown cooling system line break, and pressurizer safety valve line break. The thermal-hydraulic phenomena show a traditional behavior to decrease the temperature and pressure whereas the local phenomena are slightly different during the early stage of the transient after a break simulation. A safety injection using a high-pressure pump effectively cools down and recovers the inventory of a reactor coolant system. The global trends show reproducible results for an SBLOCA scenario with three different break locations. It was confirmed that the safety injection system is robustly safe enough to protect from a core uncovery.

  • Hydrostatic transmission (HST) comprises rotary parts, shafts, valve plate, swashplate, and servo pistons. Ensuring structural stability of each part of an HST has a significant impact on product safety. In this study, the structural stability of HST in agricultural machinery and industrial vehicles was analyzed using ANSYS software. For conservative evaluation, high-pressure conditions (35.5 MPa and 2 MPa pilot pressure) were applied as load conditions. The number of grids used in the calculations ranged from 0.4 to 0.8 million depending on modeling requirements. Structural analysis was performed for essential parts and safety factor was analyzed. All major parts of HST had a safety factor of ≥ 1.5. Thus, they were judged to be structurally safe. This study provides important information for designing an HST system.

상수관 파괴시 관망의 부분적 격리를 고려한 피해범위 산정 (An evaluation of the pipe failure impact in a water distribution system considering subsystem isolation)

  • 기존의 상수관 파괴로 인한 피해 영역의 산정에서는 파괴된 관만을 피해영역으로 고려하였으나 이는 파괴된 관만이 차폐되었을 경우에만 정확하다 할 수 있다. 차폐에 이용되는 밸브의 배치에 따라 추가로 더 많은 관들이 파괴된 관과 함께 차폐가 될 수 있으며 Walski에 의하여 제안된 segment 개념으로 이러한 추가적인 관의 차폐를 고려할 수 있는 방법이 Jun에 의해서 개발되었다. 그러나, segment 개념으로 찾아질 수 있는 피해영역보다 더 많은 부분이 관 파괴의 영향을 받을 수 있으며, 이는 관들의 연결형상에 의한 차폐와 용수 수요지점에서 적정한 압력수두를 확보하지 못하여 발생하는 추가적인 피해에 기인한다 본 연구에서는 밸브의 위치에 따른 추가적인 피해영역과 함께 관들의 연결형상 그리고 압력수두에 따른 피해를 순차적으로 고려할 수 있는 방법을 제안하여 제안된 방법을 실제 상수관망에 적용하여 적용성을 검토한다 실제 상수관망에 적용한 결과 한 개의 상수관 파괴에 의한 피해 영역이 밸브위치와 용수노선의 설계에 따라 많은 지역에 피해를 발생시킬 수 있음을 보여 주고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안된 방법을 적용하여 산정된 상수관 파괴에 따른 피해영역이 현실을 정확히 반영함을 알 수 있었다.

농업용 트랙터의 프론트 로더 충격 저감을 위한 유압 회로의 설계 개선 (Improved Design of Hydraulic Circuit of Front-end Loader for Bump Shock Reduction of an Agricultural Tractor)

  • A front-end loader (FEL) mounted on an agricultural tractor is one of the most commonly used implements to mechanize routine agricultural tasks. When the FEL is used with a loaded bucket, careful operation is required to maintain safety and avoid spillage when the tractor passes a bump because a change in the gravity center of the tractor due to varied loadings can affect the stability of the tractor. Use of a boom suspension system consisting of accumulators and orifice dampers can be instrumental in reducing pitching vibrations while increasing the handling performance of the FEL-mounted tractor. The objective of this research was to reduce bump shocks by adding an orifice and a flow control valve to the original hydraulic circuit composed solely of accumulators. A simulation study was performed using the SimulationX program to investigate the effects of an accumulator and an orifice-throttle damper on bump shocks. Results showed that the peak pressure on a boom cylinder and the vertical acceleration of a bucket were significantly affected by use of both an accumulator and an orifice damper. In a field test conducted with a 75-kW tractor, the peak pressure of the boom cylinder, and the root mean square (RMS) vertical acceleration of the bucket and seat were reduced by on average, 23.0, 42.2, and 44.9% respectively, as compared to those measured with the original accumulator system, showing that an improved design for the accumulator hydraulic circuit can reduce bump shocks. Further studies are needed to design a tractor suspension system that includes the effects of cabin suspension and tires as well as dynamic analysis.

상수도 관망의 노드-파이프-밸브 사이의 상대적 위치 관계를 수립하기 위한 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of the algorithms for establishing the relative positional relations between node-pipe-valve of water pipe networks)

  • 관망의 세그먼트를 파악하기 위한 알고리즘을 구동시키기 위해서는 관망의 주요 구성요소들인 절점, 파이프, 및 밸브 간의 상대적인 위치 관계를 세그먼트 탐색 알고리즘의 입력정보로 준비해야 한다. 실제 지자체 관망에 존재하는 세그먼트를 보다 정확하게 파악하기 위해서는 관망 수리해석 프로그램 구동을 위해 모델링된 관망 정보를 이용하기 보다는, 모든 제수밸브가 포함된 지자체 상수도 관망 GIS/CAD 데이터베이스를 이용하여 세그먼트 탐색에 적합하게 재구성된 관망 정보를 이용할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 지자체 상수도 관망 GIS/CAD 데이터를 이용하여 관망 세그먼트 탐색에 적합한 노드-파이프-밸브 간의 상대적 위치관계를 수립할 수 있는 컴퓨터 계산 알고리즘을 개발하였으며, 이를 구현할 수 있는 MATLAB 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 MATLAB 프로그램을 국내 지자체 상수도 관망에 적용하여 그 실효성을 확인하였다.
