An energy method of analysis is presented which can be used to study the inelastic lateral-distortional buckling of hot-rolled I-sections continuously restrained at the level of the tension flange. The numerical modelling leads to the incremental and iterative solution of a fourth-order eigenproblem, with very rapid solutions being obtainable, so as to enable a study of the factors that influence the strength of continuously restained I-beams to be made. Although hot-rolled I-sections generally have stocky webs and are not susceptible to reductions in their overall buckling loads as a result of cross-sectional distortion, the effect of elastic restraints, particularly against twist rotation, can lead to buckling modes in which the effect of distortion is quite severe. While the phenomenon has been studied previously for elastic lateral-distortional buckling, it is extended in this paper to include the constitutive relationship characteristics of mild steel, and incorporates both the so-called 'polynomial' and 'simplified' models of residual stresses. The method is validated against inelastic lateral-torsional buckling solutions reported in previous studies, and is applied to illustrate some inelastic buckling problems. It is noted that over a certain range of member slenderness the provisions of the Australian AS4100 steel standard are unconservative.
Natural red and yellow dyestuff was extracted from safflower (Carthamus tinctorius Linnaeus) by a new process of cellulase extraction compared with the conventional hot water extraction. Dyestuffs were extracted from safflower easily and repeatedly by means of cellulose as safflower cell wall destroyer. It means that new dyestuff extraction by cellulase improves not only yields of dyestuff from safflower successfully but also the rate of repetition of extraction. From the above experiments, the conclusions of this study were summarized as follows. 1. The optimum conditions of dyestuff extraction from safflower by general extraction method were that the solvent was the water of pH 6.0 on yellow dyestuff and 3% $K_2CO_3$ solution on red dyestuff, extraction temperature was $55^{\circ}C$, and extraction time was 30 min. 2. Among various cellulase, the NOVO cellulase was the best cell wall destroyer of safflower and finally produced the largest amount of dyestuff from safflower by cellulase extraction method. 3. The optimum conditions of dyestuff extraction by cellulase extraction method were conducted on 10 unit of cellulase per gram of safflower at $100m{\ell}$ water of pH 5.0 at $50^{\circ}C$ for 30 min.
In the previous papers, it was reported that p-methoxycinnamate showed good antipyretic action when tested on the typhoid-vaccinated rabbits and decreased the ascorbic acid content of the adrenals of rats like other wellknown antipyretics. In the present work, it was shown that p-methoxycinnamic acid exhibited marked analgesic properties. The method employed for testing analgesic effect was modification of that described by Woolfe and Macdonald. Of mice which had been trained and jumped out within 5 seconds on the hot plate of $59{\deg}$, the reaction time was prolonged by subcutaneous injection of its sodium salt aqueous solution. Mean responses were proved to increase linearly with the log doses (from doses 160 mg to 500 mg/kg).
The auto industry is demanding more ductile high-strength steel grades to build lighter and stronger car bodies. The hot-dip galvanizing problems of these new steel grades are creating a demand for an improved method to control zinc wettability. The simplest way to improve zinc wettability on industrial hot-dip galvanizing lines is to increase the strip immersion temperature at zinc bath entry for enhancing the aluminothermic reaction. However, this practice increases the reactivity due to overheating the zinc in the snout which induces the formation of brittle Fe-Zn compounds at the strip/coating interface with the formation of higher amounts of dross in the zinc bath and snout contamination. Thus, this simple practice can only be utilized for short production periods of one to two hours without deteriorating coating quality. This problem has been solved by employing a technique that allows the use of a higher and attuned strip immersion temperature at zinc bath entry while still maintaining a constantly low zinc bath temperature. This has been proven to provide the solution for both the improved wettability and a significant reduction in the amounts of dross in the zinc bath.

In this paper, a carbon implant is investigated in detail from the perspectives of performance advantages and side effects for the thick n-type metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (n-MOSFET). Threshold voltage ($V_{th}$) adjustment using a carbon implant significantly improves the $V_{th}$ mismatch performance in a thick (3.3-V) n-MOS transistor. It has been reported that a bad mismatch occurs particularly in the case of 0.11-${\mu}m$$V_{th}$ node technology. This paper investigates a carbon implant process as a promising candidate for the optimal $V_{th}$ roll-off curve. The carbon implant makes the $V_{th}$ roll-off curve perfectly flat, which is explained in detail. Further, the mechanism of hot carrier injection lifetime degradation by the carbon implant is investigated, and new process integration involving the addition of a nitrogen implant in the lightly doped drain process is offered as its solution. This paper presents the critical side effects, such as Isub increases and device performance shifts caused by the carbon implant and suggests an efficient method to avoid these issues.

An upper bound solution is obtained to perform the process analysis of hot strip rolling process. The material flows within the roll bite at various geometries and frictional conditions are obtained from finite element analysis and the typical flow pattern which is necessary to determine the kinematically admissible velocity field is assumed. From the kinematically admissible velocity field, the upper bound energy is calculated and the rolling load, angle of neutral point and forward slip ratio at various operational conditions are obtained from upper bound energy. The process analysis of above mentioned parameters at various operational conditions have provided valuable information which is hard to obtain during rolling operation and the predicted ranges of quantitive values from these analyses lie whthin the bound of actual operational data.
Transparent conductive aluminum-doped ZnO(AZO) films Were prepared by a ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method at the substrate temperature below 23$0^{\circ}C$. A vertical type hot wall furnace was used as a reactor in the deposition system. Zinc acetate dissolved in methanol was selected as a precursor. The substrate temperature was varied from 18$0^{\circ}C$to 24$0^{\circ}C$. Aluminum (Al) was doped into ZnO films by incorporating anhydrous aluminum chloride (AlCl$_3$) in the zinc acetate solution. The proportion of the Al in the starting solution was varied from 0 wt % to 3.0 wt %. The crystallographic properties and surface morphologies of the films were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. The resistivity of the films was measured by the Van der Pauw method, and the mobility and carrier concentration were obtained through the Hall effect measurements Transmittance was measured in the visible region. The effects of substrate temperature and aluminum content in the starling solution on the structural and electrical properties of the AZO films are discussed

The $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticle was synthesized by the hot-injection method while varying the injection time of the precursor solution. The crystal structure was determined to be cubic inverse spinel with space group of Fd-3m based on X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements and the morphology of the prepared $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticle was studied with a high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM). When the precursor solution was injected for 0.5 min, the size of the $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticle was 7.63 nm, while the size of the obtained particle was 21.27 nm with the injection time of 60 min. The magnetic properties of the prepared $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticle were investigated by both vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and $^{57}Co$ M$\ddot{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy at various temperatures. From the hyperthermia measurement, we observed that the temperature of the $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticle powder reached around $120^{\circ}C$ under 250 Oe at 50 kHz, when the injection time of the precursor solution was 60 min.
In this paper, we describe a new method to form polymer thin films, in which carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are homogeneously distributed so that they can strengthen the mechanical property of resulting polymer film. To do so, we first homogeneously mixed CNTs with polymer in a DMF solvent. With the assistance of ultrasonic nebulizer, the polymer/CNT solution was then aerosolized into micro-sized droplets and finally turned into solidified polymer/CNT composite particles by gas-phase drying process. As the results of SEM and TEM analysis, CNTs were found to be homogeneously immobilized in the polymer matrix particles due to rapid drying process in the gas phase. For comparison purpose, (i) the polymer/CNTs composite particles prepared by aerosol processing method and (ii) polymer/CNTs sheets prepared by simple solution-evaporation method were employed to form polymer/CNTs composite thin films using a hot press. As the result, the aerosol processing of composite particles was found to be a much more effective method to form homogeneously distributed-CNTs in the polymer matrix thin film.

Y doped zinc oxide (YZO) thin films were deposited on F doped $SnO_2$ (FTO) glass substrate by sol-gel method using the spin-coating system. A homogeneous and stable solution was prepared by dissolving acetate in the solution added diethanolamine as sol-gel stabilizer. YZO films were obtained after preheated on the hot-plate for 5minute before each coating; the number of coating was 3 times. After the coating of last step, annealing of YZO films performed at $450^{\circ}C$ for 30 minute. In order to confirming of a ultraviolet ray interruption and down-conversion effects, optical properties of YZO films, transmission spectrum and fluorescent spectrum were used. Also, for understanding the obtained results by experiment, the elestronic state of YZO was calculated using the density functional theory The results obtained by experiment were compared with calculated structure. The detail of electronic structure was obtained by the discrete variational Xa (DV-Xa) method, which is a sort of molecular orbital full potential method. The density of state and energy levels of dopant element were shown and discussed in association with optical properties.
