IP 망에서의 액티브 노드 발견 및 액티브 패킷의 신뢰성 전송 기법 (Discovery of Active Nodes and Reliable Transmission of Active Packets in IP Networks)

  • IP 망에 액티브 네트워크 기술을 도입하기 위해서는 네트워크 내에서 물리적으로 직접 연결되지 않은 액티브 노드들이 서로에 대한 토폴로지 정보를 구성하고 관리하는 방법이 필요하다. 또한 하나의 프로그램을 수행하기 위해 필요한 액티브 패킷들은 손실 없이 전송되어야만 정상적인 작업을 수행할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 액티브 패킷은 중간 노드에서의 실행으로 기존의 네트워크에 비해 큰 융통성을 가지므로 효율성과 안전성이 보장되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 내의 액티브 노드들이 상호 간에 가입과 탈퇴 여부를 발견하기 위해서 OSPF(Open Shortest Path First) 프로토콜의 Opaque LSA(Link State Advertisement)를 이용하도록 하였다. 또한 수신지에서 손실을 감지하여 송신지에 재전송을 요구하는 신뢰성 전송 방식과 액티브 패킷의 사본을 이용한 복사 후 전송, 송ㆍ수신지에서의 보안 기법 적용이 이루어지도록 하는 액티브 패킷 전송 엔진을 제안하였다 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 기법과 비교ㆍ분석한 결과, 적용한 액티브 노드 발견 기법과 액티브 패킷 전송 엔진이 효율적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Currently, wind power has become a major research field in the area of sustainable development. As one important component of a wind turbine transmission system, most instances of downtime due to a gearbox failure are caused by bearing failures. Gearboxes for wind turbines must have the highest levels of reliability over a period of approximately 20 years, withstanding high dynamic loads. At the same time, a lightweight design and cost minimization efforts are required. These demands can only be met with a well-thought-out design, high-quality materials, a high production quality and proper maintenance. In order to design a reliable and lightweight gearbox, it is necessary to analyze methods pertaining to the bearing rating lifetimes of the standard and of different companies, also including calculation methods for modification factors. This can determine the influence of the bearing lifetime.

Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis on the Transmission of Column Loads through Slab-Column Connections

  • This paper presents the structural characteristics of slab-column connections by using nonlinear finite element analysis. FEA considering material non-linearity was performed to investigate average column strain, failure mode, principal stress distribution, and steel yielding conditions for various slab-column members. In addition, to investigate alternative methods for improving the strength of interior column-slab joints, some specimens were provided with different reinforcing types of high-strength concrete puddling, high-strength column longitudinal steels, dowel bars, and high-strength concrete core. To make certain of the reliability of the analytical program, analysis results for concrete material model developed and two specimens with and without puddling were compared with experimental results. It was found that providing the alternative reinforcing methods in the slab-column joint results in a significant improvement in performance. This includes an increase in the axial compressive strength, greater loading stiffness, and ductility.

  • In this paper, High Frequency PD measuring system using directional coupler sensors(DCS) is introduced. Especially the principles of the DCS and characteristics of the system are introduced. Evaluation of this system was carried by an adoption to the test circuit of 345kV XLPE $2000mm^2$ cable and EB-A, EB-G, PIJ, PNJ. In the test a PD measurement was carried out without shieldroom and under the on-line state and in the high frequency range at the remote site from the test object. The test result was satisfactory and this is due to the use of DCS and using a high frequency range and specific filter for radio and TV signal and low pass. This system can be used to the test of a new construction of cable and accessories and measuring of long-term deterioration of cable and accessories. And this will bring us the reliability of a power transmission.

Correlation between Physical Defects and Performance in AlGaN/GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor Devices

  • Microstructural origins of leakage current and physical degradation during operation in product-quality AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) devices were investigated using photon emission microscopy (PEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). AlGaN/GaN HEMTs were fabricated with metal organic chemical vapor deposition on semi-insulating SiC substrates. Photon emission irregularity, which is indicative of gate leakage current, was measured by PEM. Site specific TEM analysis assisted by a focused ion beam revealed the presence of threading dislocations in the channel below the gate at the position showing strong photon emissions. Observation of electrically degraded devices after life tests revealed crack/pit shaped defects next to the drain in the top AlGaN layer. The morphology of the defects was three-dimensionally investigated via electron tomography.

  • 수중음향 통신은 대역이 제한되어 있고 음파가 해저 및 해수면에 반사되어 신호가 수신된다는 특성 때문에 신뢰성이 높고 전송속도가 빠른 수중음향 통신의 구현이 어렵다. 그러므로 최근의 수중 통신시스템에서 다수의 센서를 이용하는 MIMO 기술이 활발히 연구 중에 있다. 그러나 송수신단의 다중 센서를 이용한 수중통신에서의 MIMO 통신기술은 송수신단의 각 수신 센서에서의 상관값이 크기 때문에 다중 경로로 인하여 공간 다이버시티를 사용해 이득을 기대하기가 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 송신 센서는 두개를 설정하고 수신센서를 한 개로 하는 MISO 채널에서 부호화 기법으로는 LDPC 부호를 이용하여 채널 추정 보상 기법과 결합하여 성능을 분석하였다.

Cost Effective Design of High Voltage Impulse Generator and Modeling in Matlab

  • Quality of the power system depends upon the reliability of its components such as transformer, transmission lines, insulators, circuit breakers and isolators. The transient voltage due to internal or external reasons may affect the insulation level of the components. The insulation level of these components must be tested against these conditions. Different studies, testing of different electrical components against high voltage impulses and different industrial applications rely on the international manufactures for pulsed power generation and testing, that is quite expensive and large in size. In this paper a model of impulse voltage generator with capacitive load of pin type insulator is studied by simulation method and by an experimental setup. A ten stage high voltage impulse generator (HVIG) is designed and implemented for different applications. In this proposed model, the cost has been reduced by using small and cheap capacitors as an alternative for large and expensive ones while achieving the same effectiveness. Effect of the distributed capacitance in each stage is analyzed to prove the effectiveness of the model. Different values of front and tail resistances have been used to get IEC standard waveforms. Results reveal the effectiveness at reduced cost of the proposed model.

  • While the modern society has been highly diversified and civilized, the demand for the safty of a power transmission has been greatly increased. For the underground cable, the performance of the electrical equipments is being improved by developing a new technology, and the reliability of the power supply is being up graded by impressing the diagnostic and monitoring technology of the system. In this paper the aging procedure of O.F and XLPE cables are described, including the diagnostic and monitoring equipments and the future subject.

Using DSP Algorithms for CRC in a CAN Controller

  • A controller area network (CAN) controller is an integral part of an electronic control unit, particularly in an advanced driver assistance system application, and its characteristics should always be advantageous in all aspects of functionality especially in real time application. The cost should be low, while maintaining the functionality and reliability of the technology. However, a CAN protocol implementing serial operation results in slow throughput, especially in a cyclical redundancy checking (CRC) unit. In this paper, digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms are implemented, namely pipelining, unfolding, and retiming the CAN controller in the CRC unit, particularly for the encoder and decoder sections. It must attain a feasible iteration bound, a critical path that is appropriate for a CAN system, and must obtain a superior design of a high-speed parallel circuit for the CRC unit in order to have a faster transmission rate. The source code for the encoder and decoder was formulated in the Verilog hardware description language.

  • To improve mean-life and reliability of power cable in this study, we have investigated chemical properties showing by changing the content of carbon black that is semiconductive additives for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the three of existing resins and the nine of specimens for measurement. Chemical properties of specimens was measured by FT-ATR (Fourier Transform Attenuated Total Reflectance). The condition of specimens was a solid sheet. We could observe functional group (C=O, carbonyl group) of specimens through FT-ATR. From these experimental result, the concentration of functional group (C=O) was high according to increasing the content of carbon black. We could know EEA was excellent more than other specimens from above experimental results.
