A Study on the Application of YangTaek-Theory in Ubiquitous House (유비쿼터스 주택의 양택론 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This research is about the methods in making computers understand the situation in regards to interaction between House and Human Behavior. In this paper, house is the ubiquitous house, as a future house, adopting ubiquitous computing presenting the interrelation of human and house - interior space, architecture, nature. And the Context Aware Model of ubiquitous house is proposed to embody the ubiquitous house. The research objective is to systematize the context in the ubiquitous house and suggest a theoretical basis to embody the ubiquitous house interacting between the House ud Human Behavior Especially, this paper focuses on the Context Aware Model based on FengShui-Theory(sp. YangTaek-Theory). The ubiquitous house is not what operates passively by human but a information-oriented house that can predict the situation and the living patterns of human. For a information-oriented house and informal living context at home, this paper uses FengShui-Theory whose central concern is the interrelation of human and nature. Through these concepts, this research will suggest how to systematize, control and manage the context at home. In the end, it is expected to offer a theoretical basis to embody the intelligent house and apply an environment design communicating between the computers and human.

  • This study attempted to make evaluation model of deterioration for the rural house. defined the deterioration of rural house as the two categories. First is the physical deterioration which is affected by physical faults and the second is the social deterioration which is affected by change of environments. As a results, physical deterioration model was developed by types of rural house, and social deterioration model was considered to reverse function of satisfaction of a resident.

  • In line with the worldwide trend toward the protection of natural environment and economic concerns, the steel framed house is suggested for the next industrialized generatiov. In Korea, untrustworthiness of concrete structured apartment has led to the development of alternative building material and technology. POSCO has constructed the model steel house to assess the marketability of steel framed house in Korea. To collect basic data required to design the steel framed house suitable to Korean life pattern and housing needs, professional evaluation of model steel house was conducted. The goal of this study is to propose alternative plan and ideas on the interior space planning based upon the evaluation from women housing professionals. Our analysis reveals that the habitability of steel house is equal or superior to that of traditional houses. But in the interiior sapce planning, the certain aspects of steel houses is not suitable to Korean likfe style: the lack of storage space and utility space, inflexibility of plav. We conclude that given its cost efficiency and environmental concern, steel house has potential to take an important part in future Korean housing.

  • This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of architectural ideology and characteristics of spatial composition between Moisei Ginzburg's Narkomfin communal house and Le Corbusier's Unite d'Habitation. Narkomfin communal house and Unite d'Habitation is considered as example of experiment to construct ideal community housing model. Moisei Ginzburg designed Narkomfin communal house to make typical housing model for socialist city. Meanwhile, Le Corbusier is considered as a leader of modern functionalism architecture. His Unite d'Habitation in Marseille is important experiment for housing model in modern period. Unite d'Habitation is known to be affected by Narkomfin communal house in terms of architectural ideology and its spatial composition. This study focuses on comparative analysis between Narkomfin communal house and Unite d'Habitation through drawings, pictures and various literatures. Narkomfin communal house and Unite d'Habitation have common ideology to realize ideal community housing model. Moreover, both of them have considerable similarities in their spatial composition. First of all, unit housing of Narkomfin and Unite d'Habitation are maisonette type. Secondly, both of them have unique system that one corridor serve two of housing unit. Also, both have common facility such as laundry, childcare which is connected with their housing.

  • We studied a model house system on cyberspace using JAVA and VRML in this paper. In the system, users can not only browse the model house using a web browser but also choose options that they want to install in the final house and the chosen options are combined with the figure of the model house on the terminal window in real time. In addition, the information of the chosen options are transferred to a database on a server machine at the construction company and the company can use the information for the customer management. The developed system can be used by a simple EC system since it includes duplex information paths.

  • Five zero energy house models developed in Korea for the purpose of the energy performance were compared and analyzed in the study. The standard passive house model applying common technology and efficient energy performance elements was proposed. Standard passive house 5 models have been developed commonly aiming at 100% energy saving, applying high-performance and high-efficiency exterior thermal insulation, using 3 low-e coated window system, and targeting average 0.65 ACH to enhance privacy. Energy recovery ventilators and dry and cold radiant heating floor has been partially applied. Eco-design techniques such as the awning device, heat insulating door, using natural light have been used. Solar and geothermal systems as the application of renewable energy technologies have been commonly applied. And fuel cells were applied to a partial model. The standard model based on common technical elements and average performance of each element and obtained from five model analysis has been proposed in the study.

  • This study developed Interactive Virtual Model House (IVMH) to provide the cyber model house, homepage of apartment complex, and smart home, which have been indicated as an alternative for improving the residential environments, as a total system. For this cause, the concept of IVMH was established and the apartment and 3-types ways used in the existing system were studied. Based on the organized data, the elements of IVMH by technology and environment were examined, and the model of IVMH was completed. IVMH is a model of an integrated system that supports offering information in apartments using digital technology, supporting conveniences, communication and reflection of opinion. In addition, it will be provided with applicable contents from now on. For those reasons, it is expected to be effective in helping improve habitability.

  • This research investigates a system for house design automation. The system is based on an object-oriented building data model, aiming to support the house design process conducted by non-expert users. Its object model, with simple yet powerful user interfaces, enables a CAD system to handle a complicated building system with much ease. Hence, the model dramatically simplifies the design process beyond just the automatic document generation. In this paper, we discuss the aspects of the building data model, introduce critical concepts such as grid objects and structured floor plan, and present a prototype system called GPLAN. The system is implemented in the framework of our building data model, and it provides a host of intelligent features that have been proved useful for house design automation.

  • Before showing the real house, generally a broker shows the blue print of the house to a customer who looks for houes to reside. However, it is difficult to for the customer to realize the house in detail by the blue print. To solve this problem, meet develop model house system using the virtual reality technology. The develop system shows the blue print of the house in 3D on the android device and make it possible for the user to move in the house projected virtually by using controllers.
