The impact time history of human body with K2 rifle on stand shooting posture is analyzed and compared with experimental results. Analysis model is Korean 50% tile of twenties and height, weight is 174 cm, 62 kgf respectively. The muscle and bone human model of Korean man's twenties 50% tile is applied. ADAMS program is used for kinematic analysis and human model is developed by Life Mod program. The effect of the ground support condition, grip position and human weight factor are studied. Maximum impact force of shoulder is 784 N. The horizontal displacement of K2 rifle muzzle is 2.9 cm.
The effect of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) on circulating insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) in the Korean rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli, was assessed after injected of recombinant human IGF-I (6 $\mu$g/100 g body weight). Growth and metabolic status of each fish were assessed by determing body length and body weight changes, and serum glucose concentration. Serum IGF binding proteins concentrations were assessed by the Western ligand blot procedure using $^{125}I$-labeled human IGF-I tracer. The fish received IGF-I were Heavier than the saline-injected control fish after 2 weeks of treatment. Plasma IGFBP-3 concentration inclosed, but plasma IGFBP-1 and glucose levels decreased significantly after administration. Taken together, the findings of this study suggest that human IGF-I is biologically active in Korean rockfish and may be of significance in metabolic and growth-related processes.
Effects of titrated extract of Centella asiatica (TECA) and epidermal growth factor (EGF) isolated from the urine of pregnant horse on the proliferation of human epidermal keratinocyte in culture were studied. An increase in the number of keratinocyte was observed with the treatment of TECA at the concentration ranges from 1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mι to 100 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mι. Effects of low molecular weight EGF (LEGF) and high molecular weight EGF (HEGF) on the proliferation of keratinocyte in culture were also studied. The number of keratinocyte in culture was significantly increased with LEGF and HEGF respectively at the concentration of 10 ng/mι. Simultaneous treatment of the keratinocyte with LEGF, HEGF and TECA led to the increased proliferation of keratinocytes resulting 96% of the effect of a positive control, EGF isolated from mouse submaxillary glands.

The purpose of this review is to name and describe the important factors of musculoskeletal strain originating from pushing and pulling tasks such as cart handling that are commonly found in industrial contexts. A literature database search was performed using the research platform Web of Science. For a study to be included in this review differences in measured or calculated strain had to be investigated with regard to: (1) cart weight/ load; (2) handle position and design; (3) exerted forces; (4) handling task (push and pull); or (5) task experience. Thirteen studies met the inclusion criteria and proved to be of adequate methodological quality by the standards of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. External load or cart weight proved to be the most influential factor of strain. The ideal handle positions ranged from hip to shoulder height and were dependent on the strain factor that was focused on as well as the handling task. Furthermore, task experience and subsequently handling technique were also key to reducing strain. Workplace settings that regularly involve pushing and pulling should be checked for potential improvements with regards to lower weight of the loaded handling device, handle design, and good practice guidelines to further reduce musculoskeletal disease prevalence.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the body type of children's, especially torso, and to provide the fundamental data for children's clothing construction which can reflect the characteristics of their bodies. The subjects for photographic measurements are 308 elementary school children aged from 6 to 8 living in Seoul and urban area. Anthropometric measurements were performed indirectly from the pictures of subjects. The data were analyzed statistically using SPSSWIN. The results obtained from this study are as follows: 1. Through one-way ANOVA, items for heights, breaths, weight reveals the significant differences according to ages and genders. 2. Through Pearson correlation, it turns out that there are high correlation between any items of heights, but there is no correlation for item of shoulder inclination with any other items. 3. Through factor analysis of principal component model, six factors were extracted which covers 83.6% of the whole information. The first factor represents the items of heights which relates with linearity. The second factor describes the items of breaths, depths, and weight in relation with laterality. The third factor were gathered with depths of front and back in relation with posture of side, which proves as important one to characterize the children's torso. The other factors represents the items of posture of neck, depths in neck, shoulder inclination, respectively. 4. Through one-way ANOVA in factor by group, and Scheffe multi comparison test for each group, the factor 1 that is related with linearity reveals the significant differences according to ages and genders.
Administration route dependency on the distribution of PEGylated recombinant human turor necrosis factor binding protein (rhTNFbp-PEG20K dimer) was observed following a subcutaneous (sc) and an intravenous (iv) administrationin rats. ehTNFbp-PEG20K dimer is composed of two rhTNGbp molecules (molecular weight 18, 278 daltons each) joined by polyethylene glycol 2000(PEG30K). The steady state distribution volume of rhTNFbp-PEG20K was 55 m/kg and 359 ml/kg following the i.v. and s.c. administrations, respectively. These results suggest that the distribution of ehTNFbp-PEG20K is limited within the cpillary space after i.v. administration, while rhTNFbp-PEG20K can distribute into a space (35.9% of body weight) which is between extracellylar space and total body water. A lymphatic absorption may paly a role in the distribution of rhTNFbp-PEF20K dimer following the sc administration. The present study suggests that the administration route of a lartge protein molecule should be determined depedning upon target sites.
The purpose of this study was to identify the shoes satisfaction and selection criteria according to women's BMI. Data was collected from 323 women in their 20-40's. Factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Chi-square test, and multi regression analysis were done. Women were segmented into the under weight group, the regular weight group, and the over weight group according to their BMI. The factors of shoes selection criteria were fit and practicality, appearance, fashion and brand, materials and sewing, comfort and economy, and size. Generally most women were satisfied with the styles of shoes but dissatisfied with materials and size. The underweight group's foot was shorter and narrower, shoes was shorter and heel height was higher but the over weight group was opposite. The under weight group were satisfied with higher heel and comfort and practical shoes. The regular weight group were satisfied with higher heel and comfort and economy shoes but the over weight group was dissatisfied with higher heel and comfort and economy shoes.
The 1st development of "Human Powered Aircraft(HPA)" in Korea has been conducting by KAFA(Korea Air Force Academy) from Aug. 2008 to now. HPA is an aircraft powered by directly human energy. The thrust provided by the human power may be the only source and that is weak. Therefore, light weight and strong structure is first requirement. In this paper, treating a basic conceptual design of HPA and material property and material choice for HPA. Also analysing the structure and checking the safety of HPA.
YHB6211, a newly developed recombinant human granulocyte colonystimulating factor, was administered at dose levels of 0, 3, 15, and 75 $\mu$g/kg/day intravenously to the pregnant New Zealand White rabbits (20 rabbits per group) during the organogenetic period, days 6 to 18 of gestation. All dams were subjected to Caesarian section on day 28 of gestation and their fetuses were examined for external, visceral, and skeletal abnormalities. No abnormalities in clinical signs, body weight changes, gross findings, mortality, and external appearance were found in all dams and fetuses exposed to 0, 3, and 15 $\mu$g/kg/day of YHB6211. However, in the group treated with 75 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg/day of YHB6211, maternal body and uterine weights, fetal body weights and length, and the number of live fetuses were significantly decreased and further fetal mortality was remarkably increased. It is suggested that YHB6211 may have no side effect up to the dose level of 15 $\mu$g/kg/day, and there would be no teratogenicity for fetuses of rabbits up to 75 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg/day even if it may have some toxic effects over 75$\mu\textrm{g}$/kg/day for dams and fetuses of rabbits.
Human Carcinogenic Potency (HCP) can be estimated based on human daily exposure dose to carcinogen (Dh), body weight (Wh), 10% tumorigenic dose (TD10), and slope factor at TD10 (Q10) from 2-yr bioassay data. This approach is more relevant to humans generally exposed to low doses of carcinogens and can reduce more of extrapolation errors from high dose in animal experiments to low dose in humans than HERP (human exposure dose/rodent potency dose) proposed by Ames et al. (Science, 236, 271-280, 1987). TD50 and HERP have been routinely used to compare rodent carcinogenic potency and human carcinogenic potency, but those approaches have had limitations in extrapolation of high dose to low dose in humans. The advantages of HCP are to estimate human exposure dose (Dh) by human monitoring instead of environmental monitoring, to consider slope factor (Q10) which reflects the tendency of curve at low dose, and to use TD10 which represents much lower dose thant TD50 or HERP. HCP will be a useful parameter for the estimation of human carcinogenic potency in risk assessment and management of carcinogens.
