The first paper on the floodplain in Korea was published in the late 1960s. In 1970s and 1980s the study on the floodplain and delta of Korea was led by Hyuck Jae Kwon(emeritus professor at Korea University) and Hwa-Ryong Jo(emeritus professor at Kyungpook National University). Kwon established the foundation of the study and Jo analyzed the alluvial landforms microscopically. Since 1990s, the study on the floodplain and delta has entered a phase of stagnation.

In this study, as the passing of a year, the changes of tidal flat area in Seohan Bay, North Korea was monitored through using Landsat ETM Data and the ancient topological map. The map to present tidal flat distribution characteristic based on the ancient topographical map (1918) was constructed as GIS DB. In addition, a tidal flat distribution map was estimated by using the satellite images with unsupervised classification method. Even though it is difficult to approach to study area, it was possible to gain the data and to monitor the change of the coast tidal flat by comparing to area change yielded.

Objective : The Purpose of this research is to examine the effect of Sa-am acupuncture treatment(Sim-seungkyuk) for major symptoms of Hwa-byung. Method : In this randomized, single blind, placebo-controlled study, we compared active acupuncture with sham acupuncture in the treatment for major symptoms of Hwa-byung. likert scale(5 score) for major symptom of Hwa-byung was measured as the 1st evaluative instrument, and STAXI-K, STAI-K, BDI-K and HRV were also measured as the 2nd evaluative instrument at the before treatment and after treatment. Results : 26 volunteers participated in this study by dividing two groups, each 13 persons in trial group and control group at random. In comparison of likert scale for major symptoms, after treatment the total score of likert scale for major symptoms decreased significantly in both group than before treatment. And after treatment, the total score of trial group decreased less than those of control group in comparison between two groups. especially after 2 weeks from all treatment, there was significant difference between two groups. Conclusion : We considered that Shim-seungkyuk of Sa-am acupuncture treatment will be not recommended to treatment of Hwa-byung because this study could not prove effect of Shim-seungkyuk treatment for Hwa-hyung in spite of preliminary study. This study will be used to provide a fundamental data for development of clinical research as preliminary study of Hwa-byung.

A Prototype reaction wheel, named the Hankuk Aviation University (HAU) reaction wheel, has been developed for KAISTSAT satellite series. Torque and force disturbances are inherent in reaction wheels, and thus the force and torque characteristics should be examined for every newly developed reaction wheel. The torque and force disturbance noises in the prototype HAU reaction wheel are measured with a torque-measuring table developed for the present study. A new measuring procedure based on a simple principle is applied for the measurements. The frequency characteristics of the torque and force noises are analyzed by examining the power spectral density. The effect of the torque noise on the attitude stability is also examined through numerical simulations with a single-axis attitude model. The noise-induced attitude error and jitter and found to be well below the specified error limits for the KAISTSAT satellite series.

본 연구는 산경표에 기초한 최근 한국 산맥논의를 검토하였다. 산경표는 풍수지리학에 기초를 둔 우리나라 전통 산맥 체계로 분수계 체계이다. 이 체계에 기초를 둔 논의들은 하천이 산맥을 절단하고 있는 것을 받아드리지 못하며, 이 체계의 중심 맥인 백두대간은 많은 기원이 다른 산맥들을 연결하여 이름하고 있다. 지형학에서 산맥은 구조 운동이나 차별 침식의 결과로 형성된 산지의 선적 배열이다. 같은 원인에 의하여 형성된 산지의 선적 배열을 하나의 산맥으로 이름을 부여하고, 형성 원인이 다르거나 방향성이 다른 것을 합쳐서 하나의 산맥으로 이름 하지 않는다. 지형학에서 정의되는 산맥은 선행 하천에 의해 절단될 수 있고, 분수계 이동 현상도 일어나기 때문에 산맥이 분수계와 일치하는 것은 아니다. 따라서 백두대간이란 이름은 우리나라의 상징성을 표현할 때 사용하고, 교과서에서는 우리나라의 지형을 설명할 때는 기존의 산맥체계를 사용해야 할 것으로 본다.
