Manual lifting techniques are commonly defined in terms of the postures adopted at the start of the lift. Quantitative definition is problematic, however, because the absolute joint angles adopted to lift an object are influenced by task parameters, such as the initial height of the load. The main objective of this study is to investigate the grip strength of the both hands at the initial lifting points. The survey is conducted by measuring the compression force, anthropometric data and grip strength at the lifting postures for the subjects(n=50) who is assigned to their job as usual. The experiment is peformed at the four lifting postures which involving the combination of two horizontal factors(H1 : 35 cm, H2 : 55 cm) and two vertical factors(V1 : 20~80 cm, V2 : 47~102 cm). The analysis result of lifting posture indicated that each H1-V1, H2-V1 combinations are about 60$^{\circ}$ and each H1-V2, H2-V2 combinations are about $30^{\circ}$. There are significant differences on grip strength between $60^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$ stooped posture. The results of this study can be provided a method defining lifting postures at the minimum grip strength. Also, it is eliminated a hazard of the injuries which are cumulative trauma disorders(CTDs) and back pain, increased a productivity and improved a welfare of workers.

Although a yacht sails operate with large displacement due to very thin thickness, many studies for flow around yacht sails have not considered the sail deformation. The sail deformation not only caused a change in the center of effect(CE) on the sail but also a change in the thrust of the sail. The change of the CE and thrust affects the center of lateral resistance(CLR) and side forces of the hull, and the balance of the yacht. These changes affect the motion of the yacht which changes the velocity of the yacht. Thus, when analyzing the flow around yacht sails, the sail deformation should be considered. In the present study, fluid-structure-interaction(FSI) analysis of a two dimensional section of yacht sails was performed to consider the effects of sail deformation on the lift and drag performance. FSI and moving mesh methods were studied. Computational methods were verified using benchmark test cases such as the flow around horizontal and vertical cantilever beams. Shape deformation, pressure distribution, lift forces and separation flow were compared for both rigid and deformable sail.

In order to investigate the properties in distribution and movement of anchovy school catches by the lift net in the Kamak bay and their relation to the environmental factors, I. e., the amount of chlorophyll-a and turbidity were observed from June to August in 1997 and compared with the catch of anchovy by the lift net. The results obtained are summarized as follows;1) The amount of chlorophyll-a ranged from 4.0 to 12.0 mg/$m^3$ on July and from 3.0 to 15.0 mg/$m^3$ on August in horizontal distribution, the amount of chlorophyll-a ranged from 3.0 to 8.0mg/$m^3$ on June, from 5.5 to 11.6 mg/㎥ on July, and from 6.0 to 11.1 mg/$m^3$ on July and from 1.0 to 6.0ppm on August, respectively. 2) Anchovy school can be presurmed, they are come from north of bay, visited and distributed through east of bay at the middle of June. Moreover, they spreaded in all bay. Then gradually, when July arrive, they go to the south the nearest the coasts, and they are outflow through the south entrance of bay at the end of August.3) The catch of anchovy was highest on July, poor second on August, and lowest on June. The chlorophyll-a and the turbidity influenced remarkably on the distribution and movement of anchovy school and the influence of chlorophyll-a was alrgest.

This study was carried out to design the stable elements of the aerial work machinery used in the orchard and farmland which had been conducted in the previous research. A hydraulic lifting lift has been developed to work safely at irregular and inclined locations using an auto leveling system and a horizontal sensor. The development of a centralized controller including remote control has been carried out in order to control the elevated work platform. Through the developed module, we carried out on-site test run to check whether the control is stable in the elevation workbench. Through the structural analysis of the elevation workbench, the maximum load and the equal load amount that the worker can safely work on the workbench are presented.

The optimum design and the performance analysis software called POSEIDON for the HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) was developed by use of BEMT. The Prandtl's tip loss theory was adopted to consider the blade tip loss. The lift and the drag coefficient of S-809 airfoil were predicted via X-FOIL and also the post stall characteristics of S-809 were estimated by the Viterna's equations. All the predicted aerodynamic characteristics are fairly well agreed with the wind tunnel test results, performed by Sommers in Delft university of technology. The rated power of the testing rotor is 20kW(FIL-20) at design conditions. The experimental aerodynamic parameters and the X-FOIL data were used for the power prediction of the FIL-20 respectively. The comparison results shows good agreement in power prediction.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of applying the Pilates reformer exercise to 17 adult women on the alignment of the standing posture. Methods: The subjects performed a Pilates reformer exercise for 60 minutes a day, three times a week, for a total of eight weeks. The Pilates reformer exercise consisted of five types: 1) lower and lift, 2) hundred, 3) plow, 4) airplane, and 5) twist. The standing posture alignment in the sagittal and frontal planes was measured using exbody 9100MOMI musculoskeletal analysis equipment. Results: A comparison of before and after the exercise using paired t-test revealed a significant decrease in the difference between the horizontal inclination and the vertical height that approached zero after the intervention in the frontal plane of anterior and posterior standing postures (p<0.05), and the lateral standing posture in the sagittal plane. In addition, the difference between the horizontal inclination and the vertical height decreased and approached zero after the intervention (p<0.05). Conclusion: The Pilates reformer exercise had a positive effect on the alignment of the standing posture.

In this paper, field application of mass concrete using setting time difference of super retarding agent is reported to reduce hydration heat of concrete placed at newly constructed apartment house in Busan. Horizontal placing lift is applied. According to test results. slump and air content meets the requirement of target values. For compressive strength, it exceeds the nominal strength ordered by the costumer. Compressive strength of concrete cured in place is achieved more than the values of nominal strength at l4days. For temperature history, maximum temperature of center at top section shows 58.5$^{\circ}C$, and at bottom section, 62.6$^{\circ}C$. According to naked eye's investigation, no hydration heat crack is observed at the surface of concrete.
