Various organizations generate and collect human rights records in North Korea for the purpose of punishing perpetrators and compensating victims; hence, a systematic and integrated management system on such records is needed. As such, the study aims to propose metadata for the human rights records in the country. Furthermore, the study derived common and necessary elements for the management of human rights records and referred deficiencies to the United Nations' (UN) guidelines by analyzing three local and international organizations and two human rights record software. Overall, the metadata consists of 15 upper elements in total with their corresponding subelements. Each of the proposed upper elements consists of 13 essential and 2 optional elements.
This study with emphasis on protecting human rights of people with mental disorder investigated human rights awareness among mental health workers and identify factors affecting their awareness. Questionnaires were sent out to employees working in mental health facilities in all parts of the country and of those 1094 were used to analyze. According to the analysis, employees' human rights awareness was ranked highest in the areas of occupational therapy and lowest in the areas of admission and discharge. Those who are women, aged between 30 and 40, highly educated, with long tenure, employed as social workers and working at rehabilitation programs presented high awareness of human rights so did employees with license in mental health and training experience in human rights. The result also presented negative correlation between employees' human rights awareness and their prejudice against people with mental disorder. Through this study, guidelines will be set up to help employees acknowledge the importance of human rights awareness and raise their awareness to promote and practice human rights of people with mental disorder.
The significance of the research is to leverage on the policy makers and school education, and research in terms of human rights issues and for the improvement of multicultural education by seeking an effective training plan with the purpose of the present study it. The efforts to address human rights issues through real multicultural care center starts with the question of human rights education in multicultural education methodology that can protect the human rights of migrant workers, immigrant youth in a multicultural society such situation in Korea by. This study clarifies the definition of and to provides guidelines on educational objectives, core concepts, and content in developing a Human Rights Education Program for families. The Delphi survey method was used to develop a Human Rights Education Program for families. As a result, a Human Rights Education Program for families was defined as education that would ensure all members of the family enjoy universal human rights without discrimination. In addition, that the prejudice and discrimination against socially marginalized would not be created within the family by learning values and attitudes that respects human rights and freedom. The objectives were to learn the merit of respecting individuals, relationships, and community. Core concepts of the program were the rights for myself and others, communicating and responsibilities and a sense of citizenship. Content included human rights, respect of oneself and others, empathetic understanding, acceptance, communication in an intimate relationship, conflict management, sharing the role of caring the family, no discrimination against the socially marginalized, and creating an inclusive community culture. This study can be used as a guideline for family human rights education based on family human rights, which is the core of family democracy.
Background: Long-term care insurance for the elderly has been stably established along with the quantitative expansion of long-term care facilities. Indeed, the need for a paradigm about human rights-based service approach is being raised throughout society from a service perspective. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the association between elderly human rights awareness and quality of service by considering human rights education as a moderate variable. Methods: This study conducted surveys with 138 caregivers working in long-term care facilities located in Seoul and Gangwon. General characteristics, awareness of human rights, and the level of service quality were examined using descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and correlation analysis. And multi-variable linear regression with a hierarchical framework was employed. These analyses were performed using IBM SPSS ver. 25.0. Results: Of the 138 caregivers, 97.1% were female, 87.7% were more than 50 years old, and most of their education level was high-school graduates. Their length of employment ranged from more than 5 years to less than 10 years. The level of awareness regarding elderly human rights of the elderly was below normal (mean=2.21), but the quality of service was high (mean=4.21), and the need for human rights education was also high (mean=4.28). Among the general characteristics, the length of employment was significantly associated with awareness of elderly human rights. Moreover, political rights awareness, included as sub-domains of human rights, was positively associated with quality of service. However, the moderating variable, human rights education, was not significantly associated with the quality of service. Conclusion: In this study, human rights education, as a moderating variable, did not have a statistically significant effect on caregivers' human rights awareness in relation to service quality. This finding is inconsistent with previous research results. These results can be explained by the fact that the frequency of education in long-term care facilities was a significant factor in the practice of protecting the human rights of the elderly. Therefore ongoing encouragement for the frequency of current human rights education and improvements in the educational approach appear to be necessary. In addition, these findings reveal the need for strength of education policies and effective in-depth research about human rights and quality of service to respect the human rights of the elderly.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the impact of human rights sensitivity and patient rights awareness of first-year students in clinical practice on clinical practice adaptation and to prepare practical and systematic personality development program education alternatives to foster high-quality medical personnel. Method: As for the research method, an online survey of 155 medical and nursing students from two universities in G-do (76 medical students and 79 nursing students) was conducted, and the collected data were T-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and step-by-step multiple regression analysis using SPSS WIN/25.0. Findings: The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the differences in each variable according to general characteristics, human rights sensitivity had a significant impact on gender, patient rights recognition on personality type, and clinical practice adaptation had a significant impact on major selection motivation. Second, the factors affecting the adaptation of first-year college students to clinical practice had a significant impact on extroverted personality and patient rights perception among personality types (regression model results F=6.38 (p<).001), 24.2% explanatory power). Conclusion: This study suggests that education and policy efforts are needed to foster accurate awareness of human rights issues by developing flexible and flexible extracurricular activity programs in the operation of the curriculum to strengthen medical and nursing students' ability to adapt to clinical practice and improve awareness of human rights issues.

All people have human rights that should be protected, and today, the importance of protecting human rights is emphasized in all areas of society. The industry is also carrying out activities to protect the human rights of workers, such as implementing human rights education for human rights management and preparing a response system for human rights violations. However, due to the closed environment and special working conditions, seafarers on board are often placed in a blind spot in human rights protection. In particular, a number of cases of human rights violations concerning beginner seafarers, including cadets, have been identified, and relevant research is insufficient compared to other occupational groups. Jobs that restrict basic human rights cannot be envied by anyone. In this study, implications and problems were derived based on the results of a human rights survey of cadets, and cases of human rights violations, and improvement measures were proposed. The cadets had a very negative perception of human rights violations before boarding. However, it was found that their perception changed after boarding. It was confirmed that cadets have unnecessary fears and concerns before boarding. Improvement measures include the establishment of a legal system for the status of cadets, measures to alleviate non-physical human rights violations, improvement of human rights violations handling procedures and response systems, and enhancing the effectiveness of human rights education.
The purpose of this study is to compare the differences in human rights perception between people with disabilities and staffs in the disabled residential facilities. Using data from the '2014 Human Rights Survey on Disability in the Disabled Residential Facilities' for 602 facilities, the study compared their perception of human rights(16 items), including human rights guarantee(12 items) and human rights violation(4 items). Result showed that the rate of perception for human rights guarantee and violation(except staff violation) of staffs was higher than people with disabilities(p<.05). This study demonstrated that there were significant differences in human right perception between people with disabilities and staffs. The cause of this difference would be the conflict between roles of staff and needs of person with disabilities, absence of human rights indicators by mutual consent between the two. Our findings suggested a need for study on strategies to solve gap of perception between the two, such as integrated human rights education, developing consensual human rights indicators.

This article introduces the case of archival management of the War and Women's Human Rights Museum. The War and Women's Human Rights is a nongovernment organization (NGO) focusing on the welfare of the Korean women who survived the Japanese military sexual slavery and is operated by a small museum. On the surface, the institution is registered and operated as a museum; however, as the parent institution's actual work and collection records were transferred and managed, archival management functions account for a large portion of the museum's work. In this study, the museum archivist and the collection archives' characteristics and roles were introduced. As the differences and specialization between general museums and records management institutions are seen through the collection types, the advantages of a museum for archive management were discussed, and a system for records management institutions to move toward cultural institutions was proposed. Furthermore, the record management problems and their impacts on record management in response to the organization's recent crisis, and its future vision and plans were introduced.
This purpose of this study is to identify and conceptualize difficulty of abstract experiencing human rights process conducted in caretaker workers of the disabled residential facilities by utilizing multidimensional scaling. Based on this result, this study suggested a number of practical implications which can be used to reduce difficulty of human rights process conducted in the caretaker workers of the disabled residential facilities.
