This study is aimed to define and classify GREEN TOURISM (GT) resources as the basis for rural sustainable development, and to analyze the current conditions of GT and applicable resources in Korea. For these purposes, a field survey about 24 rural villages in Japan and Korea is applied, accompanied by a questionnaire survey of 30 specialists, as well as a literature review. The results of this study are summarized as follows. The concept of GT has 3 important points: interchange between rural and urban residents, staying in villages, and residents' participation. GT resource are divided into 4 types: Agricultural, Ecological, Historical and Living resources in a space and activity program. In addition, the GT resources in Japan are more quantitatively abundant than in Korea, but Korean agricultural and ecological resources were more abundant relatively. According to the several methods above, 18 space and 14 activity programs were classified. Lastly, this study analyzed the applicable 32 Korean resources using the specialists' questionnaire survey. Among the space resources, ecological landscape, farm produce, farm-land, water, and historical landscape have higher applicability, but the applicability of sports, event, commemoration, and divine space are lower. Among the activity programs, farm produce, animal, plant, food&beverage, and living appliance have higher applicability.

This paper proposed the validity and necessity of establishing the Jungwon Historical and Cultural Area by reviewing the historical characteristics of the name Jungwon and its temporal and spatial range. We also explored ways to utilize the Jungwon historical and cultural Area under the Special Act on the Maintenance of Historical and Cultural Areas. Jungwon, which means the center of the country, has strategic value as a key area connecting the Korean Peninsula to the north and south through the Geripryeong and Jukryeong. It also includes Chungju, which connects the Namhan and Bukhan Rivers . From the Mahan period, the areas of Cheongju and Jincheon, the Miho Stream basin to the west, and Chungju to the east were closely connected to each other. Afterwards, Baekje, Koguryo, and Silla engaged in a fierce battle to occupy the Jungwon area. Jungwon culture was born through the negotiation and fusion of the cultures of the three kingdoms. In particular, Silla continued to value the Jungwon area, demonstrated by the installation of Seowongyeong in Cheongju and Bukwongyeong in Wonju, centering on the Jungwongyeong. Since we have a historical view with a focus on ancient kingdoms, we have overlooked the full value of the history and culture of Jungwon. We need to recognize the importance of Jungwon area and think about how to utilize it. Therefore, we suggested in this paper that there be more public information services on the cultural heritage of Jungwon, the historical heritage experience, and the education programs for local residents. The development and operation of Jungwon's history, culture, and tourism contents, as well as the various academic research papers should be used to reveal the identity of the Jungwon historical and cultural area.

The thesis of this analytical study includes 1) the generation of annual and monthly discharge regarding single hydrological variable at single site, 2)comparsion with the historical records and the generation, and 3) changing the monthly generatied discharge into annual. The conclusion of this will be used for the future plan for water resources development. Annual discharges at waegwan are characterized by log-normal distirbution and persistence-absent. Also, the random number generator causes the errors in the generation of annual discharge. The serial correlation coefficients of the generated annual discharge have less value than that of historical records, while the correlation coefficient and slope in January have(+) value and opposite to historical record. To change the monthly generated discharge into annual is not proper.

In school mathematics the derivative concept is intuitively taught with the tangents and the concept of instantaneous velocity. In this paper, I investigated the long historical developments of the derivative concepts and analysed the relationships between the definition of derivative and the related elements. Finally I proposed some educational implications based on the analysis.

This study is to review the development of calico printing pattern design for fabric through historical perspective. Calico is a cotton cloth named from Calicut, a city of India. It was first brought to England by the East India company in 1621. Although the name is generally given and plain white cotton cloth, and in America it is applied to small-scale printed cottons, today it applies to indian cotton cloth, coarse or fine, woven with colored geometrical large-scale and small-scale patterns, painted or printed. Therefore this paper proposes the classification and feature extraction of calico printing pattern from the early of 16th century to 21th century. The results of this study can be effectively applied to develop competitive calico pattern design in domestic cotton textile industry.

Purpose - This study sought to discuss definitions of organizational culture taking into consideration different views, and the historical and philosophical elements of organizational culture. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This paper is a relatively conceptual study that has attempted to define organizational culture, a topic that has been debated among scholars and practitioners. Various studies in the literature related to organizational culture have been reviewed in an effort to reduce the complexities and ambiguities in definitions of organizational culture. Results -This study summarized and synthesized different studies related to organizational culture, and identified the main streams for defining organizational culture as being from the historical and philosophical elements of organizational culture. Conclusions -The concept of organizational culture continues to be an important factor affecting organizational effectiveness and initiating organizational development. However, the definition of organizational culture has not been well-established. In this sense, this paper seems to be significant and meaningful as it attempts to define organizational culture from different perspectives.

Despite the new wave of diverse philosophical thoughts in nursing, the criteria for theory evaluation rarely incorporate the new thoughts in its realm. Especially, feminist thoughts, which have contributed to the development of nursing knowledge through incorporating diversities and complexities of nursing phenomenon and reflecting social, cultural, and historical contexts surrounding nursing encounters, were rarely incorporated into the evaluation criteria. In this paper, a feminist approach to theory evaluation is proposed based on a critical analysis of the existing evaluation criteria. First, a historical review of feminist thoughts is provided, and feminist principles across diverse groups of thinking within feminism are discussed. Then, theory evaluation criteria are historically analyzed and critiqued while considering the feminist principles. The critical points found in the currently available theory evaluation criteria include: (a) the evaluation criteria are based on objectivity, (b) they are ignoring gender differences; (c) cultural differences tend not to be seriously considered; and (d) contexts surrounding nursing phenomenon are rarely considered. Based on the critical points, four additional components for theory evaluation are proposed. The components are: (a) respect for subjectivity; (b) historical and sociopolitical contextual considerations; (c) gender sensitivity; (d) cultural competence; and (e) blueprint for action.

This paper reviews several different single site generation models for further development of a model for generating the Synthetic sequences of streamflow in the continuous streams like main streams in Korea. Initially the historical time series is looked using a time series technique, that is correlograms, to determine whether a lag one Markov model will satisfactorily represent the historical data. The single site models which were examined include an empirical model using the historical probability distribution of the random component, the linear autoregressive model(Markov model, or Thomas-Fiering model) using both logarithms of the data and Matala's log-normal transformation equations, and finally gamma distribution model.

This study covers the economic effects generated by historical dramas of NHK, which is the Japanese Public Broadcasting company, The Study shows that NHK historical dramas have significantly contributed to the development of Japan's local economy. According to the analyses conducted by the Bank of Japan, "Ryomaden" brought an economic effect of 6.127 billion Korean Won to Kochi and Nagasaki where the dramas were filmed, because the number of tourists increased dramatically as the dramas became very popular. The NHK historical dramas also had a very positive influence on the manufacturing and service sectors. NHK's production of historical dramas has been regarded as an effort to maximize the public service of the broadcasting.
