Hybrid Control with a Bang-Bang Type Controller (Bang-Bang 형태의 제어기를 갖는 복합제어)

  • This paper presents a hybrid (i.e., integrated passive-active) system for seismic response control of a cable-stayed bridge. Because multiple control devices are operating, a hybrid control system could alleviate some of the restrictions and limitations that exist when each system is acting alone. Lead rubber bearings are used as passive control devices to reduce the earthquake-induced forces in the bridge and hydraulic actuators are used as active control devices to further reduce the bridge responses, especially deck displacements. In the proposed hybrid control system, a linear quadratic Gaussian control algorithm is adopted as a primary controller. In addition, a secondary bang-bang type (i.e., on-off type) controller according to the responses of lead rubber bearings is considered to increase the controller robustness. Numerical simulation results show that control performances of the hybrid control system are superior to those of the passive control system and slightly better than those of the fully active control system. Furthermore, it is verified that the hybrid control system with a bang-bang type controller is more robust for stiffness perturbation than the active controller with μ-synthesis method and there are no signs of instability in the overall system whereas the active control system with linear quadratic Gaussian algorithm shows instabilities in the perturbed system. Therefore, the proposed hybrid protective system could effectively be used to seismically excited cable-stayed bridges.

  • Fabrications of metal-organic hybrid networks attracted much attention due to possible applications in gas storages, heterogeneous catalyses, information storages, and opto-electronic devices. One way to construct three-dimensional hybrid structures is to make the arrays of planar or linear metal-organic hybrid structures which are linked through electrostatic interactions. As a model study, we fabricated the arrays of one-dimensional hybrid chains and investigated inter-chain interactions between adjacent hybrid chains using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) on Ag(111). Brominated anthracene molecules were used to grow the arrays of hybrid chains on Ag(111). We proposed atomic models for the observed structures. Linear chains are made of repetition of Ag-anthracene units. Br atoms are attached to anthracene molecules through Br-H structures which mediate inter-chain interactions. Two different apparent heights were observed in anthracene molecules. Molecules having a Br-H connection look brighter than those with two connections due to electronic effect. When a chain is laterally manipulated with STM tip, Br atoms move together with the chain implying that Br-H inter-chain interactions are quite strong.

  • Economical consumption of energy, longer life of lamps, higher lighting comfort and new aesthetic of illumination is subject of numerous research and development works. The halogen lamps are an example of positive solution some of above mentioned problems. The electronic transformers are more frequent used for their supply. In comparison with conventional transformers they have less weight, less volume and 60% less power tosses. Their advantages are particular visible, when the hybrid technique is applied. The paper presents the results of engineering research and development works carried out ill Private Institute of Electronic Engineering, in R. & D. Center for Hybrid Microelectronics and Resistors and in Technical School of Communications in Krakow, in the field of the design and exploitation tests of hybrid converters 220V AC /12V DC (electronic transformers) and electronic ballasts destined for the supply of halogen lamps 20W to 150W and fluorescent lamps respectively. To perform the converters, thick film technology and surface mount technology were used. For the protection of converter electronic circuit the thick film temperature sensor and transistors were applied. Moreover the paper presents the base application circuits of elaborated converters, their technical parameters and exploitation results. The development perspectives of hybrid domain of hybrid circuits are also discussed.

  • 단기 강우 예측에는 주로 물리과정 기반 수치예보모델(NWPs, Numerical Prediction Models) 과 레이더 기반 확률론적 방법이 사용되어 왔으며, 최근에는 머신러닝을 이용한 레이더 기반 강우예측 모델이 단기 강우 예측에 뛰어난 성능을 보이는 것을 확인하여 관련 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 머신러닝 기반 모델은 예측 선행시간 증가 시 성능이 크게 저하되며, 또한 대기의 물리적 과정을 고려하지 않는 Black-box 모델이라는 한계점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 머신러닝 기반 blending 기법을 통해 물리과정 기반 수치예보모델인 Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF)와 최신 머신러닝 기법 (cGAN, conditional Generative Adversarial Network) 기반 모델을 결합한 Hybrid 강우예측모델을 개발하고자 하였다. cGAN 기반 모델 개발을 위해 1시간 단위 1km 공간해상도의 레이더 반사도, WRF 모델로부터 산출된 기상 자료(온도, 풍속 등), 유역관련 정보(DEM, 토지피복 등)를 입력 자료로 사용하여 모델을 학습하였으며, 모델을 통해 물리 정보 및 머신러닝 기반 강우 예측을 생성하였다. 이렇게 생성된cGAN 기반 모델 결과와 WRF 예측 결과를 결합하는 머신러닝 기반 blending 기법을 통해Hybrid 강우예측 결과를 최종적으로 도출하였다. 본 연구에서는 Hybrid 강우예측 모델의 성능을 평가하기 위해 수도권 및 안동댐 유역에서 발생한 호우 사례를 기반으로 최대 선행시간 6시간까지 모델 예측 결과를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 물리과정 기반 모델과 머신러닝 기반 모델을 결합하는 Hybrid 기법을 적용하여 높은 정확도와 신뢰도를 가지는 고해상도 강수 예측 자료를 생성할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • TOE(TCP/IP Offload Engine)은 호스트 CPU가 아닌 네트워크 어댑터 상에서 TCP/IP 프로토콜을 처리하여 호스트 CPU의 부하를 줄이는 기술이다. TOE의 구현 방안으로는 임베디드 프로세서를 사용하여 TCP/IP를 처리하는 소프트웨어적인 구현 방법과 TCP/IP의 모든 기능을 하드웨어로 구현하는 접근 방법이 제안되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 하드웨어적인 접근 방법과 소프트웨어적인 접근 방법을 결합한 Hybrid TOE 구조를 개발하기 위해 FPGA와 ARM 프로세서에 기반한 프로토타입을 개발하였다. Hybrid TOE는 많은 작업 부하로 인하여 임베디드 프로세서 상에서 성능을 확보하기 어려운 기능들은 하드웨어로 구현하고, 연결 설정과 같이 통신의 성능에 큰 영향을 끼치지 않는 기능들은 임베디드 프로세서 상에서 소프트웨어로 처리한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 실험을 통해 Hybrid TOE 프로토타입이 호스트 CPU 상에 발생하는 부하를 줄임을 입증하고, 하드웨어 구현을 통해 통신의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보였다.

  • In this study, the concrete in which the hybrid fiber with different volume and rate was intermixed in high fluidity concrete. However, Fiber Ball is frequently caused by the decrease in the dispersion of the fiber. The research has been conducted primarily study of single fiber or hybrid fiber, such as different length of single fiber. Therefore, we investigate the mechanical properties of concrete was mixed with a combination of various fibers been produced domestically. Its purpose being to provide basic data for evaluating the impact hybrid fibers on the fluidity of concrete.

  • Hybrid rocket had many advantage with compared to solid and liquid rockets. In this study, swirl flow hybrid motor was designed and manufactured. And the methods of regression rate improvement wire considered. Thrust was calculated with pressure of the combustion chamber and the regression rate was measured in low flow rate of oxidizer. Several problems and solutions of operating hybrid rocket was presented.

  • In this paper, for digital x-ray conversion receptor development studied by hybrid technology of based on CdZnTe. For this study, First searched fabricate method of CdZnTe x-ray receptor. Second, search the phosphor material & fabricate method for scintillator layer. Fabricated sample is analyzed with physical & electric measurement. This result is showed good SNR ratio hybrid thechnology with direct method & indirect method. In this paper offer the method can reduce the dark-current in the hybrid X-ray detector.

  • The effect of each tooth for optimal design of Hybrid permanent magnet step motor is presented on this paper. For this consideration, Hybrid permanent magnet step motor was designed in the first consideration tooth structure on the stator and the rotor and poles structure, as number of teeth on the stator and the rotor and slot depth and pitch of teeth, simulated by AutoLISP. During actual rotating, a chracteristic of Hybrid permanent magnet step motor which designed by AutoLISP program is considered. A chracteristic of Hybrid permanent magnet step motor is considered in change each variable, also. As a result, it was found that characteristic of Hybrid permanent magnet step motor changed in accordance with tooth structure and number of teeth and optimal design is possible by AutoLISP.

  • In this paper, to solve the defect of stand-alone type power system in a remote area, a hybrid power system with photovoltaic/wind/diesel generators is proposed. A hybrid power system has a power-balanced controller to equilibrate generation power with a given load demand and which is composed of common DC power system. To execute a power-balanced control, a hybrid power system is assumed that all of power generators have the characteristics of an equivalent current-source and load sharing control technique must be needed at the same time. So this paper describes the algorithm of interactive technique for design of a hybrid power system.
