Both numerical analysis and experiment of cold and hot tests were performed to obtain basic design data for the swirl coaxial type Injector and to predict the combustion performance. Mass distribution, mixing distribution, mixing efficiency, characteristic velocity efficiency were measured by the cold tests and numerical analysis using the commercial thermo-hydraulic program. Test and analysis variables were recess, pressure drop, velocity ratio, mixing spray, mixture ratio. Hot tests were performed for the Uni-element injector to compare the performance with the cold test results, and, hot tests for Multi-element injector were performed to compare the performance with Uni-element injector. Designed thrust of the Uni-element injector liquid rocket was 35kgf at sea level and combustion chamber pressure, 20bar. Kerosene and Lox were used as a propellant.
1.6 MW class supersonic partial admission impulse turbine has been designed and tested in Korea Aerospace Research Institute for the liquid rocket engine application. The test has been performed using a high pressure air source facility in KARI. For the turbine power absorption, a hydraulic dynamometer has been used. Appropriate similarity relations are used for the determination of test condition. Various settings of turbine pressure ratio and rotational speed are tested to investigate global turbine characteristics. From measured data, parameters related to the turbine design are derived and validated.

In this paper, the piezoelectric-hydraulic pump with a piezostack actuator as a driving source has been designed, fabricated, and evaluated for its application to UAV's brake system. The performance requirements of the piezoelectric-hydraulic pump were decided based on the requirements analysis of the target aircraft brake system. The geometric design of the piezoelectric-hydraulic pump to meet the performance requirements of the pump was conducted, and all components of the pump including the spring sheet type check valves were machined with close tolerance. By constructing a test apparatus for the performance check of the piezoelectric-hydraulic pump, the performance characteristics of the pump, such as the outlet flow rate for load-free condition and the outlet oil pressure for closed loop condition, have been evaluated. It has been found by the performance test result that the developed piezoelectric-hydraulic pump satisfies the design requirements effectively.

The government has announced its Hydrogen Economy Roadmap to strengthen global competitiveness on the hydrogen economy by focusing on hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles and fuel cells. In this regard, the interest on the economics and safety of the infrastructure of hydrogen stations has also increased. In this study, a test bed similar to an actual hydrogen charging facility was built, and a prototype of a piston-type compressor was modeled. In this model, the piston was hydraulically compressed to progressively test leakage, leakage rate, and durability and to check for any malfunction. Moreover, the leakage rate, cylinder leak performance, and compressor operation durability were evaluated for safety; it was confirmed that there were no abnormalities. Nevertheless, an investigation of the long-term use and operating pressure of the compressor is necessary to verify the safety of developing a100-MPa domestic compressor in the future.
The temperature distribution of an electromagnetic pump was analyzed with a flow rate of 1380 L/min and a pressure of 4 bar designed for the sodium thermo-hydraulic test in the Sodium Test Loop for Safety Simulation and Assessment-Phase 1 (STELLA-1). The electromagnetic pump was used for the circulation of the liquid sodium coolant in the Intermediate Heat Transport System (IHTS) of the Prototype Gen-IV Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor (PGSFR) with an electric power of 150 MWe. The temperature distribution of the components of the electromagnetic pump was numerically analyzed to prevent functional degradation in the high temperature environment during pump operation. The heat transfer was numerically calculated using ANSYS Fluent for prediction of the temperature distribution in the excited coils, the electromagnet core, and the liquid sodium flow channel of the electromagnetic pump. The temperature distribution of operating electromagnetic pump was compared with cooling of natural and forced air circulation. The temperature in the coil, the core and the flow gap in the two conditions, natural circulation and forced circulation, were compared. The electromagnetic pump with cooling of forced circulation had better efficiency than natural circulation even considering consumption of the input power for the air blower. Accordingly, this study judged that forced cooling is good for both maintenance and efficiency of the electromagnetic pump.
The purpose of the study was to verify deduction of each coefficient necessary to analysis on micro-pressure waves and reliability of the analysis result. The tunnel running train model testing device used in the test was manufactured by scale of 1:60 and the study used a train model with ten cars long according to specifications of KTX model. The study applied tunnels with cross sections of $107.9m^3\;and\;95.1m^3$ and applied tunnel extensions with 1km, 0.75km and 0.5km. Also, the study tested train speed by changing it into 275, 300, 325 and 350km/h. The test device was a hydraulic launch system composed of a train model, a hydraulic launcher, a tunnel model and a brake. The study measured speed of a model trainby a speed sensor installed in the point of each 1.2m from the front of tunnel entrance and a pithead of tunnel exit and measured pressure change of internal tunnel continuously by installing pressure sensors in the entrance part of tunnel, in the middle part of tunnel and in the exit part of tunnel. As the result of the measurement, it was known that pressure slope of pressure wave happened in the entrance part of tunnel was increased by a nonlinear effect while spreading the tunnel or its pressure slope was reduced by diffusion. Also, the study compared and analyzed micro-pressure waves happened in the exit part of the tunnel by installing each kind of hoods in the entrance part of the tunnel to prevent reduction of micro-pressure waves.

Fuel-side cold-flow tests were performed on the technology demonstration model of a 75 ton-class liquid rocket engine combustion chamber for the first stage of the Korea space launch vehicle II. Pressure drop in the cooling channels of the combustion chamber was measured by changing fuel mass flow rate through a pressure regulating system. Pressure drop in each segment of the chamber could be obtained and a lot of pressure drop was caused by high flow velocity in the nozzle throat segment. The accuracy of a hydraulic analysis method for calculating a pressure loss in cooling channels could be verified by applying it to the cold-flow test conditions.

This paper present a procedure of meter-out flow control method for dump valve in full-scale airframe test. Emergency stop, which results in dump state, can be happened during full-scale airframe test by several causes. Because servo valve can't control hydraulics actuator in the dump state, pressure in cylinder chamber may rise abruptly and overload can be acted to the test article. In this paper, the procedure and technology of orifice setting are investigated to protect the test article from unexpected loads by dump. The test results show that the presented methods decrease peak loads and improve unloading characteristics of hydraulic actuators in the dump state.
