  • In this paper, in order to help one to write contents for education in such a way to increase effectiveness, we implement SMIL editor, which helps anyone to author contents for education and multimedia text in an easy way based on multimeda language SMIL. Thanks to its interface which utilizes WYSIWYGT, this editor allows teachers or other users who do not know SMIL to write contents for education and multimedia text in an easy way and to check in a real time how a partially completed document work and to revise when it is not satisfactory. It also allows one to write contents with explanations to help learning because usable multimedia objects can be inserted. This editor helps the user to reduce his inconvenience that he has in memorizing SMIL tags and to reduce his time and offers in writing the documents.

  • Recently, sharing economy is getting the attention of the public. So this phenomenon to share their goods, home, gifts, etc. in various fields has been increased. Typically when traveling away from home to host as "Airbnb", the share house to share their homes are traded most actively. Through a share house host can make money using house empty, customers can take advantage of the hostel while traveling at low prices. The existing share house system must ensure that every time they empty the house Customers, host had the inconvenience of having to wait for the application of the tenant customers. To solve this problem and to implement a service platform based on the waiting list. Through this platform, customers will be able to eliminate the inconvenience of having to find the house every time you want to apply for a tenant waiting to get home, give the order to wait.

  • Internet banking is widely used in our life with the development of the internet. At the same time, phishing attacks to internet banking have been increased by using malicious object to make unfair profit. People using internet banking service in Korea is required to install security modules such as anti-virus and keyboard protection. However phishing attack technique has been progressed and the advanced technique such as memory hacking defeats the security module of internet banking service. In this paper, we describe internet banking security modules provided by Korean internet banks and analyze how keyboard encryption module works. And we propose an attack to manipulate account transfer information using javascript. Although keyboard protection module provides two functions that protect leakage and manipulation of account transfer information submitted by users against the malicious program of hackers. Our proposed technique can manipulate the account transfer information and result html pages.

  • XML is emerging as a standard data format to exchange and to present data on the Web. There are increasing needs to efficiently store and to query XML data. In this paper. we propose a new schema transformation algorithm based on a common structure extracting technique from XML documents. The common structure is shared by all XML documents referenced by DTD and the uncommon structure is ununiformly appeared on all XML documents referenced by DTD. Based on the extracted common and uncommon structures, we transform XML DTD into relational database schema. We conduct a performance evaluation based on the number of the generated tables, the size of the record, query processing time and the number of joins on the query. The performance of our algorithm is compared with the existing algorithms, then in most cates, our algorithm is better than the existing ones with respect to the number of the generated tables and appearance of NULL values in the tables.

  • Google Maps have changed the response time of Web-GIS using AJAX technologies. In addition, Google released the Open API named Google Maps API(Application Programming Interface) and it lead to the big paradigm on the Open API, where the SDK(Software Development Kit) and ASP(Application Service Provider) had ruled at the related map market. In short, the Open API has been paradigm-shifting for the web mapping. After this, government, many companies and open source foundations have guided Web-GIS market's growth through releasing the relevant Open APIs. So many comparative analysis on web-mapping API carried out by many researches. However there were no researches that can be applied to our current domestic environments. This paper investigates components of web-mapping API. Then we compare how many components supported and enumerate features for each of those APIs. Finally this paper presents direction of future development of Web Mapping API.

  • Statistical analysis is a process which produces information based on data gathering and summary for final decision. In various application fields, we obtain information which supports final decision using statistical analysis. But statistical software program in PC (personal computer) is restricted by time and space. So web based system which can be used in web browser has been developed to minimize these restrictions. To overcome these restrictions, we have developed web based system for statistical analysis without a particular software.

Development of Innovative Technologies for Enhancing Low Flow Discharge and Reducing Turbid Material from Overcrowded Forest Plantations by Intensive Thinning in Japan

  • In Japan, about 67% of the land is covered by forests and about 41% of them consist of plantations. About 35% of the plantations consist of old-aged plantations of older than 50 yearsand the percentage is projected to 67% in ten years' time. Although the trees of these plantations are supposed to be cut for timber production, most of them remain unmanaged and thus overcrowded mainly due to declining domestic forest industry. Since the forests are mostly located in headwater watershed, there are growing concerns about the degradation of water resources by these unmanaged plantations. To understand the ecohydrological processes in these plantations and examine the effect of intensive 50-60 % thinning to increase infiltration rate and reduce overland flow and soil erosion by recovering understory vegetation, the JST-CREST project "Development of Innovative Technologies for Increasing in Watershed Runoff and Improving River Environment by the Management Practice of Devastated Forest Plantation (Representative: Yuichi Onda)" has been launched since 2009. The ultimate objective of this project is to provide potential scenario to enhance low flow discharge in drought period and reduce turbid material in high flow period. We have been conductingintensive field observation campaign in five research sites across Japan. In Fukuoka site, integrated ecohydrological observations have been conductedin two contrastive watersheds since 2010. Intensive 50% thinning was conducted from January to April 2012 and comparative studies of ecohydrological processes before and after thinning have been started. The interim results from all the sites of this project will be presented in the 3rd International Congress for Forest and Water in a Changing Environment held in Fukuoka during 18-20 September, 2012 (http://www.forest.kyushu-u.ac.jp/~ecohydrol/3ForestWater/index.html).

  • As environmental issues are emerging, many efforts are globally conducted to reduce waste of energies and resources for green growth, as well as low-carbon emitting and replacement of document papers with digital files and images. On the other hand, it may require much time and efforts for users to find the proper image files on the web, where enormous un-standardized digital files are flourishing. Therefore, power and resource consumption may also grow up again in searching and retrieving files. This paper suggests efficient system design and implementation for fast and precise massive image contents retrieval for saving the energies and resources. Eventually it will contribute to green growth in computing environment.

  • The Web continues to grow fast rate in both a large aclae volume of traffic and the size and complexity of Web sites. Along with growth, the complexity of tasks such as Web site design Web server design and of navigating simply through a Web site have increased. An important input to these design tasks is the analysis of how a web site is being used. The is paper proposes a Page logging System(PLS) identifying reliably user sessions required in Web mining system PLS consists of Page Logger acquiring all the page accesses of the user Log processor producing user session from these data, and statements to incorporate a call to page logger applet. Proposed PLS abbreviates several preprocessing tasks which spends a log of time and efforts that must be performed in Web mining systems. In particular, it simplifies the complexity of transaction identification phase through acquiring directly the amount of time a user stays on a page. Also PLS solves local cache hits and proxy IPs that create problems with identifying user sessions from Web sever log.
