Analysis of Characteristics of Body Vibrations for Korean High Speed Train (한국형 고속전철의 차체 진동특성 분석)

  • The prototype of Korean high speed train(KHST), composed of two power cars, two motorized cais and three trailer cars, has been designed, fabricated and tested. In this paper. the body vibration has been reviewed from the viewpoint of the vehicle's safety, the ride comfort and the vibration limits for components and sub-assemblies mounted on the car-body using by analytical method and experimental method. The on-line test of KHST has been tarried out up to 260 ㎞/h in the KTX line and the results of the on-line test show that KHST has no problems in the vehicle's safety. the comfort ride and the vibration limits at this speed. And the characteristics of body vibrations has been Predicted at 300 ㎞/h and 350 ㎞/h by fitting curve about the measured acceleration signals.

  • In this paper, the results of field testing of high-speed power line in-home networking in Korea are reported. When multiple networks share a common channel, they can interfere destructively and reduce system capacity. This is major problem in-home power line communications, especially in MDU deployments. The effects of neighboring network interference in power line communications are reported.

  • Subject of this paper is analysis of channel noise and impedance characteristics for high speed power line communication to concerned noise of transmission line and impedance in the frequency range up to 30MHz. Parameters of transmission line was inducted from experimentally power line channel measurement.   • The characteristics of dynamic vibration are generally analyzed by an acceleration of a car body of high speed train and the acceleration can be applied to evaluation of running safety. The test of process and the analysis method about it are well explained on UIC Code 518 OR which is the spacial international standard about running safety and dynamic behavior on the line test for railway vehicle. Korean High Speed Train designed to operate at speed 350km/h has been tested on high speed line since it was developed in 2002 and it recorded the highest speed 352.4km/h at the 16th Dec. 2004 in Korea. This paper includes the analysis of running behavior of this train at speed 350km/h and the analysis of dynamic safety is presented in it, extending to the range of high speed while the UIC 518 limit the speed below 200km/h.

  • In the testing stage of HEMU-400X(next Korean high speed train) developing project, maximum speed(400km/h) tests will be conducted. On present and near future conditions of the overhead contact lines, 400km/h is over the design speed criteria. The predictions of current collection performance including the percentage loss of contact(arcs level) parameter through dynamic interaction simulation of HEMU-400X maximum speed test run are described in this paper. Various simulations are conducted at the condition of two different contact wire tensions to draw the proper contact wire increasing values in the 400km/h test line under the available contact wire tension supporting condition of that line.

  • An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipments such as transformers, converter and traction motors are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of Korean High Speed Train. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, measurement and evaluation for the performance of electric equipments in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

  • The most important thing to secure safety and reliability of railway vehicles is to verify performance characteristics of equipments, and related companies or research institutes had many efforts to verify performances and functions of equipments synthetically and efficiently. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute). A Study on Fluctuating Pressure Load on High Speed Train Passing through Tunnels

  • The carbody structure of a high speed train passing through a tunnel is subjected to pressure fluctuation. Fatigue strength of the carbody structure against the fluctuating pressure loading should be proved in the design stage for safety. In this study, to get the useful information on the pressure fluctuation in the tunnel, measurement has been conducted during test running of KHST on the high speed line for two years. The measured results were analyzed and arranged to be used for carbody design. A prediction method for the magnitude and frequency of pressure change was proposed and the propagating characteristics of pressure wave was investigated. By statistical analysis for the measured results, a pressure loading spectrum for the high speed train was given. The proposed method can also be used to estimate the pressure loading spectrum for new high speed line at design stage combined with the results of train performance simulation.

  • 대용량, 고속 정보처리가 요구되는 System의 모듈은 Data 처리의 고속성 및 회로의 고집적이 가능한 MCM의 형태로 구현되어 ATM, GPS 및 PCS 등의 분야에 광범위하게 응 용되고 있다. 위와 같은 High Speed 응용분야에서의 System 성능은 Interconnect Line의 전달지연, 임피던스 부정합에 의한 신호 반사 손실. 신호선 간의 Crosstalk, Ground Bounce 등의 현상에 대한 최적화 여부에 결정적인 영향을 받는다. 그러나 Interconnect의 특성상 정 형이 존재하지 않으므로 추상적인 Library를 구축하는 형식으로 접근할 수밖에 없으며 이를 위하여 여러기본 구조를 정의한후 각 Dimension을 변수로 두고 해석 결과를 합성하여 Database화하는 접근방식이다. 본 논문에서는 MCM-D 공정을 이용하여 Interconnect Line 특성을 분석하고 Database화 하기 위한 Test Pattern을 구현하고 Time Domain reflectometry(TDR)을 이용하여 그특성들을 측정 분석하였다. Test pattern 제작은 MCM-D 공정으로 최소선폭 27$\mu$m, Via Hole 75$\mu$m으로 형성하였고 2 Layer Signal과 GND로 총 3Layer를 구현하였다. 특성분석을 위해 TDR장비와 모데링 및 Simulation S/W인 IPA 510 을 사용하였다. 이를 통해 MCM-D를 이용한 공정에서 Interconcet Line의 고주파 특성을 측정하고 정량화하여 LIbrary를 제작할수 있었다.
