Screening of-Lyophyllum Decastes-Highly Productive Cultivable Strains

  • In order to explore mycelial growth and fruiting body formation of Lyophyllum decates on different media, ten cultivation media by using cottonseed hull, sawdust, corn cob etc. as main components were designed for seven strains. The results showed that the mycelial colour of all strains are mainly snow-white, and the formula of media using corn cob as main materials was better than that using cottonseed hull and sawdust for mycelial growth, but no fruiting body was formed. The cottonseed hull medium with a small amount of sawdust, plant leaves, humus or fermented material and wheat was beneficial for fruiting formation. The incubation period for fruiting formation of strain 3001 was 108 days and the highest yield was-214.80 g/bag. Fructification of the strains tasted occurs successively in order of 3001, 1035, 1004 and 1013. It was concluded that different medium composition had significant effect on the mycelial growth and fruiting body formation.

CSR 을 활용한 이중선각유조선 중앙단면의 최적구조설계 (Optimum Structural Design of Mid-ship Section of D/H Tankers Based on Common Structural Rules)

  • It is necessary to perform the research works on the general structural designs and optimum structural designs of double hull tankers and bulk carriers due to the newly built Common Structural Rules(CSR). In this study, an optimum structural design of a mid-ship part of double hull oil tanker was carried out by using the CSR. An optimum structural design program was developed by using the Pareto optimal based multi-objective function method. The hull weight and fabrication cost obtained by the single and multi-objective function methods were compared with existing ship by the consideration of CSR and material cost which is recently increasing.

  • Magnetic anomaly generated around a ship is mainly due to the permanent magnetization(PM) and induced magnetization (IM) remaining on the hull. It is very difficult to predict the direction and its magnitude of the permanent magnetization distributed over the hull, that is caused by mechanical or thermal stress. In this paper, an effective method is proposed to separate two components, the one produced by PM and the other by IM, from the underwater earth field signal distorted by the ferromagnetic material of the ship. The method can easily provide the two kinds of magnetic anomaly through exploiting experimental results and 3D electromagnetic field analyses even though the PM distribution on the hull is not known. To validate the proposed method, a model ship is manufactured and tested. The results would be of much help to basis research for securing safe navigation of a ship against dangerous factors in underwater.

  • In hot forming process of the backward end-bulkhead of a pressure hull, the blank diameter and the tool clearance are the critical factors which influence wrinkling defect, forming load and shape completeness of the product. Two F.E.A softwares with the elasto-plastic material model and rigid plastic model were utilized to predict the occurrence of wrinkling defect. Tool clearance was determined by considering the increase of blank thickness, die strength and the stretching effect. Heat treatment condition after the hot forming to recover the original properties of the material was estabilished by specimen-based heat treating experiment.

양액재배용 팽연화 왕겨의 적정 사용기간 (Durability of the Expanded Rice Hull as a Hydroponic Culture Medium)

  • 양액재배용 배지로 팽연화 왕겨를 사용할 경우 반촉성 및 억제 재배용으로 사용 가능한 횟수는 3회 사용시 $Ca^{++}$의 다량 용출로 인한 배지의 다져짐이 나타나며 원형여지크로마토그래피상의 부숙도 판정에서도 2작기 경과동안 거의 부숙되는 것으로 미루어 2회까지 사용이 안정적인 것으로 판단되였다. 2회 사용일수의 합산이 245일 이고 정상적인 급액은 이루어지지 않았으나 30일 정도의 재상용전 기간 동안에도 습윤상태를 유지한 것으로 미루어 장기재배 1작기에도 사용이 가능한 것으로 판단되나 펄라이트의 적정 사용기간에 비해 1/3 정도로 사용기간은 짧은 편이었다. 교체비용을 포함한 배지 재료비는 펄라이트 대비 65.3% 정도로 경제적이었다.

CAE 기법을 활용한 심해 내압구조물의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (Optimal Design of Deep-Sea Pressure Hulls using CAE tools)

  • 내압구조물의 구조적 성능에 영향을 주는 주요 요소로 형상, 쉘 두께, 보강재 배치 안 그리고 제작 재료 등을 나열할 수 있다. 전통적인 이론적 방법론에 근거한 내압구조물의 설계는 신속하며 만족할 만한 결과를 제공하지만 이는 일부 특정한 형상, 쉘 두께 및 제작 재료 등에 제한되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 최적화된 형상, 쉘 두께, 보강재 배치 안 그리고 복합재료 적층 정보 등을 얻을 수 있는 최적설계 기법에 근거한 진보된 대체 방법론을 다루고 있다. CAE 기반의 최적설계 기법을 활용하여 내압구조물 설계에 요구되는 구조적 성능과 최적화된 설계 인자들을 얻었다. 상용화된 유한요소 프로그램임 ANSYS의 CAE 플랫폼으로부터 메타모델 기반 최적화 기법을 수행하여 원통형 내압구조물의 설계를 위한 최적의 타원형 형상을 결정하였다. 또한 최적설계 프로그램인 OptiStruct의 기울기 기반 최적설계 방법을 이용하여 복합재료 기반 내압구조물의 설계시 최적의 적층순서와 쉘 두께가 얇은 내압구조물에 대한 최적의 보강재 배치 안을 각각 도출하였다. 최적설계 예제를 통해 본 논문에서 제시하고 있는 최적설계 기법에 근거한 방법론이 내압구조물의 설계에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Evaluation of Optimum Moisture Content for Composting of Beef Manure and Bedding Material Mixtures Using Oxygen Uptake Measurement

  • Moisture content influences physiological characteristics of microbes and physical structure of solid matrices during composting of animal manure. If moisture content is maintained at a proper level, aerobic microorganisms show more active oxygen consumption during composting due to increased microbial activity. In this study, optimum moisture levels for composting of two bedding materials (sawdust, rice hull) and two different mixtures of bedding and beef manure (BS, Beef cattle manure+sawdust; BR, Beef cattle manure+rice hull) were determined based on oxygen uptake rate measured by a pressure sensor method. A broad range of oxygen uptake rates (0.3 to 33.3 mg $O_2/g$ VS d) were monitored as a function of moisture level and composting feedstock type. The maximum oxygen consumption of each material was observed near the saturated condition, which ranged from 75% to 98% of water holding capacity. The optimum moisture content of BS and BR were 70% and 57% on a wet basis, respectively. Although BS's optimum moisture content was near saturated state, its free air space kept a favorable level (above 30%) for aerobic composting due to the sawdust's coarse particle size and bulking effect.

선체변형을 고려한 탄성 축계정렬 설계 프로그램 개발 (Development of Elastic Shaft Alignment Design Program)

  • The effects of flexibilities of supporting structures on shaft alignment are growing as ship sizes are Increasing mainly for container carrier and LNG carrier. But, most of classification societies not only do not suggest any quantitative guidelines about the flexibilities but also do not have shaft alignment design program considering the flexibility of supporting structures. A newly developed program, which is based on innovative shaft alignment technologies including nonlinear elastic multi-support bearing concept and hull deflection database approach, has S basic modules : 1)fully automated finite element generation module, 2) hull deflection database and it's mapping module on bearings, 3) squeezing and oil film pressure calculation module, 4) optimization module and 5) gap & sag calculation module. First module can generate finite element model including shafts, bearings, bearing seats, hull and engine housing without any misalignment of nodes. Hull deflection database module has built-in absolute deflection data for various ship types, sizes and loading conditions and imposes the transformed relative deflection data on shafting system. The squeezing of lining material and oil film pressures, which are relatively solved by Hertz contact theory and built-in hydrodynamic engine, can be calculated and visualized by pressure calculation module. One of the most representative capabilities is an optimization module based on both DOE and Hooke-Jeeves algorithm.

  • The buckling assessment of plate panels described in common structural rules (CSR) is to be determined according to the buckling utilization factor with hull girder stresses calculated on net hull girder sectional properties. As the thickness requirement for the buckling assessment of plate panels is not explicitly given in CSR, a lot of time is spent to find the proper thickness of plate panels until reaching to an allowable buckling utilization factor. In this study, in order to reduce time and cost, the thickness requirement of plate panels satisfying buckling assessment was derived. The structural design system included with the thickness requirement for buckling assessment was developed. The system is called as Oil-tanker Automated Structural Investigation System (OASIS). The design result of longitudinal strength members using OASIS was verified by Nauticus Hull which is the rule scantling software of DNV. Finally, optimum design of a double hull tanker for the minimum weight using OASIS was presented.

탄소복합소재를 적용한 18ft급 레저보트의 수선하부 저항성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Resistance Performance Under Hull Form of 18ft Leisure Boat with Carbon Composite Materials)

  • 활주 선형의 선박은 직선으로 운항하거나 선회할 때, 그 속도에 따라 위치와 트림이 변화하며, 선체에 큰 저항이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 탄소복합소재를 선체에 적용하여 선체무게와 내구성이 향상된 레저보트의 전산유체역학을 통해 선형에 대한 저항을 추정하였다. 18ft급 레저보트의 선수부와 선미부의 저항 성능을 확인하고 선형 전체의 유동장을 추정하였으며, 수치해석을 통해 각 트림의 저항을 비교하여 선형에 대한 안정성을 확인하였다. 또한, 선체에 걸리는 힘이 크지 않아 설계된 선형이 충분히 견딜 수 있을 것을 확인하였고, 파도의 파장과 배의 길이를 관성력에 대한 중력의 비로 계산하여 롤링이 얼마의 힘으로 발생하는지 확인하여 보트의 안정성을 분석하였다.
