Yb:YAG 디스크로 레이저 표면 용융 경화된 SKD61 열간금형강의 경도와 미세조직에 미치는 레이저 출력의 영향 (Effects of laser power on hardness and microstructure of the surface melting hardened SKD61 hot die steel using Yb:YAG disk laser)

  • In this study, effect of laser power on hardness and microstructure of SKD61 Hot Die steel of which surface was melted and hardened with Yb:YAG disk laser was investigated. Beam speed was fixed at 70 mm/sec and distance between them was 0.8 mm about Laser surface melting. The only thing that was changed laser power. Laser powers were 2.0, 2.4 and 2.8 kW. No defect was found under all conditions. As the laser power increased, the penetration depth were deepened and the bead width was also widened. There was no hardness deviation of fusion zone at same laser power and it was higher than that of heat affected zone. In addition, the more laser power increased, the more hardness in fusion zone decreased. Fusion zone was macroscopically dendrite structure. However, core matric in dendrite was lath martensite of 100 nm size. There were $M_{23}C_6$ of 500 nm and the VC and $Mo_2C$ of a nano meters on boundary of dendrite.

서모컬러를 이용한 회전 디스크의 레이저 온도 측정 (Laser Based Temperature Measurement of Rotating Disk Using Thermocolor)

  • In this paper, we proposed a laser-based non-contact temperature measuring method for high speed rotating polycarbonate (PC) disk using transparency change of thermocolor. The thermocolor has abilities to change color and transparency due to a change in temperature. The thermocolor is applied on one side of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane. The thermocolor applied membrane is attached to inside of reaction chamber in disk. An optical system consisted of a laser beam radiator and a laser photometer is installed. Laser is irradiated at the bottom side of disk and the transmitted laser beam is detected by the laser photometer at the opposite side of disk. During the disk is rotating, laser is irradiated and detected simultaneously. The laser photometer senses the transmitted laser power and generates voltage as output. The temperature of disk can be detected during the disk is rotating up to 3000 RPM.

  • A number of dust particles are intruded into ODD(Optical disk drive) due to the flow caused by disk rotation and are adhered to a lens or disk surface. The space between the disk and the lens is being reduced. Someone indicates the problems of this drive that are relatively small data storing capacity and slow access time. In recent, the problems of this optical disk drive mentioned above are being solved by adding the speed of the disk's revolution, making the actuator high-speed or light, and making the beam spot size smaller than making the space narrow between disk and lens. These particle contamination affects seriously RF Signal, readout signal in an ODD. Especially, the affected parts by a particle contamination in an ODD's readout signal are objective lens and media.

  • Thin solid film systems polarizing beam splitter and disk amplifier used in the high power laser system ({{{{ lambda }}0=1060nm) are designed by computer aided optimization technique. Extinction ratio of designed polarizing beam splitter for incidence angle 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$, 55.60$^{\circ}$ are 1:93, 1:895, 1:1991. respectively. Maximum reflectance of designed thin film system of disk amplifier is less than 3% for pumping band (500-900nm) and 0.15% for laser beam. Further, SiO film chosen as one of the suitable thin films in the high power laser system is prepared by the sol=-gel process which gives high damage threshold. When the withdrawal speed is 6.15cm/min -16.62 cm/min and the mixing ratio is in the range of 1 mol (ethylsilicate): 4-8mol(ethylalcohol) : 2mol(water), the thickness of deposited film is in the range of 500{{{{ ANGSTROM }}-1500{{{{ ANGSTROM }}.

  • Application for laser welding have increased steadily in recent years due to its benefits such as high speed, high productivity and high density energy heat source. In this study, the influence of welding parameters was investigated on penetration characteristics, mechanical properties including formability test in disk laser welded 1000MPa class steels. A shielding gas was used and bead-on-plate test was performed with various welding speeds. The main welding test was performed by butt welding with various welding speeds at 2.5 kW laser power.

  • Airborne contaminant particles are intruded into optical disk drive(ODD) due to the flow caused by disk rotation and can be adhered to objective lens, which causes read/write errors. Such a phenomenon can be a serious problem for high-density storage devices. The purpose of this paper is to understand the effect of particle contamination of objective lens in a CD-ROM drive on laser diode power and photo diode RF signal. The measurements of laser power and readout RF signal were carried out by using a laser power meter and a time interval analyzer, respectively. The parameters for estimating a readout-signal' distortion were its jitter and amplitude. Alumina(Al$_2$O$_3$) particles were used as test dust particles. The results show that the failure for data access happened as the degree of lens contamination was greater than 20%.

  • Optical working machines are developed. the machines are to be used in the preparation of Nd-phosphate glass amplifier rod and elliptical disk amplifier plate of the high power Nd-YLF-phosphate glass laser amplifier system. In this report, the working principles of the machines are presented, and several results are shown by photographes, design drawing and the disks actually fabricated by using the machines.

  • 200MHz 응향광변조기 (AOM: Acousto-Optic Modulator)는 제 2고조파(SHG: Second Harmonic Generation)녹색 레이저와 함께 DVDR(Digital Video Disk Recorder)에 적용되어 고밀도 광기록용으로 사용되었다. 이러한 고밀도 광기록 장치로써 사용되기 위해서는 고출력 레이저의 사용이 필수적이며, 레이저 빔이 통과하는 각 광학 소자들의 코팅막은 고출력 레이저 빔에 대해 높은 레이저 damage threshold를 가져야 한다. AOM의 음향공학재료로 사용되는 $TeO_{2}$단결정에 코팅막의 종류 및 증착조건을 변화시키며 E-beam 증착법으로 A/R코팅 시편을 준비하였다. 0.55W의 입력 power를 갖는Ar레이저를 사용하여 코팅의 광손상 정도를 확인하였다. $AI_{2}O_{3}$막에 비해 $ZrO_{2}$$SiO_{2}$막을 사용한 경우 레이저 damage threshold는 크게 향상되었다. 또한 AOM모듈을 제작 후 구동회로와 연결하여 약 20mW의 SHG power를 입력시키며 출력 power long term안정성을 측정하였다.

  • 한국천문연구원은 인공위성 레이저 추적, 적응광학, 우주쓰레기 레이저 추적 등 과학 연구 및 국가적 미션을 수행하기 위해 다목적 레이저 추적 시스템 개발을 추진해 오고 있다. 지상에서 고출력 펄스 레이저를 발진하여 우주쓰레기로부터 반사된 신호를 바탕으로 거리를 측정하는 우주쓰레기 레이저 추적 시스템은 광 경로 전환을 위해 회전 디스크 방식을 이용한다. 이러한 방식은 수신 검출기로 반사시킬 수 없는 충돌 영역이 발생하여 우주쓰레기 추적 성능에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 회전 디스크가 추적 성능에 영향을 미치는 홀 크기, 홀 개수, 회전 속도, 레이저와 홀의 중첩 비율, 레이저 빔 반경을 고려하여 추적 성능 분석 모델을 제시하였다. 제시된 성능 분석 모델을 이용하여 추적 범위 및 충돌 영역을 분석하고 거창 레이저 추적 시스템의 요구 조건을 만족하는 회전 디스크 사양을 제시하였다.
