집안의 TV 수신기로 접수되는 TV 프로그램 신호를 끊임없이 외부의 라우터로 중계하여 집밖의 어디에서든 인터넷만 연결되어 있으면 집안의 TV, PVR 또는 DVD 플레이어를 원격 작동하여 집밖에서 집안의 기기들의 컨텐츠를 감상할 수 있다. 이 때 홈 서버용 개인형 방송 미디어 플레이어를 제안함으로써 집 밖의 원거리에 있는 내 PC상에서 집 안의 기기들의 컨텐츠 데이터를 실제 리모콘을 조작하듯이 TV를 켜고, 끄고, 채널을 변경하고, 외부입력(PVR 또는 DVD 플레이어 등)을 전환하는 등 가상의 리모콘을 통해 사용자 마음대로 전송받고 제어할 수 있는 홈 서버용 개인형 방송 미디어 플레이어를 제안한다.

In this paper, the result of a performance study on a home-built spinning disk type confocal microscope is presented. The confocal microscope was fabricated with a Nipkow disk made of the made of the microfilm. The throughput of the disk was 0.5%, allowing the observation of specimen with higher reflectivities only. A laser diode at 692.7nm was used as the light source. The topographic structures of a PC ROM and the CD ROM were observed with sufficient reliability, while the effect of the convolution of the beam size with the finite object size was found dominant. Also the shadowing effect by the etched pattern was observed.

For lab statistics the statistical package SAS is usually used in PC environment. But most Universities in Korea have bought 'Academic Initiative Package chair licence', which allows to install SAS to student lab PCs only. Most students are hardly able to afford to purchase a licence for use of SAS in their PCs at home or other places than school. It would be very convenient to have a web-based SAS system, physically located inside a campus, which university students can use through internet. In this paper we report the web-based SAS system implemented for the lab purpose of Yeungnam University using SAS/Intrnet module. We overcome some Server-Client environmental difficulties not allowing use of the SAS command 'infile' by implementing modules with PHP language. In the system, users can see and execute some basic SAS sample codes by clicking buttons, which makes students feel comfy in SAS programming.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of assets and liabilities of farm households and to evaluate the financial status of rural middle-aged and old-aged household using financial ratios. For these purposes an empirical survey data was gathered from rural middle-aged and old-aged households in 8 provinces using structured questionnaires. 877 households data were used in final analysis. The statistical methods used for data analysis are frequency percentile mean The statistical methods used for data analysis are frequency percentile mean median standard deviation $\chi$2 and t-test using SPSS/PC WIN program. Among financial ratios 64.7% of total households could meet the guideline of consumption to income ratio 5.9% of total households could meet the appropriate level of short-term and long-term liquidity. In the case of debt burden ration 82% of total households could meet the guideline. And 28.5% of total households could meet the guideline of capital stock ratio .

The purpose of the study was to investigate the wife and husband role division in household financial management between dual-income household and single-income household. Household financial management included the following five categories: financial planning, consumption/expenditure management, savings/investment management, risk management and credit management. Data for this research was collected through 610 married women living in Seoul, Korea. Using SAS-PC program, Chi-square and t-test Analyses were executed. The results showed that dual- and single-income households tend to have different perspectives on marital role division in household management. Wives of dual-income households had more significant roles in financial management rather than wives of single income households. Especially, wives of dual-income managed more active credit management and saving/investment management. On the other hand, wives of single-income households played a major role in making decision over cheap items than that of wives of dual-income household.

일반적으로 홈 게이트웨이는 가정 내 PC와 인터넷 가전 모두에 대해 공유 인터넷 액세스가 가능하도록 통신 서비스와 홈게이트웨이 자체의 보안 및 홈 오토메이션과 같은 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 추가로 미래에 제공되어야 할 여러 서비스를 위해서는 현재 개발되는 홈 게이트웨이는 모듈식 아키텍쳐를 기반으로 해야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 홈 게이트웨이를 구현하기 위해서는 독창적이고 확장 가능한 하드웨어 플랫폼은 물론, 운영체제 및 애플리케이션의 업그레이드와 새로운 서비스의 배치를 가능케 해주는 강건한 파일 시스템을 포함해야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 위와 같은 홈 게이트웨이 기능 및 새로운 서비스 추가 및 관리에 용이한 개방형 표준인 OSGi(Open Service Gateway Initiative)를 기반으로 한 홈게이트웨이를 설계하고, 본 플랫폼을 통한 댁내 가전제어를 위해 센서네트워크와 연동하여 실제 댁내에 부착된 액추에이터 센서노드를 제어할 수 있도록 개발했다. 가전제어를 위한 S/W는 OSGi 상에서 서비스 번들로 개발하였으며 언제 어디에서든 해당 번들을 다운받아 홈 제어가 가능하다.

요즘 값싼 PC들을 빠른 네트웍으로 묶어 높은 성능을 얻고자하는 클러스터 컴퓨팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지면서 CPU나 메모리, 네트웍보다 상대적으로 느린 디스크에서 데이터를 읽어 효율적으로 파일서비스를 하는 분산 파일 시스템이 개발되었다. 기존 분산 파일 시스템 중 클러스터 컴퓨팅에서 많이 사용하는 Linux 운영 체제에서 병렬 I/O를 사용하여 사용자에게 빠른 파일 서비스를 제공하여 주는 PVFS가 개발되었다. 기존 PVFS에서는 캐쉬 시스템을 제공하고 있지 않기 때문에 읽기 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 PVFS를 위한 상호 협력 캐쉬를 설계하고 구현하였다. 기존에 구현된 PVFS를 위한 상호 협력 캐쉬는 힌트 기반 상호 협력 캐쉬로서 부정확한 읽기/쓰기를 수행함으로서 읽기/쓰기 부하가 커지는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 PVFS를 위한 상호 협력 캐쉬의 읽기/쓰기 성능 향상을 위해 PVFS를 위한 상호 협력 캐쉬를 홈 기반 상호 협력 캐쉬로서 설계 및 구현한다. 그리고 PVFS, 기존 PVFS를 위한 힌트 기반 상호 협력 캐처와 PVFS를 위한 홈 기반 상호 협력캐쉬의 성능을 비교, 분석한다.

네트웍 기술이 급속도로 발달함에 따라, 다수의 PC를 보유하고 인터넷 서비스를 사용하는 가정이 늘어나고 있다. 이렇게 가정에서의 네트웍 환경이 변함에 따라, 가정 내에서의 원활한 네트웍 서비스의 제공과 가전기기들 간의 통신을 연결하는 기술이 홈 네트워킹에서 주된 관심사가 되고 있다. 이렇게 홈 네트웍이 확장됨에 따라 홈 네트웍 내에서의 트래픽 증가가 예상되는데, 증가된 트래픽을 어떻게 관리하고 서비스를 제공할 것인가가 홈 네트웍 발전에 큰 영향을 미칠 것이라고 예견된다. 홈 네트웍에서 존재할 수 있는 트래픽은 크게 3가지 정도로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 제어 트래픽, 인터넷이나 non-real-time 트래픽, 그리고 real-time multimedia 트래픽이다. 이러한 복합적인 홈 네트웍에서의 트래픽을 처리하기 위해, 사용자가 많이 사용한 트래픽에 대해 우선권을 부여하는 방식과 각 트래픽의 고유한 성질을 보존하는 priority-based 트래픽 제어 구조를 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로는 사용자가 빈번히 사용한 트래픽 class에 대해서는 priority가 높게 할당되며, 각 트래픽의 특성이 감안된 priority 변화를 보여주고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine prepurchase information seeking behavior and postpurchase satisfaction levels for the diet products. Ninty-one women who were living in Cheongju-city area were selected. The survey was conducted during 1996. 7. 25$\sim$8. 12, and questionnare and SAS PC program were utilized. The major findings were as follows : 1. The level of information seeking activity was found to be rather low level, 9.2/20. 2. Friend colleague neighborhood were found to be the most important information source. 3. The level of information seeking according to diet product attributes was found to be rather high, 2.5/3. 4. The level of satisfaction was found to be rather low, 1.6/3. 5. Positive relationships were found between satisfaction level and friend colleague neighborhood, and family relatives out of 6 information sources.

Today, the proliferation of various mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablet PC, brought changes in the existing TV viewing behavior. People use smart devices as secondary device while watching TV. Researches on a wide range of services linked with second-screen devices around the smart TV in the home network have been actively conducted. While there exist several Web-related technologies for connections between devices, specialized techniques for a second screen service are quite insufficient. There are still some problems related to the display of contents from multiple devices and the efficient transfer of these contents. Considering the characteristics of broadcasting systems In this study, we focus on a second screen service that permits a dynamic transfer of contents by connecting a television (TV) with mobile devices. Here, we propose a second screen service model to enable the personalization of TV contents by combining the existing broadcasting and Web-related techniques.
