  • In indian agricultural , the energy use pattern has played dominant role in influencing the level of mechanization . Besides that the agro-climatic factors as well as the size of holdings do affect the degree of mechanization . Nearly 30 percent of total cultivated area is owned by l76 percent of the small and tiny land holders each owning even less than a hectare. On the other hand, about 2 percent of land owners cultivate land. These variabilitieshave greatly influenced the ownership of power sources on Indian farms. Small farmers, employ human and animal energies with the use of hand tools and animal drawn equipments. Whereases, the use of tractors, power tillers, electric motors, etc. on small farms is on a marginal scale. There are few pockets and also extensive wheat growing regions where mechanical and electrical power sources are extensively used in production agriculture leading to about 185% of cropping intensity . In that region, the animal energy is employed for on the farm transport of fertilizers, fodders and fuel to support milch animals and other household activities . Inspite of high degree of mechanization, the harvesting of crops is done by human labour with few exceptions of harvesting wheat crops by combines in few pockets. In overall assessment of mechanization, the following conclusions are drawn : ⅰ) Farm operation which show a growing trend of mechanization are (a) tillge, (b) seedling (c) Irrigation (d) Plant protection application (e) Threshing and (f) Transport . ⅱ) Crop cultivation system in respect of wheat, maize and sorghum have been greatly mechanized. ⅲ) The least mechanized cropping systems are (a) vegetable production and (b) cultivation of sugarcane, cotton, rice and pulses. ⅳ) Annual production of tractor has touched the figure of 280.000 by 1995 and the total number has crossed 1.5million on Indian farms.

  • Online shoppers are not able to try clothing on. Therefore, the pictures of clothing on the website play a significant role when shoppers make decision on their purchase. There are generally three different ways to show clothing at online shops. The first one is showing only clothing images, and the second one is showing the pictures that have actual fitting models wearing clothing on (In this case, Model's face is mostly not shown in the picture.), and the third is showing the pictures of professional fitting models who wear goods. The shopping malls adopt each of the different ways but little is known about affect on purchasing from these three ways. The aim of this study is to figure out how the online shopper's emotional status is affected by these three ways of presenting pictures of clothing. At first, we developed a set of adjective words of human emotion to set up the evaluation criteria for user's emotional status. Those adjectives are originally from the precedent research on human emotion. To cut 99 adjectives down to a proper number for the criteria, we conducted a preliminary survey, and finally, 5 adjectives are selected as appropriate criteria for evaluating users' emotional status while they are shopping. Those five adjectives are 'possess','sensual', 'unique', 'tasteful', and 'stylish'. Then, we conducted the main survey showing 10 kinds of cloth (each cloth was consist of 3 ways). And in the page of model images, we measured the model's preference for understanding the relation with customer's emotion criteria of the product. As a result of the test there was statistically significant difference between product only images and anonymous images, but there was no significant difference between anonymous images and model images. And the preference of the model and value of the emotion criteria have large correlation except 'unique' criteria. It is expected that the result in this study will help to build new marketing strategy which satisfy customers' emotion.

  • With leadership and speciality, creativity is cutting a fine figure among major values of human resource in 21C knowledge-based society. In the 7th school curriculum much emphasis is put on the importance of creativity by pursuing the image of human being based on creativity based on basic capabilities'. Also creativity is one of major factors of giftedness, and developing one's creativity is the core of the program for gifted education. Doing mathematics requires high order thinking and knowledgeable understandings. Thus mathematical creativity is used as a measure to test one's flexibility, and therefore it is the basic tool for creativity study. But theoretical study for mathematical creativity is not common. In this paper, we discuss mathematical creativity applied to 6 approaches suggested by Sternberg and Lubart in educational theory. That is, mystical approaches, pragmatical approaches, psycho-dynamic approaches, cognitive approaches, psychometric approaches and scio-personal approaches. This study expects to give useful tips for understanding mathematical creativity and understanding recent research results by reviewing various aspects of mathematical creativity.

  • In this paper, we propose a method that gives motion command to a mobile robot to recognize human being's hand gesture. Former way of the robot-controlling system with the movement of hand used several kinds of pre-arranged gesture, therefore the ordering motion was unnatural. Also it forced people to study the pre-arranged gesture, making it more inconvenient. To solve this problem, there are many researches going on trying to figure out another way to make the machine to recognize the movement of the hand. In this paper, we used third-dimensional camera to obtain the color and depth data, which can be used to search the human hand and recognize its movement based on it. We used HMM method to make the proposed system to perceive the movement, then the observed data transfers to the robot making it to move at the direction where we want it to be.

  • In domestic game market, the video game market is getting smaller and also decreasing funds and high level developers. So we need the software that can help us to make more realistic and high quality contents by non-expert developer in poor environments. In this paper, we selected global studio's animations which were scored good evaluation by public and critics as a well-made emotional expression that can convey the emotion properly. We selected movements that express emotions from the animation scripts by using Ekman's 6 basic emotions and Greimas' dynamic predicate, and then we had analyzed and categorized with the data. We also analyzed the movements for which data we needed to create specific movements to express emotions by using 'Animation Layer' that used in Unity's blending process. And suggest concept of the program that to create the emotional expression movements by using those analyzed data.

  • The purpose of this study is to do an in-depth examination of Korean women in their 30's on the characteristics of their online fashion shopping, clothes-wearing, and presentation. In-depth interview and quantitative analysis were conducted as study methods. Results of this in-depth analysis showed that the factor with the most significant influence in their lifestyle was "childbirth." Childbirth was a major factor during fashion shopping and clothes-wearing. Also the results showed that the reason they used online shopping was for convenience, efficiency, rationality, pursuit of information, variety, and hedonism. In particular, women in their 30's had a higher motivation for efficiency and rationality compared to those in their 20's, and of those women, married working women showed the highest preference for fashion soho malls. Meanwhile, full-time homemakers, who pursued rationality, used open markets to search for fashion items based on price. Furthermore, the factors that women in their 30's considered during online shopping were price, design, purpose or situation for wearing the clothing, respectively. Compared to the women in their 20's, they emphasized recommendation, product properties, credibility, economy more than women in their 20's. Factors such as marriage and childbirth were more influential than occupation. Meanwhile, the factors that women in their 30's considered for wearing and presentation were time, place, and occasion(TPO), which all showed high importance in in-depth interview and quantitative analysis. Other factors were 'suitable image to self' and 'covering up body figure.'

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the progress of obesity in women from childhood to adulthood and to analyze the characteristics of obese figures through comparing their body proportions to normal-weight people, to provide a basic reference for development of new size categories and improved pattern grading. Body measurement was made on 6,704 women age between 7-39 in Sizekorea 2004 database. The age range was divided into three groups: children(7-12), teenagers(13-18) and adults(19-39). The result of research into the characteristics of body proportions of obese figures and the classification of different figure groups of obese people are as follows: The ratio between width and circumference for each part of the body was investigated according to body weight which was grouped into three different weights of low, normal and obese body weights. And the result demonstrated that in all the ranges of age, the obese groups had the lowest ratio between width and circumference, having a thick body shape. And according to the result of comparing the ratio of the circumference of each body part divided by the waist circumference, the obese group also showed a low ratio, indicating that they have bigger waist circumference than any other body parts. By analyzing the ratio of circumference of body parts divided by waist circumference, three factors were identified as contributing to obesity. Using the factor loadings of the upper, distal and lower body obesity, a cluster analysis was carried out and three different categories of obesity were defined; abdominal obesity, distal obesity and proximal obesity.

  • The aim of this research is to analyze Vionnet´s geometric features, which can be regarded as the key formative beauty among the external characteristics of her works. and to thereby establish the theory that her works emitted a time-transcending life force because they were patterns designed based on a geometrical frame of mind. To prove such argument, studies to understand the basic geometrical aspects appearing in her works will be made by taking a look at the general features of geometry, viewing Vionnet´s philosophy for designing, and examining the geometric cutting methods. The period covered in this paper will center mainly on dresses Vionnet made from her very active days in the fashion sector, 1919. till when she retired from the fashion industry, around 1939. What's outstanding about Vionnet´s geometric principle expressed in her works is the unique cutting method that acknowledges the silhouette of the human body as a cubic or three-dimensions concept, through insight of the human body, the mechanics of the materials, and geometry. Vionnet introduced a simple and elegant design by combining geometric figure cuts, such as rectan히es. quadrants, and triangles. Moreover, she created a new sewing structure that plans everything about the materials to the tiniest detail, resulting in producing a softer style With this, Vionnet showed the geometrical correlation can bring about harmony and the beauty of ideal proportion, forming the source of eternal beauty. As discussed so fu, the geometrical characteristics appearing in Vionnet´s works are marked such as spirals, zig-zag lines, asymmetries. panels, gradation, golden proportion, and the mobius-band.

  • The purposes of this study was to investigate high school girl students’concerns about the family life education in Home Economics and their needs for learning in home economics classes in order to develop an advisable co-education curriculum. The questionnaires were completed by 196 first grade students in Seoul in 1993 and 765 first grade students in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefectures in 1991. The contents of the questionnaire were as follows:1) students’interests in the areas of Home Economics education, 2) students'concerns in their daily life 3) students’interests in a new curriculum for family life education:16 contents from human birth to death. 4) students’experience with their family, and 5) students’educational needs in Home Economics’teaching method. The result of our research showed that:1) Most of senior high school students in Korea and Japan had strong interests in their life and life span. 2) Although there are some differences in the degree of concerns between Korea and Japan, senior high school students in Korea and Japan had strong concerns with their “characteristics and personality”, their “future job”, their “looks and figure”and their “hobby and amusement”, these had not been the contents of home economics in Korea and Japan, but had been in U.S. 3) Very few senior high school students in Japan and especially in Korea had contacts with their grandparents. 4) Senior high school students in Korea and Japan showed strong interests in their near future stage, but they showed less interest in the stage of early childhood. 5) Senior high school students in Korea and Japan showed their diverse needs for learning in home economics classes. The results indicated that co-education curriculum for family life education should meet adolescent needs and concerns, and our new curriculum, “from one’s birth to death/one’s life span”, would be more advisable.
