Multi-Layer Ceramic Circuit(MLCC) in the face of thousands of fine pitch multi hole is processed. However, the fine pitch multi hole has a size of only a few micrometers. Therefore, in order to curtail the measurement time and reduce error, the image processing measurement method is required. So, we proposed an image processing measurement algorithm which is required to accurately measure the fine pitch multi hole. The proposed algorithm gets image of the fine pitch multi hole, extracts object from the image by morphological process, and extracts the parameters of its position and feature by edge detecting process. In addition, we have used the sub-pixel algorithm to improve accuracy. As a result, the proposed algorithm shows 97% test-retest measurement reliability within 2 ${\mu}m$. We found that the algorithm was wellsuited for measuring the fine pitch multi hole.
Security issue in mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a promising research. In 2011, we had accomplished a survey of black hole attacks in MANETs. However network technology is changing with each passing day, a vast number of novel schemes and papers have been proposed and published in recent years. In this paper, we survey the literature on malicious attacks in MANETs published during past 5 years, especially the black hole attack. Black hole attacks are classified into non-cooperative and collaborative black hole attacks. Except black hole attacks, other attacks in MANET are also studied, e.g., wormhole and flooding attacks. In addition, we conceive the open issues and future trends of black hole detection and prevention in MANETs based on the survey results of this paper. We summarize these detection schemes with three systematic comparison tables of non-cooperative black hole, collaborative black hole and other attacks, respectively, for a comprehensive survey of attacks in MANETs.
A this experimental study is executed to analyze spray characteristics for air-shrouded injector and 4hole 2spray type injector used in a gasoline engine. Since spray parameters including spray penetration and angle, SMD, and atomization characteristics are very important to increase the engine performance, the image processing algorithm for measuring the non-spherical spray diameter is developed. Spray characteristics of the air-shrouded injector(2hole 2spray) and 4hole-2spray injector are analyzed respectively by this digital image processing method. Effective spray characteristics to injectors is derived from this experimentation and obtained the design guide for gasoline injector.
Stretch-flangeability, which is the ability of sheet steels to be deformed into complex shapes, is a critical formability property in automobile body parts. In this study, the center-hole for hole expansion test, which is normally used to evaluate the stretch-flangeability of sheet steels, was prepared by both punching and electrical discharge machining (EDM) methods. Hole expansion ratio (HER) of punched hole was far lower than the HER of EDM drilled hole because of damage/crack in hole-edge due to punching process. The effect of hole-edge condition on HER was quantified by mechanical, fractographic and geometric factors. Based on these factors, the empirical equation used to determine HER for various sheet steels was derived using non-linear regression.

A hole expansion process is an important process in producing a hub-hole in a wheel disc of a vehicle. In this process, the main parameter is the formability of a material that is expressed as the hole expansion ratio. In the process, a crack is occurred in the upper edge of a hole as the hole is expanded. Since prediction of the forming limit by hole expansion experiment needs tremendous time and effort, an appropriate fracture criterion has to be developed for finite element analysis to define forming limit of the material. In this paper, the hole expansion process of a hub-hole is studied by finite element analysis with ABAQUS/standard considering several ductile fracture criteria. The fracture mode and hole expansion ratio are compared with respect to the various fracture criteria. These criteria do not predict its fracture mode or hole expansion ratio adequately and show deviation from experimental results of hole expansion. A modified ductile fracture criterion is newly proposed to consider the deformation characteristics of a material accurately in a hole expansion process. A fracture propagation analysis at the hub-hole edge is also performed for high accuracy of prediction using the new fracture criterion proposed.

Optimization of hole-making operations in manufacturing industry plays a vital role. Tool travel and tool switch planning are the two major issues in hole-making operations. Many industrial applications such as moulds, dies, engine block, automotive parts etc. requires machining of large number of holes. Large number of machining operations like drilling, enlargement or tapping/reaming are required to achieve the final size of individual hole, which gives rise to number of possible sequences to complete hole-making operations on the part depending upon the location of hole and tool sequence to be followed. It is necessary to find the optimal sequence of operations which minimizes the total processing cost of hole-making operations. In this work, therefore an attempt is made to reduce the total processing cost of hole-making operations by applying relatively new optimization algorithms known as shuffled frog leaping algorithm and proposed modified shuffled frog leaping algorithm for the determination of optimal sequence of hole-making operations. An industrial application example of ejector plate of injection mould is considered in this work to demonstrate the proposed approach. The obtained results by the shuffled frog leaping algorithm and proposed modified shuffled frog leaping algorithm are compared with each other. It is seen from the obtained results that the results of proposed modified shuffled frog leaping algorithm are superior to those obtained using shuffled frog leaping algorithm.
In recent years, dissimilar materials such as aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and advanced high strength steel are widely used in automotive body due to environment concerns and fuel consumption. Therefore, joining technology is important for assembling components made of dissimilar materials. In this study, friction stir hole clinching (FSHC) was proposed as a new mechanical joining method to join dissimilar materials. This process stirs and heats the upper sheet, forming mechanical interlocking with the lower sheet. The feasibility of this FSHC process was verified by comparing cross-section of joint in FSHC and hole clinching process under the same processing condition. Taguchi method was also applied to the FSHC process to estimate the effect of process parameters on joint strength and obtain optimal combination of process parameters. Joint strength of FSHC with optimal process condition was compared to that of FSHC with initial process condition as well as that of hole clinching with optimal process condition. Results showed that the FSHC process was useful for joining dissimilar materials, even if the formability of materials was low.

In this paper, hole expanding tests are carried out in order to identify the effect of the hole process condition on the hole expanding ratio. Specimens with two different hole conditions are prepared: one is produced with punching process; and the other is reamed after punching to get smoother hole surface. The experimental results show that the facture mechanism and the hole expanding ratio are quite different with respect to the hole condition. The hole expanding ratio of a punched specimen is much smaller than that of a reamed one due to the difference of surface roughness and internal defects. For the thorough investigation of those effects, tensile tests of a specimen with a hole are performed. The fracture strain is obtained with different hole conditions and a finite element analysis of the hole flanging process carried out. The experimental results are confirmed and reevaluated by finite element analysis of the hole flanging process with ductile fracture criterion proposed.

Micro via hole Fabrication is studied by means of minimizing method to circuit size as many electric products developed to portable and minimize. Most of currently micro via hole fabrication using laser is that fabricate insulator layer using CO2 Laser after Cu layer by etching, or fabricate insulator layer using IR after trepanning Cu by UV. In this paper, it was performed that a metal layer and insulator layer were worked upon only one UV laser, and increase to processing speed by experiment.
Recently CFRP laminate joints process by bolts and nets are developed rapidly in aircraft industries. However, there are serious drawback during jointing process. Many hole processes are needed for the manufacturing and structural applications using composite materials. Generally, very durable polycrystalline crystalline diamond (PCD) drill has been used for the CFRP hole process. However, due to the expensive price and slow process speed, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond drill has been used increasingly which are relatively-low durability but easily-adjustable process speed via drill shape change and price is much lower. In this study, the comparison of hole process between PCD and CVD diamond coated drills was done. First of all, CFRP hole processbility was evaluated using the equations of hole processing conditions (feed amount per blade, feed speed). The comparison on thermal damage occurring from the CFRP specimen was also studied during drilling process. Empirical equation was made from the temperature photo profile being taken during hole process by infrared thermal camera. In addition, hole processability was compared by checking hole inside condition upon chip exhausting state for two drills. Generally, although the PCD can exhibit better hole processability, hole processing speed of CVD diamond drill exhibited faster than PCD case.
