An analysis of Airbnb and Kozaza will show how valuable and rare resource can have an impact on company performances. Airbnb applied the sharing economy platform, and this business model had disrupted the hospitality industry. Thus, this paper will investigate a Korean company called Kozaza which had benchmarked Airbnb. Furthermore, it will apply the theory of VRIO framework, which consists of how valuable, rare, costly to imitate (imitability), and organization (exploited by the organization) to find competitiveness of Kozaza in the hospitality industry. Thus, it will attempt to show that Kozaza's business model of utilizing the unused resource of Hanok (traditional Korean house) and partnerships with Hanokstay, Seoul Metropolitan Government and Soul Tourism Organization and others have enhanced their resource and capability to strengthen their business model. Furthermore, this research will explore how Kozaza can competitively be successful in the future.

People have their own cultural backgrounds and experiences in terms of visual perceptional thinking so that they could misunderstand the cultural symbols, trademarks, Brand Identities, and trade characters, especially, animal trademarks. Sometimes Easterners and Westerners seem to not comprehend the different meanings of the cultural symbols. The signs of twelve Chinese zodiac animals are the typical symbol of the Asian mythology. What I wanted to focus on emphasizing the different views and perspective of an animal trademark is according to the Chinese Zodiac between Eastern and Western cultures. Generally, multiple symbolisms are difficult to comprehend, because they are created by individual ideas and incorporate several mythologies and histories. How do Westerners interpret the implied meaning of Eastern animals in general? How are they going to understand the Eastern animal logos or marks accurately? How can we solve the problem to make people understand their different meanings? There were some confusing pictorial images in the area of the design field when a designer creates an animal mark for globalization and localization. Creating of hybrid symbol is the best way to break the communication barriers with people all around the world.

While one main stream of research in GDSS (Group Decision Support System) is to investigate how GDSS affects decision-making performances of groups according to task types, support features, meeting facilitation modes and meeting environments. little study h3s been done about how group characteristics affect group decision processes and outcomes depending upon GDSS is provided or not. So far, most GDSS research has considered group characteristics (e.g. personality homogeneity) as given and did not include it as control variables in experiments. Therefore, the objective of this study is to investigate how members of two different groups perceive the use of GDSS in group meetings through lab experiments. The two groups are homogeneous and heterogeneous groups in terms of members' personality mix. This research found that the effect of GDSS is a function of groups' personality homogeneity in regards of the satisfaction on decision process and the communication thoroughness. The support of GDSS and the group homogeneity are proved to influence participant's perception about some dependent variables such as satisfaction on decision process.

Radio and X-ray observations of radio lobes in galaxy clusters indicate large energies stored in the magnetic fields in the radio lobes. These magnetic fields are undoubtedly produced and amplified by the accretion onto the central supermassive black hole. I review recent progress and remaining problems in our understanding of the ways how these magnetic fields can be produced and amplified in the accretion disks and what can be the limiting strength of the magnetic field. The major remaining issue is how ordered magnetic spirals (or jets) can emerge from the turbulent small scale magnetic fields produced by MRI. Another issue is the ratio of the axial to the azimuthal magnetic field in jets.

Opening government data has been one of the main goals of nations building their e-government structures. Nonetheless, more than publishing government data for public viewing, the bigger concern right now is promoting the use change to "and proving the usefulness of available public data". In order to do this, governments must be able to, not only publicize data but more so, publish the kind of data usable to infomediaries and developers in order to create new products and services for citizens. This research investigates 30 open data use cases of South Korea as listed in Data.go.kr. This study aims to contribute to a better understanding of open datasets utilization in a technologically-advanced and well-developed nation and hopefully provide some useful insights on how open data is currently being used, how it is opening up new business, and more importantly, how it is contributing to the civic society by providing services to the public.

Many researchers strive to research on ways on how to improve the performance of RFID system and many papers were written to solve one of the major drawbacks of potent technology related with data management. As RFID system captures billions of data, problems arising from dirty data and large volume of data causes uproar in the RFID community those researchers are finding ways on how to address this issue. Especially, effective data management is important to manage large volume of data. Data reduction techniques in attempts to address the issues on data are also presented in this paper. This paper introduces readers to a new data reduction algorithm that might be an alternative to reduce data in RFID Systems. A process on how to extract data from the reduced database is also presented. Performance study is conducted to analyze the new data reduction algorithm. Our performance analysis shows the utility and feasibility of our categorization reduction algorithms.

Many researchers have developed various techniques for detection of human faces in ordinary still images. Face detection is the first imperative step of human face recognition systems. The two main problems of human face detection are how to cutoff the running time and how to reduce the number of false positives. In this paper, we present frontal and near-frontal face detection algorithm in still gray images using a thick edge image and neural network. We have devised a new filter that gets the thick edge image. Our overall scheme for face detection consists of two main phases. In the first phase we describe how to create the thick edge image using the filter and search for face candidates using a whole face detector. It is very helpful in removing plenty of windows with non-faces. The second phase verifies for detecting human faces using component-based eye detectors and the whole face detector. The experimental results show that our algorithm can reduce the running time and the number of false positives.

In the image methodology, cinemagraphs are needed to find out how to think through the empirical studies of the audiences in actual empirical theory. Therefore, this study analyzes what cinemagraph images represent and what groups are inclined to see them. The analytical study aims to reveal the grouping categorized as a preference survey according to the subjectivity study by Q methodology. Research reveals how images should be read and how disparities tend to differ from or agree with those in understanding images. Therefore, four types categorized into Q analysis through 1: 1 interview using a sample group and using samples showed that human interpretation and cinemagraph images were represented in understanding cinemagraphs.

In recent years some very substantial advances have been made in our understanding of oogenesis as a result of studies on a relatively few, very diverse species of animals. In this lecture I will (1) outline normal oogenesis using an advanced insect, Drosophila melanogaster, as an example, (2) show how oogenesis can be dissected genetically by studying the ovarian pathologies of flies homozygous for various recessive, female sterile genes, and (3) discuss how estimates can be made of the fraction of the Drosophila genome devoted to oogenesis. Then I will describe studies on mutations that block vitello-genesis in Drosophila and indicate what they tell us about inter actions between the ovary, the fat body and the endocrine system. I will next discuss the evolutionary mechanisms that have been adopted in higher insects and amphibians to produce the prodigious quantities of ribosomes stored in oocytes. I will end with an account of the results of recent stuides on amphibian lampbrush chromosomes which show how messenger RNAs are transcribed during oogenesis.

The initial configuration for 95-seat passenger regional turboprop aircraft, the so called KC950, was designed to meet the market requirements. This paper prescribes the initial design based upon aircraft design guidelines and compared the competitive aircraft configurations after considering the related FAR 25 regulations. More specifically, results of design describe how to select the fuselage cross-sectional area, how to layout the cabin, and how to determine the overall shape and physical dimension of the fuselage. Sizing of wing and empennage areas is estimated using empirical equations and tail volume coefficients in this design. Some design guidelines to determine wing sweep angle, taper ratio, incidence angle and location are also introduced.
