이 논문은 지속가능한 발전(또는 개발)에서 지속가능성 개념을 생태윤리적인 측면에서 지속가능성이 가지는 의미를 분석해보고, 생태윤리에서 지속가능성의 특징을 제시하고 있다. 생태적 지속가능성에 대한 논의에서 우선 지속성과 변화를 대립의 관계로 보는 것이 아니라 서로 중첩될 수 있는 관계로 보아야 하며, 생태적 지속성에서 '생태적'의 의미는 관계성으로 이해되어야 한다. 지속성이란 변화하는 어떤 것과 그것의 변화하지 않는 것과의 관계로 규정된다고 하겠다. 그리고 생태적 지속가능성이란 변화하는 생태계를 구성하는 존재(혹은 존재자들의 관계)와 그것의 변화하지 않는 생태계 존재 전체(내지 총체적 관계)의 관계라고 정의 내려져야 한다. 따라서 생태적 지속가능성에서는 인간과 생태계라는 두 축의 관점에서 상호의존성(network), 지속성(sustainablity), 책임성(responsibility)의 3 요소, 즉 인간과 자연의 상호의존, 생태적 관계의 지속, 그리고 이에 대한 인간의 책임이 중요하다. 그리고 생태적 지속가능성의 의미에서 존재와 존재관계의 지속, 변화하는 지속가능성, 존재의 비존재에 대한 우위, 생명들 간의 연대성에 의거한 상호의존성이 중시되어야 할 가치가 된다.

This study was done to provide an understanding of nursing in relation to the existential philosophy of the West and Buddhistic philosophy, It examined how human beings and death are interpreted and understood in existential philosophy as well as in Buddhistic philosophy. Then the study suggested that nursing should focus on helping the sufferer to find meaning and a sense of responsibility in his or her existence. When people have the opportunity to realize certain important but painful truths about their existence, they develop internal strength and control of their lives. Just as people learn to face their being, so can they come to terms with their non-being. According to the causal process in Buddhism, Human Being is not always annihilation of self. Therefore, birth, aging, disease and death go through the process of natural change and it is the appearance of human existence which is inherent in the health of every human being. To promote our health we must gain an insight about this phenomenon. This study viewed nurses' clients as 〈good friend〉 rather than 〈patient〉 which focuses on a disease-oriented concept. The concept of 〈good friend〉 views nurses' clients as active participants to create their life and as responsible persons in a constantly changing life. The study also examined the concept of recovery which means to come back to the previous healthy state and it suggested that the concept of recovery should be changed to 〈good change〉, because in existential philosophy, human beings are viewed as never going back to the past but moving on to the future by creating their existence. This study also suggested that nursing should help 〈good friend〉enlighten their existence to be free from pain and death and to get control over their existence.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to review research papers published by Korean research groups on biophoton of human beings based on experiment subject and methodology. Methods : In order to review human biophoton research executed in Korea, all the papers published in Korean and international journals by Korean research groups were selected. Several key foreign papers were also reviewed for clarification of this study. Based on experiment subjects, experiment methodology, and interpretation of experiment results were analyzed. On each experiment, its original interpretation was directly quoted. Issues on the experiment methodology and interpretation were expressed at the end of each subject. Results and Conclusions : We found that experiments on human biophoton were compelling. However it seemed that more experiments, especially on their sample sizes, are needed to demonstrate its clinical application. Interpretations based on Korean traditional medicine also need to be elaborated more. In order to do accomplish clinical application of biophoton, interdisciplinary works are required. Some suggestions on biophoton experiments were made.

인간은 커뮤니케이션을 통해 그들의 생존과 바람직한 사회생활을 영위해 오고 있다. 인간의 커뮤니케이션은 언어에서 문자, 인쇄매체, 전파매체를 통해, 또한 최근에는 통신매체를 통하여 변화하며 확산되고 있다. 문자의 발명 이후 책은 가장 오랜 역사를 지닌 인간 커뮤니케이션 매체로서 인간의 정신세계를 보존, 전승해 왔다. 어린이 그림책 역시 커뮤니케이션 매체로서 정보의 발신자, 메시지, 매체, 수신자라는 요소로 구성되어 커뮤니케이션의 과정이 이루어진다. 작가, 일러스트레이터, 편집자라는 집합군의 발신자는 어린이라는 특별한 수신대상을 분석하여 메시지를 기호화하고 내용을 구성하며 매체를 선정하고 어린이에게 효과적으로 전달하여 커뮤니케이션이 이루어지도록 한다. 어린이라는 수신자의 발달 특성과 그의 욕구를 살펴 볼 때, 그림책의 글과 일러스트레이션이라는 시각매체는 어린이와의 커뮤니케이션을 위해 가장 적절한 것이다. 그래서 그림책은 첫째, 어른과 어린이간의 커뮤니케이션을 통해 어린이가 자아를 발견하고 역할을 수행해 갈 수 있도록 하여 결국 사회와의 커뮤니케이션을 이루게 한다. 둘째, 글과 일러스트레이션의 메시지 해독을 통하여 어린이에게 이 시대 인간 커뮤니케이션의 능력 즉 비주얼 커뮤니케이션과 문자 커뮤니케이션을 경험하고 학습하게 한다.

Emerging infectious diseases are usually a public concern. The presence of new emerging infectious diseases is a topic to be reported on and discussed about in medicine. The rapid progress of information technology makes the 3rd digital revolution after the 1st agricultural and the 2nd industrial revolution in the human history. The 1st agricultural-oriented society was based on the land and the labor, the 2nd industrial-oriented society was based on the capital and the technology 3rd knowledge-information-oriented society is where to make profit from creative brainworks and ideas based on human beings. The core of the knowledge-information-oriented society is the digital revolution from digitalizing information such as increase of the various digital contents in geometrical progression through internet.
