The acute toxicity of recombinant human epidermal growth factor, DWP-401 was evaluated in ICR mice of both sexes. Six groups of mice were administered orally or subcutaneously with 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/kg of DWP-401. Abnormal clinical signs related to the compound were not observed, and no deaths occurred. Gross findings of necropsy revealed no evidence of specific toxicity related to DWP-401. LD$_{50}$ values for both male and female mice were evaluated to be over 2 mg/kg, which is approximately 2, 000 fold of presumed clinical dose.e.
The acute toxicity of recombinant human epidermal growth factor, DWP-401 was evaluated in SD rats. Male and female rats aging 6 weeks were administered orally or subcutaneously with 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/kg of DWP-401. No deaths and no toxic symptoms related to the DWP-401 were observed. The body weights of treated animals were not significantly different from the controls. The results of necropsy revealed no abnormal gross findings of the organs in treated animals. LD50 values of DWP-401 for male and female rats were estimated to be over 2 mg/kg, which is approximately 2, 000 times of expected clinical dose.
DWP401, a recombinant human epidermal growth factor, was subcutaneously administered to ICR mice at the dose levels of 0, 0.04, 0.2 and 1.0 mg/kg/day (15rats/sex/group) in order to evaluate the subchronic toxicity. General observations, examinations for food and water consumption, ophthalmoscopy and urinalysis were carried out during the study. For the complete gross and microscopic examinations, 10 mice/ sex/group were sacrificed at the ends of the dosing period, and the remaining animals were sacrificed with a 5 week recovery period. Examinations for hematology and blood biochemistry were also carried out at the time of recovery period. Based on the results, it was thought that the target tissue or organs were mesothelial cell, injection site, spleen, adrenal gland, ovary and transitional epithelial cell of urinary tract, and no observed toxic level of DWP401 was 0.04 mg/kg while definite toxic dose level might be 0.2 mg/kg.

This study was conducted to assess the effect of heptapeptide, composed of seven amino acids, on the activation of human hair cells isolated from human hair follicles. We have confirmed that the heptapeptide could bind to Lgr5 from the results of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) analysis. Heptapeptide enhanced the proliferation of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells (HHFDPCs) in a dose dependent manner. It induced the protein level of nuclear β-catenin, and the expressions of β-catenin downstream target genes, including LEF1, Cyc-D1 and c-Myc, in HHFDPCs. Heptapeptide significantly induced the phosphorylation of Akt and ERK, and the mRNA expressions of growth factors, including hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), in HHFDPCs. In addition, heptapeptide significantly increased mRNA expression levels of differentiation-related transcription factors of human hair germinal matrix cells (HHGMCs) and differentiation markers of human hair outer root sheath cells (HHORSCs). Additionally, we investigated the effect of heptapeptide on human hair follicle stem cells (HHFSCs) differentiation and found that the heptapeptide reduced the mRNA and protein levels of stem cell markers, while it increased those levels of differentiation markers. These results have indicated that the heptapeptide promotes proliferation or differentiation of various types of hair follicle constituent cells through the induction of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. From the results, we have suggested that the heptapeptide in this study could be applied as a new functional material for the improvement of hair growth and alopecia.
The purpose of this study is to extract typical body shapes of Korean adults based on the three-dimensional Korean anthropometric data measured through 5th national anthropometric survey and to examine the suitability of the 3-D human shape data for the interior packaging. 36 three-dimensional anthropometric variables related to the design of vehicle interior were considered for the appraisal of typical body shapes. Four major factors were extracted by the factor analysis and factor scores were calculated for all subjects. Typical or standard drivers of Korean adults were selected by the minimum deviation criteria for the four factor scores with respect to 5th, 50th, and 95th percentiles, respectively. Typical drivers of Korean adults were visualized by the CATIA-HUMAN program due to the absence of proper application software for three-dimensionally scanned human body data. There are considerable differences between the anthropometric data of Korean adults and those provided by CATIA-HUMAN program, which shows that the modeling data provided by CATIA-HUMAN should not be directly applied to the ergonomic evaluation for the vehicle design. This suggests the necessity for the development of suitable software for scanned human shape data. It is also expected that the anthropometric data of typical drivers extracted from this study help design package layouts and improve the suitability of ergonomic evaluation for Korean customers.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between core factor of Knowledge Management(KM) and organizational effectiveness. The objects of study are middle manager in hosing construction and civil engineering and construction industry, and the sample size is 228. The core factor of KM and indicator of organizational effectiveness are drawn by literature survey. The core factors are classified into human capital, organizational capital, structural capital, (to put it concretely), job capability, human relation, strategy, information technology, process, sharing culture, leadership, measurement. The indicator of organizational effectiveness are measured by job satisfaction, organization loyalty, competitiveness. The main results of this study can be summarized as the following. 1) The core factor of KM has a positive relationship to organizational effectiveness. Especially, the core factor of sharing culture and leadership are strongly relationship with organizational effectiveness. 2) There was a high positive correlation between job satisfaction and organization loyalty. 3) Human, structural, and structural capital had a different affect on organizational effectiveness. 4) The more job position and educational level high, the more they recognized that KM is necessary for their organization. 5) Among the success factor in KM, the factor of job capability was well perceived to respondent. According to this study, we can analyzed the relationship between success factor and organizational effectiveness, and drawn the most influence success factor on organizational effectiveness. Concurrently, the results of this study will be useful guidelines for shaping the KM operation framework in construction industry.
It is desirable that the management of human resources, as a strategy for the competition, should be the necessity for the hotel industries to survive in the rapid change and continuous development In other words, the management of enterprise provides the foundation to form human relationship, just as the hospitality industry operates with human relationship. Here by, all the problems out hotels have faced are that our hotels should look for a new human resources. The control of human resources in hotels means that if does not only satisfy hotels, employees, and guests but improves the personal ability. also it is important for the method of hotel operation as a management. Therefor, hotel managers have to get a good human resources, at the same time, improve the potential ability from them in order to get development for industries and a person. This study in the effective project for the human resources in hotels is relation to the organization of hotel sand he factor of human resources. This research if focused on the property of classification each factor in the control of human resources. according to the classification, the relationship and an effect are commonly made in groups of properties and are named respectively.
Currently, many companies are interested in (Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Nonetheless, technical imperfection and the uncertainty of Return on Investment (ROD is discouraging the companies' intention to implement RFID. Accordingly, while a number of companies concede the efficiency of RFID, few of them expresses enthusiasm, making a rain check to adopt RFID. Moreover, the recent economic depression has down-sized the companies' investment on Information Technology (IT), subsequently hindering RFID implementation. In adopting RFID, the collaboration of supply chain is the most importance factor. Therefore, in implementing RFID, many companies reinforced collaboration of supply chain. Therefore, this study will focus on performing an analysis on several factors which influence the intention to adoption of RFID, such as the human factor, technology factor, vender factor and task factor. The results of this study will provide useful guidelines for RFID adoption strategy to Korean companies.
Human blood clotting (coagulation) factor 9 cDNA which codes for 461 amino acid has been cloned by screening human fetal liver cDNA library using PCR. This 1.4 kb cDNA spanning from the ATG initiation codon to the TAA termination codon was cloned into bacterial .expression vector pGEX-2T, generating pGEX-F9 plasmid. The plasmid pGEX-F9 expresses about 73 kDa GST (Glutathione S-transferase)-Factor 9 fusion protein when introduced into E. coli. Western blot analysis using polyclonal antibody raised against human factor 9 confirmed this fusion protein contains factor 9 protein. The level of GST-factor 9 expression was about 20% of total protein and the purification of fusion protein was efficiently achieved by using GST agarose bead based on one step purification protocol.
Chemical Process industry in Korea has over 30 year's of history and is likely to face potential incidents. The traditional risk analysis and control system in Chemical Process industry focuses on mechanical defects, overlooking the human performance control. Although development of automation technology and controlling technology was necessary, human decision factor is essential to preventing accidents in the Chemical Process. Almost all serious accidents take place when inappropriate humanperformance and mechanical defects of safety equipments simultaneously occurs. The AHRA(Advanced Human Reliability Analyzer) software has been developed to collect failure data and analyze human error probability (Reliability) in Chemical Process Industry in Korea. This paper describes the HRA analysis result of PIF(Performance Influencing Factor) evaluation, HEP(Human Error Probability) and root cause of accidents by applying a Chemical Process Industry related accident data. This analysis result should present a scheme that, by controlling human error factor other than putting safety management funds into the machinery in plants, can reduce cost and maximize the safety in Chemical Process Industry.
