철도차량의 승강장 통과 시 발생하는 공기역학적 영향에 대한 실험적 연구-기존철도역 현장시험 (An Experimental Study on the Aerodynamic Effects Generated by a Train Passing near by Platform - Conventional Railway Station Field Test)

  • A series of filed tests have been performed to investigate the aerodynamic effects on platform of the railway station during the passage of train that can be unpleasant and even dangerous to the pedestrians. To assess the aerodynamic effects on the platform, two aerodynamic properties has been measured; one is the wind gust induced by the train and the other is the pressure pulses generated when the nose and the tail of train passes. To measure these aerodynamic properties during the train passage, an array of hot-wire type anemometers and several sets of pressure transducers have been used, respectively. This paper deals with the filed test on conventional railway at about l00km/h operational speed, in which total 34 measurements has been made at the Bugok station in Seoul-Busan line for Saemaul and Mugungwha train. The results showed dramatic differences in the aerodynamic features between the two trains that are supposed to originate from the contrasting nose shapes of the trains.

  • KRISO 3600TEU 콘테이너 이중모형선 주위 유동의 평균속도와 난류성분들을 풍동실험을 통해 실험적으로 연구하였다. 선미와 후류의 여러 단면에서의 속도분포를 x형의 열선 프로우브로 측정하여 평균속도와 레이놀즈 응력, 그리고 난류 운동에너지 등을 구하였다. 선미영역과 후류영역에서의 유동은 매우 복잡한 3차원 유동특성을 보여주고 있다. 측정 결과로부터 주유동 방향의 와 구조의 형성과 이러한 와 유동이 후류의 유동에 미치는 영향을 알 수 있었으며, 하류로 나아감에 따라 전단층 영역이 점차 확장되어짐을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 선체주위 유동의 난류 성분들의 측정은 향후 수치계산 및 정확한 난류모델의 개발에 비교자료로 사용되어질 것이다.

Experimental Study on Tip Clearance Effects for Performance Characteristics of Ducted Fan

  • Currently, a new generation of ducted fan UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) is under development for a wide range of inspection, investigation and combat missions as well as for a variety of civil roles like traffic monitoring, meteorological studies, hazard mitigation etc. The current study presents extensive results obtained experimentally in order to investigate the tip clearance effects on performance characteristics of a ducted fan for small UAV systems. Three ducted fans having different tip clearance gap and with same rotor size were examined under three different yawed conditions of calibrated slanted hot-wire probe. Three dimensional velocity flow fields were measured from hub to tip at outlet of the ducted fan. The analysis of data were done by PLEAT (Phase locked Ensemble Averaging Technique) and three non-linear differential equations were solved simultaneously by using Newton -Rhapson numerical method. Flow field characteristics such as tip vortex and secondary flow were confirmed through axial, radial and tangential velocity contour plots. At the same time, the effects of tip clearance on axial thrust and input power were also investigated by using wind tunnel measurement system. For enhancing the performance of ducted fan, tip clearance level should be as small as possible.

열성층유동장에 놓인 원주후류의 특성에 대한 연구 (4) -가열량의 변화에 따른 원주후류에 대하여- (A Study on the Characteristics of Cylinder Wake Placed in Thermally Stratified Flow (IV) -On the Cylinder Wake with Various Heating Rates-)

  • The effects of thermal stratification on the flow past a heated circular cylinder with various heating rates were examined in a wind tunnel. Turbulent intensities, r.m.s.values of temperature and turbulent convective heat flux distributions in the cylinder wakes with and without thermal stratification were measured by using a hot-wire and cold-wire combination probe. The phase averaging method was also used to estimate coherent contributions to the turbulent flow field in the near wake. The results show that the scalar mixing process is very different according to the mean temperature fields especially in the upper part of the wake. The coherent structure of the temperature field makes a large contribution to the time mean value like velocity components. However, the coherency of the temperature fluctuation is very different with the change of mean temperature fields, though the velocity coherent motions are quite similar in all experimental conditions.

  • The effect of thermal stratification on the turbulent dispersion from a fine cylindrical heat source was experimentally examined in a wind tunnel with and without a strong temperature gradient. A 0.5 mm dia. nichrome wire was used as a line heat source. Turbulent intensities, r.m.s. value of temperature and convective heat fluxes were measured by using a hot-wire and cold-wire combination probe. The results show that the peack value and the spread of the vertical turbulent intensity for the stratified case are far lower than those in the neutral case, which indicates that the stable temperature gradient suppresses the vertical velocity component. All of the third order moments including heat fluxes measured in the stable condition have very small values than those of the neutral case. This nature suggests that the decrease of scalar fluctuations in the stably stratified flow is mainly due to the suppression ofthe turbulent diffusion processes by the stable stratification. A simple gradient model with a composite timescale which has a simple weighted algebraic mean between dynamic and thermal time scale yields reasonably good numerical values in comparison with the experimental data.

천이영역에서 난류에너지의 이동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Transport of Turbulent Energy in the Transitional Boundary Layer)

  • 본 연구에서는 평판 경계층의 천이 영역에서 평균속도, 표면마찰계수, 간헐도 분포, 에너지 스펙트럼 등의 신뢰성 있는 실험 자료를 획득하였다. 실험 결과 천이가 진행됨에 따라 난류반점이 지배하는 영역이 벽면 근처에서 전 경계층으로 확산되었으며 이러한 현상의 결과로 속도 섭동량에서 비등방성이 크게 나타난다. 천이 이전영역에서는 에너지가 주로 저주파에 집중되어 있다가 천이를 거치면서 에너지가 고주파 성분으로 이동하였다 이는 두 가지 이상의 에너지 발생과 소멸 메커니즘이 천이영역에서 공존하고 있음을 의미한다. 따라서 천이영역에서의 유동장을 예측하기 위한 난류 계산 모형에서 비등방성과 서로 다른 메커니즘을 표현할 수 있기 위해서는 반드시 두 가지 이상의 척도를 표현할 수 있어야 한다.

World Bank와 ILO/ISSA의 사회보장연금 민영화 논쟁에 관한 연구 (The Social Security Pension Reform Debate between the World Bank and the ILO/ISSA)

  • In 1981, Chile has fundamentally reformed the public pension system from the pay-as-you-go system (PAYGs) to the full funding defined contribution system managed by the private funding companies. The Chilean privatization reform influenced not only the neighbor South American countries but also the advanced countries. The United Kingdom contracted out the state earning related pension system. Australia and Sweden recently introduced the private investment accounts system. And now the hot debates on the privatization of the social security pension is going on in the United States of America. This wind of privatizing the public pension system is being backed up by the New Liberalism, the nowadays' strongest ideology. Besides, the theoretical and idealogical debate between the World Bank and the ILO/ISSA was happened in the middle of 1990s. The World Bank, the supporter of the international financial capital, insisted the introducing of the full funding individual accounts system and the abolition of the existing PAYGs. The ILO/ISSA apposed the World Bank's policies and advocated the moderate reform of the PAYGs. In this paper, I reviewed the Chilean reform, the World Bank's report and the opposing argument of the ILO/ISSA against it, and analysed the core issues of the two sides. Also, I tried to present the suggestions to the Korean public pension systems. Through the discussing the debate, we made certain of the importance of the basic issues in the social security system like equity vs. adequacy, inter-generational redistribution vs. intra-generational redistribution and welfare vs. economy, once again.

Investigation of passive flow control on the bluff body with moving-belt experiment

  • The passive control methods such as horizontal and vertical fences on the lower surface of the bluff body were applied to suppress the vortex shedding and enhance the aerodynamic stability of flow. For investigating the effects of the passive control methods, wind tunnel experiments on the unsteady flow field around a bluff body near a moving ground were performed. The boundary layer and velocity profiles were measured by the Hot Wire Anemometer (HWA) system and the vortex shedding patterns and flow structures in a wake region were visualized via the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system. Also, it is a measuring on moving ground condition that the experimental values of the critical gap distances, Strouhal numbers and aerodynamic force FFT analyses. Through the experiments, we found that the momentum supply due to moving ground caused the vortex shedding at the lower critical gap distance rather than that of fixed ground. The horizontal and vertical fences increase the critical gap distance and it can suppress the vortex shedding. Consequently, the stability characteristics of the bluff body near a moving ground could be effectively enhanced by the simple passive control such as the vertical fences.

  • The results were as follow: 1. In classification of the virulence of medicines, it is the virulent animal that have a deadly poison and the rest is the animal of weak nor non-toxic. 2. In classification of the channel distribution, the most is the medicine that belongs to liver channel, the next are the stomach, lung, kidney and spleen channel. 3. In classification of four characters, the most parts are cool, common and warm medicine and there is a few that is hot and cooling. 4. In classification of five tastes, the most numerous tastes are sweet and salty and the next are acrid, bitter and sour tastes. 5. In classification of the medical action, there are few medicine of invigorating vital energy, tonic therapy and astringent and a great part of the medicine are regulating vital energy and blood, removing blood stasis and mass, clearing away heat-evil and eliminating sputum, calming the river to inhibit the wind-evil and pain control. 6. In classification of the application of cancer, the most numerous disease is the liver cancer and the next are stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, leukemia, uterine cancer,mastitis, brain tumor.
