견인 및 등판 성능을 통한 고소작업기계의 모터 주행장치 설계 (Design of Motor-driven Traveling System for High Clearance Working Machinery based on Tractive Performance and Hill Climbing Ability)

  • 이 연구는 과수원에 높은 통관 작업 기계에 적용되는 전동식 트럭 주행 시스템을 적용한 최적 설계가 제안되어 있습니다. 견인 성능과 언덕 등반 능력은 예측 및 기계 작업이 높은 틈새를 이용하여 과수원의 토양 특성을 고려하여 최적의 모터 주행 시스템을 평가 하였다. 견인 성능을 위한 설계 기준은 운동 저항을 뺀 견인력으로부터 산출 된 견인능력에 기초를 두었다. 등판 능력은 20%의 경사면을 3km/h의 속도로 수행되도록 하는 설계기준을 가지고 있다. 견인 및 등판 능력의 평가 결과에 따라 두 개의 DV48V, 4500rpm, 16kW AC 모터는 좌우 양쪽에서 독립적인 괘도를 갖는 것으로 적용된다. 각각의 모터는 50:1 감속기어 비율을 통하여 트랙형 주행 시스템의 구동 스프로켓에 동력을 전달하도록 설계되었다. 본 연구의 전동 트랙형 주행 시스템은 충분한 견인성능 및 등판 능력을 충분히 입증하고 20%의 경사지면을 갖는 과수원의 토양에서의 등반저항보다 12.5%가 더 높은 396kgf의 견인능력을 가지고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.

유한요소해석에 의한 슬리팅가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Slitting Working by Finite Element Analysis)

  • A slitter is a sort of machinery to cut sheet materials in rolls continuously in the longitudinal direction. Recently slitter line users have requiring higher quality and precision in products in addition to high productivity. A finite element analysis has been performed to investigate the effect of processing factors on shear planes in the slitting of Shrinkage Band(S,K.B.). For the analysis, Hot-dip 55% aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel sheets and coils(SAZCC) is selected as a material. The results obtained are that deformation was concentrated along the very narrow zone and the maximum slitting load decreases by increasing the knife clearance. Also effective strain decreases according to the clearance increases.

  • A mechanical face seal is a tribo-element intended to control leakage of working fluid at the interface between a rotating shaft and its housing. Leakage of working fluid decreases drastically as the clearance of the mating seal faces gets smaller. But the very small seal clearance results in an increased reduction of seal life because of high wear and heat generation. Therefore, in the design of mechanical face seals a compromise between low leakage and acceptable seal life is important, and it presents a difficult and practical design problem. A fluid film or sealing dam geometry of the seal clearance affects seal lubrication performance very much, and thereby it is one of the main design considerations. In this study the Reynolds equation for the sealing dam of mechanical face seals is numerically analyzed, using the Galerkin finite element method, which is readily applied to various seal geometries. Film pressures of the sealing dam are analyzed, including the effects of the seal face coning and tilt. Then, lubrication performances of the seals, such as opening forces, restoring moments, leakage, and dynamic coefficients, are calculated, and they are compared to the results obtained by the narrow seal approximation.

  • For high performance rotating machinery, unstable vibrations may occur caused by hydrodynamic forces such as oil film forces, clearance excitation forces generated by the working fluid, and etc. In order to improve the availability one has to take into account the vibrations very accurately. When designing a rotating machinery, the stability behavior and the resonance response can be obtained by calculation of the complex eigenvalues. A suitable modifications of seal and/or bearing design may effectively improve the stability and the response of a rotor system. This paper deals with the optimum length and clearance of seals and bearings to minimize the resonance response(Q factor) and to maximize the logarithmic decrement in the operating speed under the constraints of design variables. Also, for an avoidance of resonance region from the operating speed, an optimization technique has been used to yield the critical speeds as far from the operating speed as possible. The optimization method is used by the genetic algorithm, which is a search algorithm based on the mechanics of natural selection and natural genetics. The results show that the optimum design of seals and bearings can significantly improve the resonance and the stability of the pump rotor system.

A fluid film or sealing dam geometry of the seal clearance affects seal lubrication performance very much, and thereby is optimization is one of the main design consideration. in this study the Reynolds equation for the sealing dam of mechanical face seals is numerically analyzed, using the Galerkin finite element method, which is readily applied to various seal geometries, to give lubrication performances, such as opening force, restoring moment, leakage, and axial and angular stiffness coefficients. Then, to improve the seal performance an optimization is performed, considering various design variables simultaneously. For the tested case the optimization ha successfully resulted in the optimal design values of outer and inner seal radii, coning, seal clearance, and balance radius while satisfying all the operation subjected constraints and design variable side-constraints, and improvements of axial and angular stiffness coefficients by 16.8% and 2.4% respectively and reduction of leakage by 38.4% have been achieved.

DEVELOPMENT OF MUSHROOM SPAWN BOTTLE CUTTER-SPAWM CAKE SHREDDER

  • Spawn bottle cutting and spawn cake shredding machine has been developed to save the farm labor and operating cost for mushroom growing farmers. The prototype can cut the bottom and side of the bottle while shredding the spawn cake by one farmer. The cutting plastic shell is done by two couples of high speed disc saws that can cut cross section and lengthwise two side of the bottle, while spawn cake shredding is done by spike teethed rotating drum and wiremesh concave. The optimum speed of cutting disc saw was observed 1.700rpm both the cross cutting saw and lengthwise cutting saw in consideration of the cutting accuracy. And the location for the instalation of cross cutting disc saw was considered as around 4 mm above the table bottom , while the optimum clearance between two edges of lengthwise cutting disc saw was showed 86mm. For the sawdust spawn cake shredder , proper size of spawn sawdust granule was observed in the 15 x 15mm size withmesh concave with the shredding rum speed of 500rpm. The prototype can be reduce 73 per cent of working hours with the working cost reduction of 49 per cent compare with those of conventional operation.

로터리 댐퍼의 토오크 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Torque Characteristics of Rotary Dampers)

  • Rotary dampers are damping devices which provide high resistance to shaft rotation. Rotary dampers are being used in various areas to enable the gentle opening and closing of the rotation motion relative to home furniture, industry machinery and automotive parts. Rotary dampers can be installed directly at the rotating point of a various part and can achieve uniform, gentle movement which increases quality and value of products. And generally, the silicone fluid is used as the damping medium because of its stable viscous properties. The movement of these little decelerators can be achieved with a high viscosity of working fluid and throttles installed in the body of the rotary damper. The damping force can be achieved clockwise, anti-clockwise or in both directions according to the structure of the orifices or throttles. In this paper, the torque performances of the rotary damper containing air in the working fluid were studied. For this purpose, the torque characteristic of the rotary damper according to the variation of various operating conditions such as clearance of leakage, dimensions of groove orifice, content ratio of air, etc., were simulated with AMEsim software.

가정용 열병합 발전을 위한 스털링 엔진의 열원 온도 및 냉각수 유량에 따른 성능 실험 (Performance Measurements of A Stirling Engine for Household Micro Combined Heat and Power with Heat Source Temperatures and Cooling Flow Rates)

  • A Beta-type Stirling engine is developed and tested on the operation stability and cycle performance. The flow rate for cooling water ranges from 300 to 1500 ml/min, while the temperature of heat source changes from 300 to $500^{\circ}C$. The internal pressure, working temperatures, and operation speed are measured and the engine performance is estimated from them. In the experiment, the rise in the temperature of heat source reduces internal pressure but increases operation speed, and overall, enhances the power output. The faster coolant flow rate contributes to the high temperature limit for stable operation, the cycle efficiency due to the alleviated thermal expansion of power piston, and the heat input to the engine, respectively. The experimental Stirling engine showed the maximum power output of 12.1 W and the cycle efficiency of 3.0 % when the cooling flow is 900 ml/min and the heat source temperature is $500^{\circ}C$.
